Abstract

The learning conditions due to the current COVID-19 pandemic require lecturers to have good digital literacy skills. The aims of this study were to: 1) describe the tools and applications used by lecturers in online learning, 2) describe digital literacy of lecturers, and 3) analyze factors related to digital literacy. This research approach uses a quantitative survey method with 49 lecturers at one of the largest Islamic religious campuses in Indonesia. The results of this study indicate that: 1) the tools used by lecturers in online learning during the COVID-19 pandemic consist of internet-connected laptops (63.27 percent), internet-connected smartphone devices (30.61 percent), internet-connected computers (4.08 percent) , and a small percentage (2.04 percent) use internet-connected gadgets or tablets. Applications used by lecturers in learning consist of Zoom (95.92 percent), WhatsApps (89.90 percent), Google Classroom (57.14 percent) and Academic Information System or AIS (55.10 percent). 2) The lecturer's digital literacy level (63.27 percent) is in the moderate category which tends to be high with a score between 94 to 112 (94 ≤ X < 113). 3). The factor that is significantly related to the lecturer's digital literacy level is the respondent's basic income.

Abstract

Background of the study: Students need to have good information literacy in order to complete their studies effectively and efficiently. Purpose: to analyze the characteristics and information literacy of students at State Islamic Religious Universities (PTKIN). Method: quantitative approach with survey methods. Data collection uses online questionnaire distribution. Data analysis techniques use descriptive statistics and inferential statistics. Findings: PTKIN students accessed social media ≤ 6 hours every day (60.23%); classified as generation Z (digital natives) aged 10-25 years (98.86%); the number of gadgets owned is 1 (88.64%); the majority have WhatsApp (100%), Instagram (92.05%), YouTube (79.55%) and Twitter (53.41%); the most frequently accessed social media is WhatsApp (61.36%); the purpose of using social media is as a communication tool (83.36%), looking for information to support the thesis (80.68%), looking for entertainment/relaxation (70.45%), sharing information, opinions and/or knowledge (68.18%) , interacting socially (54.55%), interacting with friends (53.41%) and filling free time while waiting for something/free time (53.41%). The information literacy level of students at PTKIN is classified as moderate and tends to be high with an average score between 73 and 90 (73 ≤ X < 91). Factors that are positively related to information literacy are the availability of infrastructure, accessibility, independence and social support from lecturers and parents. Only the duration of internet access is negatively related to student information literacy at PTKIN. Conclusion: Students at PTKIN already have sufficient information literacy to support the completion of their studies. However, information literacy needs to be improved in order to maximize study completion on time.

