Abstract

The problem with fresh milk on the SPR farm is the manual milking process, which causes the milk to be less hygienic and becomes an ideal growing medium for microbes. Therefore, it is necessary to carry out a procedure for checking the microbiological status as an indicator of food safety. To test for microbial contamination in fresh milk, namely the Total Plate Count (TPC) test, but in this study the focus is on the calculation of bacterial colonies using digital image processing techniques. The stages of the research carried out are the preprocessing process (cropping and color conversion to YCbCr space), image enhancement (addition of brightness and inverse image), the segmentation combination process (gray degree and channel area thresholding) and colony calculation using labeling based on the proximity of 8 neighbors to the feature area. From the results of the study, it was found that bacterial colonies had a wide area range of 150 ≤ area ≤ 8000. A comparison of manual TPC calculations with the system has been carried out on 5 test samples and obtained an average error difference of 0.176.Keywords : channel area thresholding, bacterial colonies, fresh milk, TPC, YCbCr

Abstract

Telur dapat ditingkatkan nilai gizinya dengan menjadikannya telur omega-3 yang kaya gizi dan baik dikonsumsi oleh segala rentang usia. Dinas Pemberdayaan Perempuan, Perlindungan Anak, Pengendalian Penduduk dan Keluarga Berencana atau disingkat DP3KB mempunyai tugas salah satunya adalah pemberdayaan perempuan dan keluarga berencana. Tujuan pengabdian masyarakat ini memberi pelatihan pembuatan pakan layer telur omega-3 sebagai upaya peningkatan asupan gizi keluarga dan pendapatan usaha di Kabupaten Jember. Kegiatan pengabdian ini dilaksanakan melalui 5 tahapan, yakni persiapan dan koordinasi, sosialisasi, pelatihan pembuatan pakan layer, pendampingan, dan evaluasi. Pada pelatihan ini pembuatan pakan layer dilakukan dengan menambahkan minyak ikan sebagai salah satu sumber omega-3 pada pakan ayam layer. Hasil pengabdian menunjukkan antusiasme peserta pelatihan mengikuti kegiatan pelatihan hingga selesai dan berhasil membuat pelet pakan layer telur omega-3 dengan benar. Hasil pengabdian ini akan dibagikan kepada kelompok binaan peternak perempuan untuk meningkatkan nilai jual telur dan sebagai pemenuh asupan gizi keluarga.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the relationship between pelvic circumference and Body Condition Score (BCS) to litter size of sheep at PT. Sedana Peternak Sentosa, Jombang, East Java, on August 18 - November 20, 2024. The research method used 35 female sheep aged 1.5-2 years with healthy criteria and had given birth, with a purposive sampling technique. Data analysis used the Spearman rank correlation test on SPSS version 25. The results showed an average pelvic circumference of 99.09 cm, BCS 4.51, and litter size 1.60. Statistical analysis revealed no significant relationship between pelvic circumference and BCS to litter size (very weak correlation, p>0.05). The low determination value (R² 4.2–4.9%) indicated the dominance of other factors such as genetics, environment, stud quality, and increased parity. This finding is thought to be related to the relatively young age of the sheep (1.5–2 years) with limited birth experience.
