Abstract

The purposes of this study were to (1) determine the character values of Abdullah bin Abu Quhafah; (2) determine the implementation of teachers for learning the character values of Abdullah bin Abu Kuhafah through the Islamic Cultural History (SKI) lesson in MAN Karanganyar; (3) the obstacle faced by teacher for learning the character values of Abdullah bin Abu Kuhafah through the Islamic Cultural History (SKI) lesson in MAN KaranganyarThis study was conducted under qualitative descriptive method that emphasizes the process and meaning of the activity or information in the ongoing situation. The strategy used in this study was case study. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and document analysis. In order to valid the data, the researcher used data sources triangulation and method triangulation. This research used an interactive model.The results showed that (1) the teacher?s understanding of the character values of Abdullah bin Abu Kuhafah include honesty, courageous, generous, modest and religious. In the SKI lesson these character values have been applied properly; (2) the teacher implementation for learning character values of Abdullah bin Abu Kuhafah through SKI includes planning, implementation and teacher evaluation. In the SKI planning as a media for learning character values Abdullah bin Abu Kuhafah started with the preparation of lesson tools such as lesson plan (RPP) based on curriculum 2013 syllabus. RPP has contains character values. The implementation of SKI lesson consists of the beginning, middle, and the end. The third stage is used by SKI Teacher to learning the character values. Evaluation of the learning the character values of Abdullah bin Abu Kuhafah is done by an assesment of the aspect of knowledge, skill, and attitudes of learners; (3) the constraints faced by SKI teacher in the SKI lesson as a media for learning the character values of Abdullah bin Abu Kuhafah is limited teaching time, the limited resources of learners, the student school development environment different with the school outside environment.

Abstract

This research is aimed at to know: (1) genealogy biography of Abdurrahman Wahid; (2) intellectual abroad of Abdurrahman Wahid when he was teenager; and (3) Abdurrahman Wahid?s thought in the context of diversity of Indonesia and the relation of religion and state.The method that is used in this research is phenomenology qualitative method. The steps done in this research covers: collecting data, data reduction, data display, and drawing conclusion. The sources of the research are interview and document. The techniques of collecting data in this research are literature review and interview. The validity of the data is done by data source triangulation. The technique of analyzing data is interactive technique, by reducing and displaying data while collecting data. The data in the form of field note is the data that has been dig and noted. The field notes then become systematic and logic data display based on the problem statements. The collecting data process that has been done, then the researcher arranges the discussion and draws the conclusion. Based on the results of the research, it can be concluded that: (1) Abdurrahman Wahid is one of prominent figure of Indonesia has to be descendant of aristocrat of Hasyim Asy?ari who was founder of Tebuireng Muslim Boarding School and founder of Nahdlatul Ulama, so that Abdurrahman Wahid gets the important position in the society; (2) Abdurrahman Wahid has education and social intercourse experience that makes he has liberal, moderate, and progressive thought; (3) there is mutual symbiotic correlation between religion and state, both working together in the community, nation and religion protects religious life even guiding life in the country. Symbiotic relation of religion and state in Indonesia is stated in Pancasila, Indonesian Constitutional Law 1945, and Bhinneka Tunggal Ika slogan. Pancasila and the Constitution of 1945 is the final form of the best. Pancasila and the Constitution of 1945 into a platform capable of shelters a diversity of the Indonesian community. Abdurrahman Wahid?s thought about relation between religion and state based on fiqh perspective by adapting the condition of Indonesian social-cultural. The material about Abdurrahman Wahid can be inserted in History subject grade 12st Social in the material of the government system that have ever existed in Indonesia, starting from Old Order, New Order Government, until Reformation. The teacher should not only teach about the characteristics of government, how the running of the government is, the plus and minus of the government system, but also tell about the model of the figures that had ever been the leader in that government system. For example is Abdurrahman Wahid. We can take his positive behavior that shown up until now as a learning and good model. Those behaviors are democratic, anti-discrimination, and respect about pluralism.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to know: (1) Rationale of Economic Democracy Mohammad Hatta, (2) Thought Muhammad Hatta on social economy. (3) The relevance of thought Muhammad Hatta in the Indonesian economy.This research used the Historical research or historical method. Data source in this study are used primary sources and secondary sources. Historical method is Heuristic process, Criticism, Interpretation, Historiography reconstructed based on the data obtained so as to produce events or Historical Facts.Based on this research can be concluded: (1) Rationale of democratic economy Mohammad Hatta, his biography that tells Hatta?s life began as a child, studied in the Netherlands, fought for independence of Indonesian, until he died in 1980. Then, when Hatta as an economist. Mohammad Hatta is a pioneer or rationale of economy that democracy based, the concept is the first foundation in building the economy in Indonesia. (2) Thought for Economic Democracy Mohammad Hatta , Hatta choose cooperation as a way out of the Indonesian nation out of economic problems faced during this . Hatta said that the cooperative consists of two joints , the joints of solidarity and joint individualist . While the rest of cooperatives are people, not money and cooperatives are not looking for maximum profit , but to serve the needs of joint and container participation of small-scale economic actors . Hatta argue with the spirit of togetherness and family as well as cooperation in the cooperative can deliver the Indonesian nation to achieve the goals and ideals of development. (3) The relevance of thought Mohammad Hatta in the Economic and Social part, as well as the relevance of Hatta?s thought with economical that occurred in Indonesia at this time.

Abstract

The objective of this research is to comprehend (1) SKI teachers? understanding about curriculum 2013, (2) teachers? lesson plan on teaching SKI, (3) the teaching practice of SKI, (4) teaching evaluation of SKI, (5) obstacles and supportive factors in teaching SKI based on the curriculum 2013 on the topic of BaniAbbasiyah for class XI IPS in MAN 1 Surakarta.This research is a qualitative descriptive research. It was conducted in MAN 1 Surakarta with class XI IPS as the subjects. This study case research used single-rooted approach. Sources of the data were (1) informants, i.e. SKI teachers, vice principal of curriculum section, and students of XI IPS, (2) places, events, or activities, and (3) documents or archive. Sampling method used was purposive sampling. Data were collected by means of (1) interview, (2) observation, and (3) document analysis. Data validity was tested through triangulation of sources and methods. Data were analyzed through data reduction, data display, and verification.The results showed that (1) SKI teachers? understanding about curriculum 2013 was already good; (2) lesson planning was based on the guidance in the curriculum 2013; (3) teaching practices were in accordance with the lesson plan developed by the teachers consisting of three stages i.e. introduction, main activity covering 5M, and closing. Those three stages were employed by SKI teachers to set up character values to the students; (4) evaluation of SKI teaching covered cognitive, affective, and psychomotor aspects; (5) supportive factors in teaching SKI included complete facilities, training of curriculum 2013  for teachers, and complete learning sources. On the other hand, the obstacles were inadequate time allotment for SKI, i.e. only an hour, students? low interest in learning SKI, and difficulties in evaluating the SKI teaching due to many administrative procedure of evaluation based on curriculum 2013. Efforts carried out by teachers to solve the problems were choosing appropriate model and method of teaching in the lesson planning, conducting outdoor class to reduce students? boredom, and using certain strategies to approach the students to know their characteristic and competence in order to ease the teachers in doing the evaluation.