Abstract

Abstract: Religious counseling currently has a greater opportunity to be able to change people's behavior patterns through the use of Youtube social media by religious instructors and as a source of religious information. APJII data (2022) shows that Youtube social media (63.2%) as a popular and familiar audiovisual media that is most often accessed by Indonesians. The Lampu Islam Youtube channel is a religious study Youtube channel that takes advantage of this opportunity. This study aims; (1) to describe the level of religious lifestyle of the Youtube channel audience of Lampu Islam, (2) to analyze the effect of Religious Counseling on the Religious Lifestyle of the Youtube channel audience of Lampu Islam, (3) to analyze the significance of the influence caused by Religious Counseling on the Religious Lifestyle of the Youtube channel audience of Lampu Islam. Religious Lifestyle includes activities, interests, and opinions of a person in his religious life. This research uses a quantitative approach with a survey method. The number of samples of this study were 100 respondents. The data analysis carried out is descriptive analysis, classical assumption test, multiple linear regression test, correlation and determination coefficient test, F test (model feasibility) and T test (partial). The results of this study indicate (1) the level of religious lifestyle of the Islamic Lights YouTube channel audience is high with a percentage of 93 percent and a significance value of 0.000 <0.05, (2) there is a positive and significant influence between religious counseling on the religious lifestyle of the Islamic Lights YouTube channel audience, which means that the higher the religious counseling, the positive level of religious lifestyle in respondents will also increase, (3) the significance of the influence of religious counseling on religious lifestyle is 59.7 percent, the remaining 40.3 percent is influenced by other factors outside this study.Abstrak: Penyuluhan agama saat ini memiliki peluang yang lebih besar untuk dapat mengubah pola perilaku masyarakat melalui pemanfaatan media sosial Youtube oleh Penyuluh Agama dan sebagai sumber informasi keagamaan. Data APJII (2022) menunjukkan bahwa media sosial Youtube (63,2%) sebagai media audiovisual populer dan familiar yang paling sering diakses masyarakat Indonesia. Channel Youtube Lampu Islam merupakan saluran Youtube kajian keagamaan yang memanfaatkan peluang tersebut. Penelitian ini bertujuan; (1) mendeskripsikan tingkat gaya hidup beragama penonton channel Youtube Lampu Islam, (2) menganalisis pengaruh Penyuluhan Agama terhadap Gaya Hidup Beragama penonton channel Youtube Lampu Islam, (3) menganalisis signifikansi pengaruh yang disebabkan oleh Penyuluhan Agama terhadap Gaya Hidup Beragama penonton channel Youtube Lampu Islam. Adapum Gaya Hidup Beragama yaitu mencakup aktivitas, minat, dan opini seseorang dalam kehidupan beragamanya. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode survei. Jumlah sampel penelitian ini sebanyak 100 responden. Analisis data yang dilakukan adalah analisis deskriptif, uji asumsi klasik, uji regresi linear berganda, uji koefisien korelasi dan determinasi, uji F (kelayakan model) dan uji T (parsial). Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan (1) tingkat gaya hidup beragama penonton channel Youtube Lampu Islam tergolong tinggi dengan persentase sebesar 93 persen dan nilai signifikansi sebesar 0,000<0,05, (2) terdapat pengaruh yang positif dan signifikan antara penyuluhan agama terhadap gaya hidup beragama penonton channel YouTube Lampu Islam yang artinya semakin tinggi penyuluhan agama maka tingkat positif gaya hidup beragama pada responden akan semakin meningkat pula, (3) signifikansi pengaruh penyuluhan agama terhadap gaya hidup beragama sebesar 59,7 persen, sisanya sebesar 40,3 persen dipengaruhi oleh faktor lain diluar penelitian ini.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Social media for lecturers, especially at the State Islamic Religious College (PTKIN) can not only be used as a means of learning, including preaching, but can also be a means of disseminating hoax information. This study aims to analyze the characteristics and behavior of PTKIN lecturers in the digital space during the COVID-19 pandemic. The research was carried out using a quantitative approach using a survey method with 49 respondents who were selected using a random sampling technique. The data collection technique used observation and online questionnaire distribution through Google Forms. Data analysis used descriptive statistics in the form of frequency and percentage tables. The results showed that the majority of respondents were in the adult category (41–52 years) with a moderate level of education (<22 years) and moderate income ranging from IDR 3,321,101–IDR 4,491,400. Respondents' purposes for accessing social media, which tend to be short (<3 hours), include communicating, seeking information, sharing information/opinions, interacting with friends, seeking entertainment/relaxation, and filling in free time in their free time. Social media owned by the majority of respondents consists of WhatsApp, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, and Telegram. Even though respondents have more than one social media account, the one that is most frequently accessed is WhatsApp. The respondent's behavior when obtaining information in the digital space is to ignore it, with a tendency to read its contents for oneself. Only a small proportion of respondents disseminated the information to others after cross-checking. This study concluded that PTKIN lecturers during the COVID-19 pandemic already had basic knowledge about information and the impact of hoaxes in the digital space, so they acted to ignore information that had been confirmed as hoaxes.   ABSTRAK Media sosial bagi dosen khususnya di Perguruan Tinggi Keagamaan Islam Negeri (PTKIN) tidak hanya dapat dijadikan sebagai sarana pembelajaran, termasuk berdakwah, tetapi juga dapat menjadi sarana penyebaran informasi hoaks. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis karakteristik dan perilaku dosen PTKIN di ruang digital pada masa pandemi COVID-19. Penelitian dilakukan dengan pendekatan kuantitatif menggunakan metode survei terhadap 49 responden yang diambil menggunakan teknik sampel acak (random sampling). Teknik pengambilan data menggunakan observasi dan penyebaran kuesioner secara online melalui formulir Google. Analisis data menggunakan statistik deskriptif berupa tabel frekuensi dan persentase. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa mayoritas usia responden berada pada kategori dewasa (41-52 tahun) dengan tingkat pendidikan sedang (< 22 tahun) dan berpenghasilan sedang berkisar antara Rp 3.321.101 – Rp 4. 491.400. Tujuan responden mengakses media sosial yang cenderung singkat (<3 jam) antara lain untuk berkomunikasi, mencari informasi, berbagi informasi/opini, berinteraksi dengan teman, mencari hiburan/relaksasi, dan mengisi waktu luang di saat senggang. Media sosial yang dimiliki mayoritas responden terdiri dari Whatsapp, Facebook, Instagram, Youtube, dan Telegram. Meskipun responden memiliki media sosial lebih dari satu akun, namun media sosial yang paling sering diakses adalah Whatsapp. Adapun perilaku responden ketika mendapatkan informasi di ruang digital adalah mengabaikan dengan kecenderungan membaca isinya untuk diri sendiri. Hanya sebagian kecil responden saja yang menyebarkan ulang informasi tersebut kepada orang lain setelah melakukan crosscheck. Kesimpulan penelitian adalah dosen PTKIN di masa pandemi COVID-19 sudah memiliki pengetahuan dasar tentang informasi dan dampak dari hoaks di ruang digital sehingga bertindak untuk mengabaikan informasi yang sudah terkonfirmasi sebagai hoaks.

