Abstract

The purpose of this study was to describe the factors of memory disorders experienced by children with Down syndrome in different ages at SLB 1 Padang, a case study on Peli and Sutan. The method and technique used in this study were the referencing method for the data collection stage with tapping technique as the basic technique and the advanced technique of proficient involvement (SLC), proficient inactivity (SBLC), note taking, and recording. Articulatory equivalent method for data analysis stage, and formal and informal presentation methods for the presentation phase of data analysis results. This study found that Sutan (S) had difficulties regarding the sequence of counts and alphabets mentioned, while Peli (P) when told to sing, the subject could not sing songs with the correct pronunciation. The lyrics spoken by the subject tend to be wrong and reversed the order. Apart from unclear articulation, and jumping lyrics, it appears that P has memory problems due to the abnormalities he experienced

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to describe the language skills that can be produced by a child with severe intellectual disability at SLB N 1 Padang . The method and technique used in this study were the referral method for the data collection stage with tapping techniques as basic techniques and advanced techniques of proficient involvement (SLC), proficient non-active listening (SBLC), notes, and records. Articulatory equivalent method for data analysis stage, and formal and informal presentation methods for the presentation phase of data analysis results. This study found that children's productive abilities are still very minimal and require rigorous training and long time so that they can make a change in language for children. Teachers and parents should also continue to train children with discipline. The ability to write to a new child at the stage of connecting the dots forms a phoneme. Cici hasn't been able to make one fonem well without being helped by dots. Cici hasn't been able to read, count, and doesn't like drawing. Then, there may be a nerve problem in the child's brain that causes his hands and fingers to always vibrate. His emotional state at any time can peak and uncontrollable.

Abstract

The title of this research is Language Acquisition in Postpubertal Age Children in Class IX. A SMP-IT Bunayya, Padangsidimpuan City. The purpose of the study is to obtain the results of the calculation of the Mean Length of Utterances (MLU) or the average length of utterances produced by postpubertal students with introverted personalities in writing. Explaining sentences produced by postpubertal students with introverted personalities in terms of simplicity and completeness of the basic sentences they have. Methods and Techniques used in this research: Listen (Sudaryanto 1993): SLC, SBLC, record, note, fishing, psychoneurolinguistic methods according to Nunan as well as formal and informal. The expected result of this research is that it can be used as a tool to find out how language is able to represent the personality possessed by humans. This research is also expected to be able to contribute to language teaching to postpubertal students with introverted personalities. It is hoped that this research will increase the insight of educators and the general public, especially about the language attitudes of post-pubertal students with introverted personalities and introverted groups in general.

Abstract

This research is a case study on two students of SLB Negeri 1 Padang. The methods and techniques used in this research are, at the data collection stage using the rules of observation and analysis, case studies, natural observation, and listening. In addition, the listening-engagement technique (SLC) is also used, free-engage-in conversation (SBLC) listening, recording, taking notes, recording with a speech analyzer, flash cards, articulatory matching method for the data analysis stage, and formal and informal presentation methods for the presentation stage. results of data analysis. The source of data in this study is the source of oral data taken from the speech of the Down syndrome sufferer, namely P and S. Based on the data analysis that has been done, P is able and understands the use of affixation from the description of the picture card (FC) shown to him, there are 6 types of affixation produced by P and as many as 11 forms are said by P. In contrast to S who is still unable to to pronounce affixation at all, because the sylabas that can be pronounced tend to only be final sylabas on each picture card (FC) submitted to S. The factors that influence the difference in verbal abilities of DS sufferers are P and S, including attention disorders (understanding), memory disorders, emotional and feeling disorders, as well as psychological factors.

Abstract

This research focuses on the analysis and interpretation of the values and meanings contained in Ulos cloth, as identity and culture. The aim of this research is to understand the meaning implicit in Ulos cloth culture. To limit understanding, the researcher formulated the research focus in a simple description with several core points contained in the title Culture and Characteristics of the Batak Tribe. Data collection techniques were carried out through observation and interviews. This research uses qualitative research methods. By using this method we find out the meaning contained in Kian Ulos as Batak Culture. The purpose of this research is to find out the philosophical meaning contained in the Ulos Cloth, to find out the message contained in the Ulos Cloth. Keywords: Culture, Semiotic Analysis, Meaning contained in Ulos Cloth.

Abstract

The purpose of this service is a sociopragmatic study to explore the use of language used by speakers. either in the form of advice or good advice from parents to children, from someone to colleagues, and so on. Then, it will also discuss writing errors related to foreign languages ​​for prestige value, but the goal is even less due to writing errors due to lack of understanding regarding writing in English. Another purpose is to increase the selling value of a product which indirectly reflects the social class of a society. The method used in data collection is the listening method, namely listening to the use of language to obtain lingual data (Sudaryanto, 1993:133). This method is described using several techniques, namely tapping techniques, observing and observing skillfully, observing freely, recording, and note-taking techniques. The result of this dedication is that the language will create diversity, which is influenced by various factors. One of them is that language users who are heterogeneous with different backgrounds will continuously be able to more or less influence the language used. The existence of social levels in society is enough to contribute to the variety of languages ​​that appear in the midst of society.

Abstract

This study investigates the effectiveness of Wordwall, a web-based learning platform, in boosting understanding and interest in Indonesian language learning for junior high school level IX students. The study implemented a mixed-methods approach. Data was collected through observations of teaching and learning patterns, interviews with students and teachers, and pre- and post-intervention tests to assess student learning outcomes. Data analysis involved reduction, presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results showed that using Wordwall led to a significant increase in student learning outcomes and a noticeable improvement in both their understanding and interest in Indonesian language learning. This suggests that Wordwall, which allows convenient access to learning materials through student devices anytime and anywhere, can be an effective tool for enhancing teacher-student engagement and improving student achievement in Indonesian language education.
