Abstract

This research aims to determine the impact of implementing a technology-based curriculum on students' creative thinking skills. The independent curriculum is a curriculum that provides freedom and flexibility for schools to develop their curriculum according to the needs and potential of their respective regions. Meanwhile, the use of digital technology in the learning process is expected to enhance students' creativity. The research method that will be used is a quantitative method with a quasi-experimental design featuring pre-test and post-test designs. The research sample consists of eighth-grade students from MTs Bani Karim. The sample was determined using simple random sampling techniques, totaling 46 students, divided into two groups: the experimental group (23 students) and the control group (23 students). The research instrument used is a creative thinking test. Data for the research was collected through pretest and posttest assessments. The data analysis technique employed is the t-test. The research results are expected to show that the implementation of the independent curriculum based on ICT has a positive and significant impact on enhancing students' creative thinking skills. The researchers' findings are expected to contribute to the development of a curriculum and learning that focuses on enhancing students' creativity, as well as serve as a consideration for the government and stakeholders in implementing the independent curriculum in schools

Abstract

Religious moderation has emerged as a crucial framework for addressing contemporary challenges such as radicalism, intolerance and social polarization in pluralistic societies. This study examines the concept of religious moderation through the lens of Shaykh Ahmad Shohibulwafa Tajul Arifin’s teachings in Miftāḥ al-Ṣudūr. Employing a library-based methodology, the research identifies key Sufi principles—tazkiyyah al-nafs (self-purification), mujāhadah al-nafs (struggle against base desires), and maḥabbah (compassionate love)—as core elements for fostering personal spiritual growth and collective harmony. These values are shown to align with the four indicators of religious moderation as outlined by Indonesia’s Ministry of Religious Affairs: national commitment, nonviolence, tolerance, and respect for local culture. The study highlights how practices such as dhikr (remembrance of God) and tawajjuh (spiritual meditation) not only cultivate inner awareness and emotional regulation but also contribute to building inclusive and peaceful communities. While the research focuses on textual analysis, it underscores the potential of Sufi-based approaches to counteract societal fragmentation by emphasizing ethical behavior and inward transformation. Although limited to textual interpretation, the study calls for further research incorporating fieldwork and interdisciplinary perspectives to assess the real-world application of Miftāḥ al-Ṣudūr’s teachings. Overall, the findings affirm the continued relevance of Sufism in shaping resilient, harmonious societies and offer a constructive paradigm for integrating spirituality with social cohesion in the modern era.

Abstract

This research aims to find out the genealogy and existence of the Mursyid Guru in the Thariqat Qadiriyah Naqsyabandiyah (TQN) at the Suryalaya Islamic Boarding School. This research uses the library research method, namely by examining and analyzing various relevant literature sources, such as books, scientific journals, manuscripts, official documents, and written works that discuss TQN and spiritual leadership (kemursyidan) at the Suryalaya Islamic Boarding School. Data analysis is carried out in a descriptive-qualitative manner through a content analysis approach to reveal the patterns, meanings, and understandings contained in the text. Data is analyzed through three stages, namely data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawn. The results of the study show that the transfer of the title of chastity in TQN Pontren Suryalaya is not biological hereditary as in the system of inheritance of power, but based on spiritual qualities and certain characteristics that a person must have. Therefore, not every individual can be appointed as a mursyid. An in-depth understanding of the criteria and process for appointing mursyid is an important aspect in the preservation and practice of the teachings of TQN Pontren Suryalaya, although in the current era there are many mursyid claims that are not in accordance with these principles. The contribution of this research is to provide a deeper conceptual understanding of the spiritual leadership system in TQN Pontren Suryalaya. This research can also be an important reference for academics, practitioners of the tariqat, and the general public in distinguishing between spiritually valid murshid and unfounded murshid claims.
