Abstract

The monitoring system in nutrient solution is something that must be considered in the process of hydroponic cultivation, because it is from this nutrient solution that ensures the result and quality of the hydroponic plant itself. Important variables such as acidity, temperature and concentration of nutrient solution are the values that determine whether or not the nutrient solution will be given to the hydroponic plant. Important variables in improper nutrient solutions will make the hydroponic cultivation process for crop failure. This research uses a PH sensor that serves to detect the acidity level of the nutrient solution and the DHT11 temperature sensor which functions to read the condition of the nutrient solution temperature and the TDS sensor detects the concentration of the nutrient solution. The microcontroller used is the type of Atmega328 which is used as a processing of all inputs and outputs. This monitoring system is connected to the internet so that all sensor reading values can be viewed through an Android phone and can be accessed via the Web, so that the monitoring process can be done remotely. From the test results obtained prove that this system has been successfully integrated and is able to work well according to the desired target, which can monitor the acidity and temperature conditions in hydroponic plants that can be accessed directly through mobile phones and has been integrated with the internet network. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merancang Sistem Pendukung Keputusan dengan Linear Programming mengunakan Simplex. Tahapan dalam penelitian ini mengikuti metode Rapid Application Development yang terdiri dari Requirements Planning, User design, Contruction dan Cutover. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah sebuah sistem pendukung keputusan berbasis web dengan media penyimpanan MariaDb sehingga sistem bersifat dinamis dan dapat menyelesaikan berbagai kasus optimasi dengan Linear Programming. Berdasarkan studi kasus yang dilakukan dalam optimasi media promosi untuk penerimaan mahasiswa baru kampus Institut Teknologi dan Bisnis Indonesia tahun ajaran 2023/2024, maka didapatkan hasil optimal jumlah mahasiswa kelas reguler X1 = 60 (dua kelas) dan mahasiswa kelas karyawan X2 = 146,67 (lima kelas) dengan total biaya operasional uang kuliah sebagai fungsi tujuan (Z) sebesar 1.387 juta

Abstract

In the era of the Internet of Things (IoT), energy efficiency has become one of the primary research focuses. This study explores five Scopus-indexed papers in the Q1 and Q2 categories, published between 2022 and 2024. The selected papers discuss various strategies to enhance energy efficiency in the IoT context. This review provides a comprehensive overview of the latest efforts in delivering energy-efficient solutions to support the growth and sustainability of IoT. Resource optimization, both in wireless communication infrastructure and data management, is a crucial step in fostering an environmentally friendly IoT ecosystem. Through innovative approaches and intelligent resource optimization, IoT has significant potential to become more energy-efficient and contribute to global environmental sustainability goals. Abstract

This research aims to develop a system that facilitates monitoring activities of students undergoing internships, with a case study on student internship activities at the Indonesian Institute of Technology and Business (ITB Indonesia). The system development method used is Rapid Application Development (RAD), with four structured and interdependent stages in each phase, namely Requirements planning, User Design, Construction, and Cutover. The outcome of this research is a web-based system with a responsive interface across all devices (smartphones, tablets, and laptops). The system includes features for student location-based attendance, student activity reporting at internship sites, student guidance processes with supervising mentors, as well as monitoring the guidance process of students and supervising mentors conducted by the head of the study program.

Abstract

A neat and easily monitored-mails administration is an urgent needs of every agency, including UPT. Taman Budaya in Dinas Kebudayaan dan Pariwisata Provinsi Sumatera Utara. Manually archieved-mails generated problems; such as slow disposition, difficulties in tracing the mails, as well as taking a long time to find certain mails required. The proposed application aims to solve those limitations of manual system applied. The Bootstrap CSS Framework is chosen to be applied for its open source and ability to create an easily displayed web in all of gadgets specifications, whereas the methodology used to develop the web system is Web Development Life Cycle (WDLC). This methodology has five stages which are (1)Planning, (2 )Analysis, (3) Design and Development, (4) Testing, and (5) Implementation and Maintainance. The output of this research is an applicable web system that manage mails administration; including disposition, archieving, and monitoring.

