Abstract

Secara umum ayam petelur asli Indonesia berasal dari hutan liar yang dipelihara untuk diambil kebutuhan telurnya. Ayam petelur merupakan ternak yang dikhususkan untuk menghasilkan telur konsumsi. Performa produksi telur dapat berproduksi secara maksimal dengan memperhatikan aspek- aspek pokok dan menerapkannya dengan baik. Aspek yang perlu diperhatikan yaitu manajemen pemeliharaan yang baik, sistem perkandangan yang baik, manajemen pakan dan nutrisi yang mencukupi, manajemen air dan program kesehatan. Tujuan dari pengamatan ini adalah Mengevaluasi performa produksi ayam petelur pada kandang closed house di UD. Supermama Farm Banyuwangi. Pelaksanaan pengamatan dilakukan selama 2 bulan mulai tanggal 1 oktober 2022 sampai dengan 30 November 2022. Lokasi pengamatan dilaksanakan di peternakan ayam petelur sistem kandang closed house UD. Supermama Farm Banyuwangi di Dusun Mojoroto Desa Tegalsari Kecamatan Tegalsari RT 04 RW 02 Kabupaten Banyuwangi. Alat yang digunakan yaitu kandang closed house, recording, tempat pakan, tempat air minum, tandong, gerobak dorong untuk mengangkut telur, pakan, timbangan, dan alat tulis. Bahan yang digunakan adalah ayam petelur fase layer strain Lohman Brown berumur 24 minggu sampai dengan 30 minggu sebanyak 2311 ekor dari total populasi kandang satu sebanyak 4.000 ekor dan total populasi keseluruhan 62.000 ekor. Hasil dari pengamatan yang dilakukan yaitu rata-rata konsumsi pakan yaitu sebesar 117,0 gram/butir. Hen Day Production yaitu sebesar 90,06%. Egg Weight yaitu 58,75 gram/butir. Feed Egg Ratio (FER) sebesar 2,2. Mortalitas atau tingkat kematian rata-rata sebesar 0,6%. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa manajemen pemeliharaan sudah tergolong baik dan penggunaan kandang closed house dapat meningkatkan tingkat performa dengan menjaga manajemen dan memperhatikan faktor-faktor pemeliharaan dengan baik.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the factors that influence the strategy and development of the use of organic fertilizers in Banyuwangi Regency to make the land healthier. This research was conducted in April-June 2021 in Banyuwangi Regency. The population in this study came from 5 farmer groups in Banyuwangi Regency, amounting to 350 people. The data used in the form of primary and secondary data. Primary data was obtained from the distribution of questionnaires, while the secondary data sources were obtained from the Agriculture and Food Service of Banyuwangi Regency The data obtained were analyzed using AHP (Analytical Hierarchy Process) and CSI (Customer Satisfaction Index). The results of this study indicate that 1) The priority of the strategy for developing organic fertilizer in the Banyuwangi Regency is the role of the government in supporting all activities related to organic fertilizer. 2) Farmers are satisfied with the current performance of the Banyuwangi Regency Agriculture and Food Service with a satisfaction value of 80.79%.

