Abstract

Risk management is a systematic method for managing risks that may occur so that they can be handled properly to avoid uncertainty in project activities. The risk that often occurs at the project stage during project implementation is the risk of project delays. This research aims to identify the risk of delays and determine the risk value for the ongoing project, namely the construction of the Westown View Apartments in Surabaya. The method used uses quantitative analysis with the help of a questionnaire with risk assessment using AS/NZS 4360: 2004 standards. The results of the research show that there are 21 risk variables in the construction of the Westown View Apartments in Surabaya, these variables include, (1) low labor productivity , (2) inexperienced workforce, (3) poor cooperation between workers, (4) unclear work instructions, (5) lack of materials, (6) late delivery of materials, (7) low quality materials, ( 8) limited number of work tools, (9) work tools have problems/damage, (10) tool operators lack expertise. Risk assessment using the AS/NZS 4360: 2004 standard contains 11 risk variables in the extreme risk category, 9 risk variables in the High risk category, and 1 risk variable in the medium risk category.

Abstract

Reading skill is increasingly seen as one of the most important skills because mastering reading skill, the student will be easier to understand the meaning of the text. The skill of reading a variety of texts will enable learners to adjust the speed and style of their reading to suit the purpose and extract both implicit and explicit meaning from the text. Therefore, reading skill is still one of the most important aspects to be taught in school in order to enable the learners to grasp the meaning from the reading text. Reading without comprehension or understanding is not reading, many students can pronounce words fluently but when asked what they have just read, they are unable to respond. This research was based on the students problem regarding the English teaching, especially the students reading comprehension. It was caused by the teaching activity applied in the classroom, where the teacher was more active than the students. Consequently, the students reading was low. Therefore, the objective of the research to find out whether or not the use of Think-Pair-Share technique improves the seventh students of SMP Negeri 10 Parepare. The researcher applied quasi-experimental design, with two groups pretest and posttest design. The population of this research was the seventh grade students at SMP Negeri 10 Parepare academic year 2018/2019. The sample of research was taken by using total random sampling which consisted of 64 students from two classes taken from the population of the seventh grade students of SMP Negeri 10 Parepare, VII.1 as the experimental class and VII.3 as the control class. The result of the data analysis showed that the students reading comprehension was improved, it was showed by the mean score of pretest in experimental class was 52,58 while the contol class 46,66. Besides that the mean score of posttest on experimental 72,58 while on control class 63,33. It proved the t-test 2.166 is grater than t-table 2.000 with degree of freedom (df) = (N1+N2-2) 62 for 0.05 level of significance. It showed that the reading comprehension of the seventh grade students at SMP Negeri 10 Parepare improved by using Think-Pair-Share technique.

Abstract

This study aims to determine: (1) Interaction between phosphorus and sulfur fertilizers on the growth and yield of shallots (Allium ascalonicum L.) Bima variety, (2) Dosage of phosphorus and sulfur fertilizers which have a good effect on growth and yield of shallots (Allium). ascalonicum L.) Bima variety, and (3) The relationship between growth components and yield components of shallots Bima variety. The research was carried out in a rice field area belonging to the UPTD of the Food and Agriculture Security Service in Cisantana Village, Cigugur District, Kuningan Regency, from May to July 2020. The method used in this research is an experimental method, with a randomized block design, factorial pattern, which consists of two treatment factors, namely the factor of phosphorus fertilizer and sulfur fertilizer and repeated three times. The first factor of phosphorus (P) consists of four levels of treatment, namely: p0 (0 kg P2O5/ha), p1 (36 kg P2O0/ha), p2 (54 kg P2O5/ha), and p3 (72 kg P2O5/ha). The second factor of sulfur (S) consists of three levels, namely: s1 (30 kg sulfur/ha), s2 (60 kg sulfur/ha) and s3 (90 kg sulfur/ha). The results showed that: (1) there was an interaction effect between the treatment of phosphorus and sulfur fertilizers on the weight of fresh tubers and dry bulb weight of shallots, (2) phosphorus and sulfur fertilizers independently affected plant height, number of tillers per clump, number of leaves per clumps, root volume, root shoot ratio, relative growth rate, number of tubers and tuber diameter. The dosages of phosphorus fertilizer of 54 kg P2O5/ha and 60 kg sulfur/ha gave the highest fresh tuber weight and dry tuber weight per plot. The dosages of phosphorus fertilizer 54 kg P2O5/ha and 60 kg sulfur/ha give weight of fresh tubers and dry tubers per plot of 6.53 kg and 5.24 kg, equivalent to 21.77 tons / ha and 17.47 tons/ ha, and (3) there is a significant relationship between growth components, yield components with fresh tuber weight and dry tuber weight of Bima variety onion per plot.
