PROFIT ANALYSIS OF PIG FARMING IN WEST TOMOHON DISTRICT TOMOHON CITY. (Case Study On Mr. Okny Mende's Business. The goal of this study was to investigate profitÂ of pig farmingÂ in West TomohonÂ District Survey method was performed on Mr Okny Mendeâ€™s farmingÂ in Tara Tara 2 Village West Tomohon District bycase study. The pig farmersâ€™ challenge in the production process was the high cost of production. The increase of cost Â production without profit tend to be problem for farmers because input material (production costs) was very important factors in the livestock business. The Pig farming business has the potential for development in the City of Tomohon due to investment in this business does not require large costs and land, besides that the return on capital is relatively faster and although the development of pig agribusiness is limited due to socio-cultural factors, but in North Sulawesi especially Tomohon City has good prospects because of high demand of local market and the surrounding area, and there are no socio-cultural constraints. The pig farm business located in Taratara Dua Sub-District, West Tomohon District is owned by Mr. Okny Mende's family, which is a nursery business by selling weaned piglets. Results of this study Â shown that the average total cost incurred per period of productionÂ as much as IDRÂ 38.334.531. While revenue per period of production was IDR. 68.400.000. The profit per production period was IDR. 30.065.469.

THE ROLE OF EXTENSION TO THE ADOPTION OF FARMERS INNOVATION IN THE DEVELOPMENT OF WEST TOMOHON DISTRICT TOMOHON CITY. Study was conducted on December 2019 to evaluate the role extension in the adoption of smallholder innovation in development of native chicken at West Tomohon District. This research was a survey using questionnaires. Samples were determind by purposive sampling method involving 30 smallholder of local native chicken. Chi square method was used to analyze the data. The role of extension was meansured by ordinal scale for questions given to breeders and the adoption of innovationÂ was measured by ordinal scale of the levelÂ Â of knowledge, attitudes and skills of native chicken farmers. Knowledge was divided into several categories, namely high, medium and low knowledge, the attitude of the category accepts innovation, it is enough to accept innovation and reject innovation, the skill of the category was skilled, sufficiently skilled and unskilled. The results of the study used Chi-Square analysis showed that the role of extension workers had a significant relationship with the attitudes of native chicken farmers while on the other hand the role of extension workers did not not have a significant relationship with the knowledge and skills of native chicken farmers.

THE EXTENSION EFFECT ONÂ PIG FARMERS IN KAWANGKOAN DISTRICT. This research was conducted in Kawangkoan District in March 2020. This study aimed to determine the effect of extension on pig farmers in Kawangkoan District. This research was conducted by a survey method using a questionnaire. Sample was determined by Purposive toward 40 pig farmers. Analysis of the data used in this study was the Chi-Square analysis. The variable of extension, knowledge, attitudes and skills of pig farmers was measured using an ordinal scale. Then by scoring respondents' answers or statements given, several categories of the three variables were obtained. The categorical knowledge variable was increased knowledge, quite increasing and not increasing. The results of the study using Chi-Square Analysis showed that counseling had an influence on the knowledge, attitudes and skills of pig farmers.

ABSTRACTPARTICIPATION OF CATTLE FARMERS IN COUNSELING AT TONDEGESAN SATU VILLAGE KAWANGKOAN DISTRICT MINAHASA REGENCY.The participation of cattle farmers are very important in counseling activity because it can help the breeder to get the important informations about development of farms cow. The purpose of this study was to determine information about villages in Tondegesan Satu Village, Kawangkoan District, Minahasa Regency. This research was run by Miles and Huberman analysis using survey methods. espondents were selected using purposive to breeders methods that once had activities in Tondegesan Satu Village Kawangkoan District, Minahasa District amount 30 respondents and data collection was done by direct interviews with cattle farmers by the help of questionnaires. The results of this study is indicate that the participation in planning, participation in activity and participation in the utilization of results is great.Keywords : Participation, Counseling, CowFarmers

THE ROLE OF FAMILY MEMBERS INÂ CATTLE RAISING IN MAKALONSOUW VILLAGE EAST TONDANO DISTRICT This study aims to find out the role of family members in the business of keeping beef cattle, as well as the role of family members to access information, institutional aspects of control aspects, aspects of decision making, and aspects of benefits. This research was conducted in Makalonsow Subdistrict, East Tondano in September - October 2019. Types of survey research using qualitative methods. Data collection through interviews using a coesioner to family members of breeders. The selection of sample respondents was determined deliberately purposive, and variable measurement was carried out using the Guttman Scale measuring instrument, the measurement is scored on each answer. The results showed the role of the family to access information from counseling activities, namely the role of husband 100%, the role of wife 0%, access institutions in counseling in the Village Makalonsow Tondano Timur, the role of husband 100%, wife 0%, aspects of control in the maintenance of beef cattle, namely in the activities of cleaning cages, husband 100%, bathing activities of cattle, husband 96.67% children 3.33%, activities of feeding and drinking to beef cattle, husband 60% wife 26.67% and children 13.33% , aspects of farmer decision making in seed purchasing activities, husband 100%, livestock sales, husband 93.33% wife 6.67%, husband's livestock purchase 100%. Based on the results of the study, showed the head of the family played an important role in the business of keeping beef cattle in Makalonsow Village, East Tondano District.

THE EXTENSION EFFECT ON THE INCOME OF PIG FARMERS IN KIAWA DUA TIMUR VILLAGE, KAWANGKOAN UTARA SUB-DISTRICT. The research was conducted in Kiawa Dua Timur village, Kawangkoan district, Minahasa district for one month from June to July 2020. This study aims to determine the effect of counseling on increasing the income of pig farmer groups in Minahasa Regency by taking the case in Kiawa Dua Timur village, Kawangkoan Utara district. This research applies survey research in the form of descriptive tabular. Descriptive analysis is used to explain general things then tabular is used to explain the relationship between variables in tabular form. The survey was conducted by interview method with a questionnaire guide. Interviews were conducted using structured interview methods and questionnaire data collection methods which were distributed to thirty respondents of farmers. The results of studyÂ showed that extension services have a very big influence on increasing the income of the members of the pig farmers in the village of Kiawa Dua Timur. The income of farmers before counseling wasÂ Rp. 5.833 / month. Meanwhile, the farmer's income after the counseling was Rp.880.333/ month. The pig farming business carried out by the farmer group in Kiawa Dua Timur Village, North Kawangkoan District is economically profitable and feasible to develop.
