Abstract

This research discussed an Analysis of Teachers’ Strategies in Teaching English in Blended Learning Situation at Eleventh Grade Students of SMAN 4 Palu. The research question of this research are: (1) what strategy do teachers use in teaching English in a blended learning situation to eleventh-grade students of SMAN 4 Palu? (2) how is the implementation of the strategies in teaching English in blended learning situations to eleventh-grade students of SMAN 4 Palu?. In this research, the researcher used qualitative descriptive research, with case study research type. Technique of data collection through (1) observation, (2) interview, (3) questionnaire, and (4) documentation. Technique of data analysis are data collection, data reduction, data display, and conclusion. Checking data validity was conducted with (1) credibility, (2) transferability, (3) dependability, and (4) confirmability (Objectivity). The results of this research showed that the strategy that teachers use in teaching English in blended learning situations in class XI is vocabulary building, cooperative learning, and students chosen text. Based on the results of the questionnaire given to students, by using the Likert scale technique, about 77% category agree or good. It means the students’ response to the teacher in teaching English in blended learning situation at eleventh grade students of SMAN 4 Palu is good and able to help students in learning English. Students like the way of teaching of the English teachers.

Abstract

This study aims to investigate the impact of implementing digital-based projects in improving students' public speaking skills as da'wah content creators. A digital-based project approach was adopted to explore students' potential in public speaking with creativity and effectiveness in the context of delivering da'wah messages. Mixed methods were used to combine qualitative and quantitative data, through participatory action research (PAR) Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menginvestigasi dampak dari implementasi proyek berbasis digital dalam meningkatkan kemampuan public speaking mahasiswa sebagai konten kreator dakwah. Pendekatan proyek berbasis digital diadopsi untuk menggali potensi mahasiswa dalam berbicara di depan umum dengan kreativitas dan efektivitas dalam konteks penyampaian pesan dakwah. Metode campuran digunakan untuk menggabungkan data kualitatif dan kuantitatif, melalui Participatory Action research (PAR)

Abstract

The problem focus of this research is to improve students reading comprehension by using Know-Want-Learned (KWL), to make the students comprehend the text, And how the students make their own conclusion about the text. The object of this research was the eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 14 Palu that were divided into two group that was controlled group and experimental group. The aim was to know their improvement after the treatment of KnowWant-Learned (KWL) technique. This research was quantitative research, and the procedure of collected the data were observation, interview, Pre test, treatment, and Post Test. The data analysis used statistical analysis that was descriptive analysis. Statistical analysis is used to test the hypothesis. And the formula used to test the hypothesis was t-test with the level of significance 0,05. The result showed that the application of Know-Want-Learned (KWL) strategy was successful in improving students’ reading comprehension. It can be proven with the result oftest of significance (t-test) was 0,2496. It means the result of t-test is more than level of significance (0,05). Based on the conclusion above, suggested to the teacher especially English teacher is to use Know-Want-Learned (KWL) strategy or find out the other method to make thestudents interest to the material.
