Abstract

The development of inclusive education provider school must also be supported by the provision of good and optimal education facilities. In this study an evaluation was conducted on senior high school (SMA) located in three (3) sub-district areas in Bekasi City, namely Kecamatan Medan Satria, Kecamatan Jatiasih , and Kecamatan Bekasi Utara. These three areas were selected based on the percentage of the availability of the highest educational facilities in Bekasi. The Determination of location was chosen based on consideration through the site of school capacity variables based on the quantitative method. The results showed school characteristics can be seen as quality of the capacity for each school. In this study, it can be seen that schools can accommodate 1-7 study groups on average, the proportion of facilities and infrastructure for children with special needs reaches 55.5%. The research showed that the calculation of school's capacity resulted in 20% of total number of schools in suitable criteria, 27% of schools that were in moderately suitable criteria, 50% were in less suitable criteria, and only 3% of schools were in marginally suitable criteria

Abstract

Upper Ci Leungsi catchment area is one of the catchments that has an important role in contributing water runoff to downstream areas i.e. Bekasi City. High population growth has led to significant changes in land use that impact in potentially increased surface runoff causing flooding. This study aims to estimate the flood discharge that will occur in relation to land cover change prediction in 2020, 2025, and 2030. The SCS-CN method is used for calculation of runoff volume and synthetic unit hydrograph using HEC-HMS. The CN value obtained on the existing data i.e. 72.5; 74.4; and 75.4 in 2005, 2010, and 2014 respectively, whereas the predicted CN values in 2020, 2025 and 2030 increased by 77.2; 78.4; and 79.4 respectively. This study concludes that the prediction of flood discharge in 2020, 2025, and 2030 has increased, from 2020 to 2025 by 28.4%, and from 2025 to 2030 by 26.8%. For a 25-year re-period with 197mm design rainfall resulted in flood discharge of 624.6, 653.0, and 679.8 m3 / dt in 2020, 2025, and 2030 respectively. This study is highly useful for urban development planning, particularly in anticipating the damages due to floods in future.

Abstract

In urban areas where there are many centers of government, trade, education, and other activity, telecommunication device is widely used on publication, transactions or services, administration and promotion, while the internet needs of individuals are commonly used for communication, socialization, seeking information and entertainment. At this time, online games are not only played by using a personal computer but also the presence of a smartphone with its advanced technology that can be connected with the internet network is one of device for online gaming. Mobile gaming requires good latency to run smoothly and comfortably. The need for the telecommunications system uses frequency waves for signal propagation. However, signal propagation can be interrupted due to many factors that affect, for example, distance from BTS (Base Transceiver Station), building density, and terrain shape. This study investigated the relationship between signal quality, internet speed, and latency to the distance from BTS, building density, and shape of the terrain. The results showed that signal quality, internet speed, and good latency were found in areas where near BTS and had a low level of building density.

Abstract

The rate of population growth in Sukabumi Regency continues to grow, along with the increasing need for food. This population growth, combined with the constant changes in land cover can reduce the productivity of environment in providing natural capital for food availability. Therefore, this study aimed to examine the condition of ecosystem service provision for a decade in Sukabumi Regency due to changes in land cover. In general, the efficient use of remote sensing method and geographic information systems to monitor ecosystem services had received widespread recognition. Following this scenario, the current study used geospatial analysis with dasymetric method which was integrated with supply and demand formulas for ecosystem services provision, food availability, and remote sensing. Geographic information system was also used for land cover interpretation data. The results showed that three districts in Sukabumi Regency, namely Cicurug, Cibadak, and Cicantayan, had “exceeded” condition when the environmental condition already passed the threshold or were unable to support population's needs. Meanwhile, the other districts have “not exceeded” condition, when the environmental conditions were still able to fulfill the needs of population. Finally, the changes in agricultural land cover had a significant influence on the condition of ecosystem services.

Abstract

Agricultural drought occurs in various irrigation areas in Indonesia, one of which is the Jatiluhur Reservoir’s irrigation area. Agricultural drought in this area occurs due to several factors, including the natural phenomenon of climate anomalies which causes the length of the dry season, and also due to less optimal irrigation networks, damaged networks and other obstacles. But, not all agricultural land in the irrigated area experiences drought. Agricultural land affected by drought is important to know its spatial and temporal distribution to determine priority locations in drought disaster management, especially on agricultural land. Therefore, this study aims to examine the spatial pattern of agricultural drought in the irrigation area of the Jatiluhur Reservoir from 2000–2020. The index used in this study is the Normalized Difference Drought Index (NDDI). MODIS image version MOD13Q1 is used by dividing the dryness class into three classifications, namely dry (>0.5), rather dry (0-0.5), and normal (<0.5). The results showed that the most extensive drought in rice paddy fields occurred in 2015 with a dry index of 8574.19 Hectares. Meanwhile, agricultural drought in this area occurs on average from June to September, especially in the Jayalaksana Village and Setialaksana Village, Bungin Sub-District, Bekasi Regency. These two villages are affected by agricultural drought every single year. The spatial pattern of agricultural drought shows that it follows the pattern of the irrigation network. It is necessary to investigate the correlation between agricultural drought and irrigation network in the next research.