Abstract

Post-distance learning final year students have more challenges than ever before. This study aims to analyze: 1) the characteristics of final year students, 2) the level of self-efficacy and academic procrastination of students, and 3) the factors associated with self-efficacy and academic procrastination of post-distance learning students. This research approach is quantitative with survey method. Respondents were 97 students at the Islamic college. Data were collected using an online questionnaire. The results showed that: 1) the characteristics of respondents are generation Z groups (digital natives), are preparing a thesis and almost half of the respondents only focus on activities to complete their studies, 2) the level of self-efficacy and academic procrastination of respondents is moderate tends to be high, and 3) factors related to self-efficacy are age, amount of pocket money and information literacy, while factors related to academic procrastination are age and duration of internet access. Therefore, students need to increase self-efficacy and reduce procrastination in completing the thesis.

Abstract

Abstract: Final year students need to have good academic resilience, this can happen if there is social support from outside parties, one of which is social support from peers. Therefore, the objectives of this research are: 1. To describe the level of academic resilience of final students at the Faculty of Da'wah and Communication Sciences, UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta, 2. To analyze the influence of the variable (X) Peer Social Support on the variable (Y) Academic Resilience of Students at the Faculty of Da'wah and Communication Sciences. This research approach uses the Quantitative Correlational Method with a sample size of 85 students from the Faculty of Da'wah and Communication Sciences, UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta. The data analysis techniques used in this research are the Kolmogrov Smirnov normality test, simple linear test, correlation coefficient test, coefficient of determination test, T hypothesis test (partial), and F hypothesis test (simultaneous) using the SPSS Statistics 20 application. Social Support from Peers' Social Friends influences Academic Resilience so that Ha is accepted. The results of this research show: 1) The level of peer social support on academic resilience is 0.410, which is classified as a moderate correlation and has a positive value, 2) There is a significant influence between the social support variable of peers on the academic resilience variable of students in the faculty of da'wah and communication sciences with a value of Tcount (4.091) > Ttable (1.989), meaning that the higher the social support of peers, the higher the academic resilience of students in the faculty of Da'wah and communication sciences at UIN Syarif. Hidayatullah Jakarta.Abstrak: Mahasiswa tingkat akhir perlu memiliki resiliensi akademik yang baik, hal tersebut dapat terjadi apabila ada dukungan sosial dari pihak luar salah satunya yaitu dukungan sosial teman sebaya. Oleh karena itu tujuan dari penelitian ini : 1. Untuk mendeskripsikan tingkat Resiliensi Akademik Mahasiswa Akhir Fakultas Dakwah dan Ilmu Komunikasi UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta, 2. Untuk menganalisis pengaruh variabel (X) Dukungan Sosial Teman Sebaya Terhadap Variabel (Y) Resiliensi Akademik Mahasiswa Fakultas Dakwah dan Ilmu Komunikasi. Pendekatan penelitian ini menggunakan Metode Kuantitatif Korelasional dengan jumlah sampel 85 Mahasiswa Fakultas Dakwah dan Ilmu Komunikasi UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan penelitian ini adalah uji normalitas kolmogrov smirnov, uji linear sederhana, uji koefisien korelasi, uji koefisien determinasi, uji hipotesis T (parsial), dan uji hipotesis F (simultan) dengan menggunakan aplikasi SPSS Statistics 20. Dukungan Sosial Teman Sosial Teman Sebaya berpengaruh terhadap Resiliensi Akademik sehingga Ha di terima. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan : 1) Tingkat dukungan sosial teman sebaya terhadap resiliensi akademik sebesar 0,410 tergolong korelasi sedang dan memiliki nilai positif, 2) Terdapat pengaruh yang siginifikan antara variabel dukungan sosial teman sebaya terhadap variabel resiliensi akademik mahasiswa fakultas dakwah dan ilmu komunikasi dengan nilai Thitung (4,091) > Ttabel (1,989), artinya semakin tinggi dukungan sosial teman sebaya maka semakin tinggi resiliensi akademik mahasiswa fakultas dakwah dan ilmu komunikasi UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta.
