Abstract

A balanced diet is one of the most important things in maintaining a person's health level and optimal condition, including nutritional status. Many factors are thought to be related to the adequacy level of energy in students. This research aims to determine what factors are related to the energy intake of Physical Education Health and Recreation students, STKIP PGRI Sumenep. Quantitative observational analytics with a cross-sectional study approach was used in this research. The Food Record Questionnaire collects food intake data, including smoking habits, breakfast, and pocket money. The data obtained from the food record is entered into Microsoft Excel 2013. The food consumption data is entered, then the individual's intake and energy adequacy level are calculated.  Spearman rank analysis determined the relationship between smoking habits, breakfast, pocket money, and students' adequacy level of energy. The average energy intake of students is 1138 calories. Most students' adequacy level of energy is classified as lacking. A significant relationship exists between smoking habits, breakfast habits, and pocket money with students' energy intake (p<0.05).

Abstract

This research employed a qualitative descriptive approach aimed at providing a comprehensive and detailed description of learning phenomena using everyday language. The study examined students’ perceptions of the use of Gap Board media in the learning process. The findings indicate that the Gap Board is perceived as interesting, challenging, and effective in enhancing student motivation, learning activities, and overall learning experience. The dominance of agree and strongly agree responses across all indicators suggests a positive student response to learning that integrates visual elements, challenges, and active engagement. Furthermore, the challenging elements embedded in the Gap Board contribute to increased learning motivation, supporting intrinsic motivation theory, which posits that enjoyable yet challenging activities foster sustained interest and engagement.

Abstract

This research explores the relationships among height, weight, and agility in professional female volleyball players. The study employed a quantitative, correlational, and cross-sectional design. The participants were 14 professional female volleyball athletes who met the inclusion criteria. Height was measured using a SECA 213 stadiometer, weight with a TANITA BC-545N, and agility was measured using the T-Agility Test. Descriptive statistics and Pearson correlation analyses were performed using IBM SPSS Statistics 20.0 (α=0.05) to examine the research data. The average height of participants was 171.86±4.97 cm, weight 65.17±5.57 kg, and agility time 11.05±0.44 seconds. The results of the Pearson correlation test showed that height had a strong positive relationship with agility (r=0.782, p<0.01), while weight showed a moderate positive relationship with agility (r=0.577, p<0.05). There was a significant positive relationship between height and agility, and weight and agility among professional female volleyball athletes. Participants with greater height and weight tended to take longer to complete the agility test.
