Abstract

ABSTRAK. Perkembangan kelompok ternak sangat menentukan pencapaian swasembada daging di Indonesia. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis kelas kemampuan kelompok ternak sapi potong dalam penerapan aspek manajemen berdasarkan panduan yang dikeluarkan oleh Kemeterian Pertanian (2018). Metode penelitian ini adalah studi kasus (case study) yang dilakukan pada kelompok ternak Balai gadang Sapan di Jorong Balimbing, Nagari Balimbing, Kec. Rambatan, Kab Tanah Datar. Data yang digunakan adalah data kuantitatif yang diperoleh melalui pengisian kuesioner oleh responden. Responden pada penelitian ini adalah anggota kelompok ternak yang berjumlah 18 orang. Pertanyaan kuesioner diturunkan dari variabel dan indikator kelas kemampuan kelompok yang dikeluarkan oleh Kemeterian Pertanian (2018) yang dikenal dengan panca kemampuan kelompok tani (Pakem Poktan). Data dianalisis dengan menjumlah dan menghitung rata-rata bobot yang telah diisi responden berdasarkan panduan Pakem Poktan (2018). Hasil penelitian untuk masing-masing variabel mendapatkan nilai kemampuan kelompok adalah kemampuan perencanaan (37,83),  pengorganisasian (98,32), melaksanakan kegiatan (175,94),  melakukan pengendalian dan pelaporan (15,38), dan mengembangkan kepemimpinan kelompok (22,72). Hasil penelitian secara total mendapatkan bahwa kelas kemampuan kelompok termasuk katagori Lanjut (350,61). Ini berarti bahwa kelompok ini telah berorentasi usaha.Kata Kunci: Kelas, kemampuan, kelompok, manajemen, sapi potongAnalysis of Farmers' Group Capabilities In The Implementation of Management Aspects: A Case Study ApproachABSTRACT. The development of livestock groups will determine the achievement of meat self-sufficiency in Indonesia. This research aims to analyze the ability class of beef cattle groups in implementing management aspects based on guidelines issued by the Ministry of Agriculture (2018). This research method is a case study conducted on the Balai Gadang Sapan livestock group in Jorong Balimbing, Nagari Balimbing, Kec. Rambatan, Tanah Datar District. The data used is quantitative data obtained through filling out questionnaires by respondents. The respondents of this study were members of a livestock group totaling 18 people. Questionnaire questions were derived from group capability class variables and indicators issued by the Ministry of Agriculture (2018) known as the five farmer group capabilities (Pakem Poktan). Data were analyzed by adding up and calculating the average weights filled in by respondents based on Pakem Poktan guidelines (2018). The results of the research found that the group's ability class included the Advanced category. This means that this group has a business orientation. The research results for each group ability variable are the ability to plan (37.83), organize (98.32), carry out activities (175.94), control and report (15.38), and develop group leadership (22, 38). The research results found that the group's ability class was in the Advanced category (350.61). This means that this group has a business orientation.

Abstract

EL Fitra Farm dairy goat farm, located in Padang City. It is the largest dairy goat farm in terms of population in the city. The farm demonstrates excellent technical performance. The breeds raised at the farm include Sapera, Anglo Nubian, Anglo Sapera, and Anglo Saperaboer. The goats are fed fermented green fodder and legumes. The average milk production is approximately 1.5 liters per goat per day. Milking is performed using a milking machine. The main objective of this community service was to optimize the marketing strategy of EL Fitra Farm’s goat milk products. The methods used included lectures, discussions, and mentoring. The implementation stages involved identifying problems and potential opportunities with partners, followed by mentoring in the development of marketing strategies. The marketing strategies were developed to suit the specific conditions of the partner, using the marketing mix (4Ps) approach: Product, Price, Place, and Promotion. The strategies were formulated based on a SWOT analysis by aligning identified strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats. S-O Strategy: Increase production volume, create marketing content, establish milk distribution partnerships, and expand the market reach. W-O Strategy: Develop product variations, design user-friendly and storable packaging, establish a brand, introduce different packaging sizes and pricing, engage resellers, participate in exhibitions and bazaars, use social media marketing, sell products at public sports venues, and obtain certificates of consumption suitability. S-T Strategy: Identify and create new market segments. W-T Strategy: Obtain halal certification and laboratory test results, invest in machinery and production technology, and offer price discounts.
