Abstract

Natural science was a lesson content that equipped and prepared students to have various essential skills for life; one of them is science process skill. However, natural science learning used for investing this skill was not run maximally, proven from the process and learning outcome. This research aimed to offer a solution related to that problem by developing Problem Based Learning-based interactive multimedia and effectiveness testing of PBL-based interactive multimedia to improve the science process skill. The research approach was research and development in which the research subjects consisted of students and teachers from cluster 01, Depok Sub-district, Sleman. The first field test obtained a score of 3.2, which was included in a mediate category, while the operational field test obtained a score of 4.3, which was included in the very good category. The independent t-test obtained a significance of 0.001 <0.05, meaning that there was a significant difference between the experimental and control classes. This research was implied that the learning media and model could influence the achievement of the student. Therefore, the selection should be well considered according to the learning characteristics and students.

Abstract

Learning activities have an important role in student learning outcomes. Therefore, in learning activities, teachers must prepare quality learning. One of the efforts that can be made to improve the quality of learning is through the use of appropriate learning media. So that it can improve the process and better learning outcomes. This study uses a research and development (R&D) approach. This research was conducted at the Karangwuni Elementary School. The purpose of this research is to develop learning technology in the form of interactive multimedia based on problem based learning. The steps used in this research and development are the ADDIE development model. This research uses Macromedia Flash 8 application assistance to develop interactive multimedia based on problem based learning. The research data were obtained through the media validation sheet instrument by experts. The results of the media feasibility test based on the validation results obtained a feasibility value of 80%. Based on the results of the research that has been done, it can be concluded that interactive multimedia based on problem based learning is feasible to be applied in learning activities.

Abstract

This study aims to develop interactive multimedia based on problem-based learning and to find out its effectiveness against increasing critical thinking skills. This research uses a Research and Development approach. The research data was obtained through the media validation sheet instrument by experts and the critical thinking skills test instrument. Data analysis in this study used the independent t-test. Based on the results of the media validation test by the expert shows that the interactive multimedia that has been developed has the criteria of "Good". Then the product effectiveness test results using the independent t-test showed that interactive multimedia based on problem-based learning proved to be able to improve critical thinking skills in students. The results of this discovery have implications in learning, namely to improve critical thinking skills in students, it can be done by using interactive multimedia based on problem-based learning.

Abstract

This study aimed to reveal students' needs for Augmented Reality-based picture story modules to improve reading literacy and social awareness. The subjects of this study were 30 fifth-grade students from SD S Muhammadiyah Sungailiat. Data collection techniques included interviews, observations, questionnaires, and documentation. Qualitative research data were analyzed through three stages: data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. Quantitative data from the needs questionnaire were analyzed using a percentage formula to determine the level of students' needs for AR-based picture story modules. Furthermore, to maintain data validity, this study used source and technical triangulation techniques. The results of this study indicate that the need for AR-based picture story modules is high. The percentage range of needs for Augmented Reality-based picture story modules is at 73.33% - 87.50%. These findings are seen in each indicator, namely the reading interest indicator and picture stories, which obtained a percentage of 86.67%. This percentage indicates the category of "very needed." The indicator of difficulties and weaknesses in current learning obtained a percentage of 73.33%. This percentage is in the category of "needed." The indicator of the need for a new learning module obtained a percentage of 83.61%. This result is classified as the category of "very needed." The indicator of student acceptance and interest in AR obtained a percentage of 87.50%. This indicator category is "very needed." This is an indicator of the need for module features. The results of the analysis of this indicator showed a percentage of 85.67%. This indicator is in the category of "very needed." Based on these findings, it can be concluded that students need an AR-based picture story module that can make learning activities more interactive, interesting, and meaningful. AR-based modules can be designed to improve reading literacy and social awareness of students. This research serves as the basis for the development of an Augmented Reality-based picture story module in the next research stage.

Abstract

Abstract Science education in elementary schools requires teaching materials that not only contain concepts but also connect the material to the real environment of the students. This study aims to develop a science e-module based on the local potential of Bantimurung National Park's natural attractions as teaching materials to support science learning in line with the Merdeka Curriculum. The study used the Research and Development (R&D) method with a 4-D development model, which includes the define, design, develop, and disseminate stages, with limitations on limited trials. The research subjects involved subject matter experts, media experts, classroom teachers, and 15 fifth-grade elementary school students. Data were collected through interviews and questionnaires, then analyzed descriptively by converting the scores into qualitative categories. The results showed that the developed science e-module received a very feasible rating from subject matter experts and media experts, and was considered practical and easy to understand by teachers and students. The integration of local potential in conservation areas makes science learning more contextual and relevant to the learning experiences of students. Therefore, the science e-module based on the local potential of Bantimurung National Park is suitable for use as teaching material to support science learning in elementary schools. Keywords: Science e-module, local potential, Merdeka Curriculum, science learning, elementary school