Abstract

The Aims of this research are to; 1) know the supply chain of fat-tailed sheep with institutions involved in marketing in Gumukmas District, Jember Regency. 2) find out the difference in the price of fat tail sheep in Gumukmas District, Jember Regency. This research was conducted in May-August 2021 in Gumukmas District, Jember Regency. The data obtained were analyzed descriptively by calculating the formula for marketing margin, margin percentage, and marketing efficiency. The results showed that the most efficient supply chain during the Eid al-Adha period in Gumukmas District, Jember Regency, male and female sheep tails were pattern I in terms of farmer price share, males 95.24% and females 92.29%. The efficiency of the supply chain after Eid al-Adha male fat-tailed sheep is a pattern I with a farmer price share of 88.00% and a female in pattern III with a farmer price share of 90.17%.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to determine the effect of the interaction between the type and dose of inoculum in fermentation to improve the quality of soy milk waste (SMW) for animal feed. This study used a completely randomized 2 x 5 factorial design. The first factor was the type of inoculum (Saccharomyces cerevisae and Rhizopus sp.) and the second factor was the inoculum dose (0, 5, 10, 15 and 20%). Each treatment was repeated 4 times. The results of statistical analysis showed that the type factor, dosage factor of the inoculum, and the interaction between the two factors had a very significant (p<0.01) effect on the quality of color, aroma, sugar concentration and alcohol concentration of SMW. In this study, the color score from SMW was found to be between 3.00-5.00; texture scores range from 1.00 to 4.50; moisture 13.23-15.03%; sugar concentration is 0.00-5.63%, and alcohol concentration ranges from 0.00-1.43%. This research can be concluded that the interaction between the type and dose of inoculum in fermentation can improve the quality of soy milk waste (SMW). The best quality was obtained when using Saccharomyces cerevisae inoculum at a dose of 15%.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk mengetahui strategi pengembangan peternakan sapi perah UD. Saputra Jaya menggunakan metode Business Model Canvas. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah observasi dan wawancara. Analisis data menggunakan metode deskriptif eksploratif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Penentuan lokasi didasarkan pada metode purposive. Jumlah informan sebanyak 5 orang yang berwenang di UD. Saputra Jaya. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa strategi pengembangan peternakan sapi perah UD. Saputra Jaya dari Sembilan komponen BMC yaitu : 1) Key Partner, penambahan kemitraan dengan peternak Kecamatan Brangkal. 2) Key Activities yaitu pembuatan pupuk kompos dari limbah feses sapi. 3) Value Proposition yaitu memberi edukasi kepada peternak yang mempengaruhi kualitas. 4) Customer Relationship, penambahan SDM berkualitas di bidang IT sebagai pengelola aplikasi promosi. 5) Customer Segment tidak terdapat penambahan. 6) Key Resource pembuatan pabrik pakan baru. 7) Elemen Channels yaitu melalui akun sosial media Instagram dan facebook. 8) Cost Structure yaitu biaya pembangunan untuk pembangunan pabrik pakan baru. 9) Revenue Streams yaitu pengolahan pupuk kompos dan pembuatan pabrik pakan baru.

Abstract

This study aimed to analyze the efficiency of beef cattle supply chain management in Jember Regency during and after the Eid al-Adha period, and to evaluate the role of digital marketing in improving distribution. The research was conducted in July 2024 using a survey method with purposive sampling for selecting farmers and snowball sampling for marketing institutions. The results showed three marketing patterns: Pattern I (Producers directly to consumers using the “SAPI SIP” digital platform), Pattern II (Producers – Wholesalers – Agents outside the city/province), and Pattern III (Producers – Wholesalers – Religious institutions – Consumers). The most efficient marketing pattern during the Eid al-Adha period was Pattern I, with the highest farmer price share: 95.24% for male cattle and 94.29% for female cattle. This was due to the direct-to-consumer approach via digital marketing, which reduced intermediaries and transaction costs. After Eid al-Adha, Pattern I remained the most efficient for male cattle (88.00%), while Pattern III showed slightly higher efficiency for female cattle (90.17%) due to strong institutional buyer networks. These findings indicate that digital marketing can significantly improve supply chain efficiency and enhance farmer welfare, especially during seasonal demand surges.