Abstract

Cafe business that provides food and beverage menus is a fast growing business today. 99's Coffee located in Tanjung Pura is a cafe that wants to further optimize service to consumers by simplifying the process of ordering food and drinks. The purpose of this research is to design an ordering system to make it easier for customers to order menus and business owners to manage orders. The method used in designing this system is Rapid Application Development (RAD). The stages in the RAD consist of Requirements planning, Design Workshop and Implementation. The system was built using the PHP programming language with the Codeigniter Framework, the system display uses the Bootstrap CSS Framework and data storage uses MariaDB. The result of this research is a system that allows customers to order food and beverage menus by simply scanning the Quick Response (QR) Code that has been provided at each customer's table.

Abstract

Game arcade mengandalkan ketangkasan tangan pemain dalam melakukan kontrol karakter didalam game. Game arcade merupakan jenis game yang memiliki konsep desain sederhana serta memiliki tingkat kesulitan yang meningkat setiap levelnya. Dalam penelitian ini, dirancang game arcade menggunakan Visual Basic.Net dan database MariaDB sebagai media penyimpanan data. Game ini bercerita tentang petualangan dalam labirin untuk mendapatkan Huruf tertentu pada setiap levelnya. Tahapan dalam perancangan game ini yaitu, analisis kebutuhan, perancangan Data Flow Diagram (DFD) level konteks dan level nol, perancangan database dalam MariaDB, pembuatan flowchart, desain game, pengkodean kedalam bahasa pemrograman Visual Basic.Net dan melakukan pengujian game dengan metode Blackbox. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah sebuah game Arcade berbasis Windows dan terintegrasi dengan database. Game ini dapat digunakan untuk melatih refleks pemain, melatih otak motorik dan meningkatkan daya pikir pemain, sehingga pemain terbiasa berpikir cepat dan benar dalam mengambil keputusan.

Abstract

This study compares the Simple Additive Weighting (SAW) and Technique for Order Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution (TOPSIS) methods for determining the best teacher at SMK Swasta PABAKU Stabat. Teacher data was collected from 19 individuals via observation, interviews, and literature review. The web-based decision support system built successfully integrated SAW and TOPSIS to select the top teacher. SAW produced rankings more aligned with manual rankings, boasting 53% accuracy, while TOPSIS yielded 32% accuracy. Additionally, SAW averaged a faster 0.10672 second execution time, contrasted to TOPSIS requiring 0.57004 seconds. Overall, this research offers meaningful insight into the effectiveness and efficiency of applying SAW and TOPSIS for best teacher selection. Abstract

The Development of information technology has had a significant impact on health services, especially through the use of mobile-based health applications. Mobile applications offer easy access to information, improve communication between patients and medical personnel, and monitor health conditions in  real-time. This research aims to develop a mobile-based health monitoring application that can support health programs managed by the Binjai City Health Service. This application is designed to be able to monitor people’s health conditions periodically, remind people to carry out health checks, snd provide relevant health information. The waterfallmethod was chosen in developing this application because of its orderly structure, as well as the ease of access provided by the mobile platform. The application being developed is expected to be integrated with medical devices suchas heart monitors, body temperature and blood pressure sensors, to support the collection and analysis of real-time public health data. It is hoped that the results of this research will be an innovative solution for the Binjai City Health Service in improving public health services through mobile technology. Abstract

This study aims to develop a student grade conversion information system for off-campus learning programs at ITB Indonesia. The system integrates with the Academic Information System (SIAKAD) to automate and synchronize grade conversion from off-campus activities. It was developed using the Rapid Application Development (RAD) method, which prioritizes speed and user involvement. The grade conversion process is based on seven assessment components used during off-campus learning activities: activity planning (perencanaan kegiatan), implementation and outcomes (pelaksanaan dan hasil kegiatan), activity reporting (pelaporan kegiatan), personality and social aspects (aspek kepribadian dan sosial), student self-assessment (penilaian diri mahasiswa), peer assessment (penilaian sejawat), and assessment by field supervisors, local authorities, or receiving lecturers at partner institutions (penilaian dari guru pamong, supervisor, aparat desa, atau dosen penerima di perguruan tinggi tujuan). These components are processed and mapped into final scores grouped under academic and non-academic courses, taking into account their relevance to the Program Learning Outcomes (CPL) and Course Learning Outcomes (CPMK). The system provides a real-time dashboard for both students and academic supervisors to monitor the status of grade submission, conversion processes, and final results in a transparent and structured manner.
