Abstract

The objectives of research were: (1) to find out the relationship between historical comprehension to the historical awareness of the students of class XI IPS SMA Negeri 1 Tawangsari. 2) to find out the relationship between social area to the historical awareness of the students of class XI IPS SMA Negeri 1 Tawangsari, and 3) to find out the relationship between historical comprehension and social area to the historical awareness of the students of class XI IPS SMA Negeri 1 Tawangsari.This study was a descriptive quantitative research using statistical analysis to draw a conclusion. The population of research was all of XI IPS grades in SMA Negeri 1 Tawangsari. The sample consisted of 81 students taken using random sampling technique. The data needed was obtained through test and questionnaire. The questionnaire was tried out first and tested for its validity and reliability. The technique of analyzing data used was a multiple linear regression analysis, F-, t-, R2-tests, and relative and effective contributions.The conclusions of research were as: 1) There is a positively relationship between historical comprehension to the historical awareness of the students of class XI IPS SMA Negeri 1 Tawangsari. It could be seen from the multiple linear regression analysis (t-test) showing that tstatistic> ttable, 2.073 > 1.664 and the significance value < 0.05 yaitu 0.041 with relative contribution of 16.312% and effective contribution of 6.287%. 2)  There is a positively relationship between social area to the historical awareness of the students of class XI IPS SMA Negeri 1 Tawangsari. It could be seen from the multiple linear regression analysis (t-test) showing that tstatistic> ttable, 5.922 > 1.664 and the significance value <0.05 yaitu 0.000with relative contribution of 83.688% and effective contribution of 32.253%. 3) There is a positively relationship between historical comprehension and social area to the historical awareness of the students of class XI IPS SMA Negeri 1 Tawangsari. It could be seen from the multiple linear regression variance analysis (F-test) showing that Fstatistic> Ftable, 24.456 > 3.114and the significance value < 0.05, of 0.000. The coefficient of determination (R2) of 0,3854indicated that historical awareness and nationalism?s attitudeaffected 38.54% the student?s learning achievement in history lessongrade XI SMK Negeri 7 Surakarta, while the rest was affected by other variables.

Abstract

            The purpose of this research is to enhance the students? creativity and learning achievment of students in class X IPS 2 SMA Negeri 6 Surakarta by applying the teaching model of cooperative learning type STAD with songs media in history subject.This research is a classroom action research (CAR). The research was conducted in two cycles, with each cycle consisting of a plan, action, observation, and reflection. The subjects were 31 students of class X IPS 2 SMA Negeri 6 Surakarta. Source of data was derived from the teacher, the students and the learning process. Data collection techniques were implemented by conducting tests, observations, interviews, and documentation. Testing the data validity was by using triangulation of data and triangulation methods. Data analysis was conducted by using comparative descriptive analysis techniques. The research model used was the spiral model (Planning, Acting, Observing and Reflecting).The results showed that the teacher could be categorized as be able to teach well in the learning process, so that the learning process ran well. The ability of teachers to teach in pre-cycle was 66. 94% which increased to 79.46% in the first cycle and 84.82% in the second cycle. The implementation of teaching model of cooperative tipe STAD with songs media could enhance the students? creativity and learning achievment of studying history subject of class X IPS 2 SMA Negeri 6 Surakarta in pre-cycle to the first cycle and from cycle I to cycle II. The students? activeness in pre-cycle was 66.57% which increased to 74.51% in the first cycle and 83.16% in the second cycle. The completeness of students? learning outcomes in pre-cycle was 48.38% which increased to 74.51% in the first cycle and successfully developed to 83.87 in the second cycle.Based on learning achievment of research and discussion, it can be drawn the conclusion that the teaching model of cooperative learning type STAD with songs media enhance the students? creativity and learning achievment of class X IPS 2 SMA Negeri 6 Surakarta.

Abstract

The objectives of research were: (1) to find out the relationship between historical comprehension with their awareness of history grade X of SMA Negeri 1 Ngemplak Boyolali, 2) to find out the relationship between perception of students about teaching skills of teacher to their awareness of history grade X of SMA Negeri 1 Ngemplak Boyolali, and 3) to find out the relationship between historical comprehension and perception of students about teaching skills of teacher to their awareness of history grade X of SMA Negeri 1 Ngemplak Boyolali.This research used the survey research method with correlational design. The population of this research was all student of X grades in SMA Negeri 1 Ngemplak Boyolali. The sample of this research consisted of 100 students out of total number as many as 270 students. The data of this research were gathered through test on the historical comprehension, questionnaire on the perception of students about teaching skills of teacher, and questionnaire on the awareness of history. The test on the instrument of test and questionnaire consisted of validity and reliability tests. The data were then analyzed by using the correlation analysis, multiple linear regression, and single linear regression analysis techniques.The conclusions of research were as: 1) There is a positive and significant correlation of historical comprehension with their awareness of history as indicated by the regression coefficient as much as 0,566 at the constant of 93,081 and the correlation coefficient as much as rhit 0,202 > rtab = 0,195 at the significance level of 5%. 2) There is a positive and significant correlation of perception of students about teaching skills of teacher to their awareness of history as indicated by the regression coefficient as much as 0,072 at the constant of 97,93 and the correlation coefficient as much as rhit 0,330 > rtab = 0,195 at the significance level of 5%. 3) There is not any positive and significant simultaneous correlation of the historical comprehension and perception of students about teaching skills of teacher to their awareness of history as signified by correlation coefficient as much as 0,2147, the regression coefficient of the historical comprehension  as much as 0,5390, the regression coefficient of the perception of students about teaching skills of teacher as much as 0,0504 at the constant of 88,6 and the determination coefficient as much as 0,0461 with the equation of multiple regression line of ? = 88,6 + 0,5390 X1 + 0,0504 X2 and the value of Fcount which is smaller than that of Ftab (2,3448 < 3,440) at the significance level of 5%.