Abstract

PR. Yasin Jaya Abadi is a small-medium enterprise (SME) engaged in the production of kretek (clove) cigarettes in Jember Regency. Despite operating since 2021 with its flagship product “Semar Manthoel,” the company continues to face marketing challenges, relying solely on traditional methods such as word-of-mouth and limited social media use. This highlights a significant research gap regarding the effectiveness of marketing strategies among local kretek brands. This study aims to: (1) analyze internal and external factors influencing the company’s marketing performance, (2) formulate alternative marketing strategies, and (3) identify the most suitable priority strategy. Using IFE, EFE, SWOT, IE, and QSPM matrix analyses, the findings reveal that the most effective strategy is to enhance product characteristics and leverage a strategic location to reach a wider market, with the highest total attractiveness score (TAS = 7.625). This strategy significantly contributes to increasing market share and strengthening competitive positioning. The results offer valuable insights for SMEs in the tobacco sector seeking to improve marketing effectiveness and sustainability in a highly competitive industry.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the relationship between pelvic circumference and Body Condition Score (BCS) to litter size of sheep at PT. Sedana Peternak Sentosa, Jombang, East Java, on August 18 - November 20, 2024. The research method used 35 female sheep aged 1.5-2 years with healthy criteria and had given birth, with a purposive sampling technique. Data analysis used the Spearman rank correlation test on SPSS version 25. The results showed an average pelvic circumference of 99.09 cm, BCS 4.51, and litter size 1.60. Statistical analysis revealed no significant relationship between pelvic circumference and BCS to litter size (very weak correlation, p>0.05). The low determination value (R² 4.2–4.9%) indicated the dominance of other factors such as genetics, environment, stud quality, and increased parity. This finding is thought to be related to the relatively young age of the sheep (1.5–2 years) with limited birth experience.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui sifat-sifat kuantitatif domba Sapudi jantan yearling di UPT Pembibitan Ternak dan Hijauan Makanan Ternak Jember. Pengukuran ini dilaksanakan di UPT Pembibitan Ternak dan Hijauan Makanan Ternak Jember di desa Sidomulyo, kecamtan Silo, kabupaten Jember, Jawa Timur, yang dilaksanakan pada pertengahan bulan September 2020 sampai dengan awal bulan Oktober 2020. Pengukuran langsung pada permukaan tubuh domba diantaranya melalui pengukuran tinggi pundak, panjang badan, lingkar dada, lingkar skrotum dan penimbangan bobot badan sebagai sifat kuantitatif dapat memberikan gambaran eksterior pada domba Sapudi maupun digunakan sebagai seleksi. Berdasarkan hasil pengukuran tinggi pundak, panjang badan, lingkar dada, lingkar skrotum dan penimbangan bobot badan yang dilakukan di UPT Pembibitan Ternak dan Hijauan Makanan Ternak Jember rata-rata tinggi pundak pada umur 12-18 bulan sebesar 60,56 cm, rata-rata panjang badan domba umur 12-18 bulan sebesar 58,20 cm, rata-rata lingkar dada pada domba umur 12-18 bulan sebesar 68,23 cm rata-rata lingkar skrotum domba umur 12-18 bulan sebesar 23,16 cm dan rata-rata bobot badan domba pada umur 12-18 bulan sebesar 27,58 kg, disimpulkan bahwa sifat-sifat kuantitatif (tinggi pundak, panjang badan, lingkar dada, lingkar skrotum dan bobot badan) domba Sapudi jantan sudah sesuai dengan Standar Nasional Indonesia 7532-2 (2018) dari data hasil analisis dapat dikatakan bahwa domba Sapudi dalam kisaran umur 12-18 bulan seragam.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of adding edamame on the sensory properties (level of sweetness and aroma of edamame) cow's and goat's milk yogurt. The experiment was carried out using a completely randomized design (CRD) with 5 treatments and 3 replications consisting of, P0 = without the addition of 0% edamame, P1 = the addition of 5% edamame, P2 = the addition of 10% edamame, P3 = the addition of 15% edamame, P4 = 20% edamame addition. The data were analyzed using Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) and continued with Duncan's Multiple Range Test (DMRT) with a level of 5%. The results showed that the addition of edamame to cow's and goat's milk yogurt showed significant differences (P<0.05) on the aroma of edamame and the level of sweetness in yogurt. The addition of 5% edamame to cow's and goat's milk yogurt was the lowest average of 2.05-2.01 with the criteria of not smelling of edamame, while the highest average was the addition of 20% edamame, namely 3.35 and 3.36 with the criteria somewhat smell of edamame. The lowest average sweetness level for cow's and goat's milk yogurt with the addition of 5% edamame was 2.18 and 1.75 with criteria not very sweet and not sweet, while the highest average with the addition of 20% edamame was 3.15 and 3.08 with a rather sweet criteria.
