Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: 1) Mengetahui hubungan representasi scientific illustration siswa terhadap kemampuan kognitif siswa pada pokok bahasan sistem gerak dan 2) Mengetahui persepsi siswa tentang pembelajaran dengan scientific illustration. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian ex-post facto dengan desain penelitian kausal komparatif dan survei dengan data yang disajikan dalam bentuk kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Kemampuan kognitif diuji dengan dua jenis scientific illustration kepada kelas yang berbeda bedasarkan pembelajaran pada semester ganjil tahun ajaran 2021/2022 pada materi sistem gerak dengan media pembelajaran berbasis scientific illustration. Uji pengetahuan diujikan secara luring dengan menggunakan metode paper-based test. Uji persepsi diujikan melalui daring denggan menggunakan google form. Analisis data pengetahuan menggunakan Uji T dengan aplikasi SPSS dan analisis persepsi dengan perhitungan persentase menggunakan aplikasi Ms. Excel 2016. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: 1) Pembelajaran dengan menggunakan scientific illustration menimbulkan persepsi yang sangat positif pada aspek gaya belajar, proses pengolahan pengetahuan dan ilustrasi dan persepsi positif pada aspek sumber belajar pada pembelajaran materi Sistem Gerak. 2) Penggunaan scientific illustration yang diujikan dengan dua jenis ilustrasi yang berbeda terdapat perbedaan kemampuan kognitif pada diri siswa sebagai pengaruh penggunaan scientific illustration yang berbeda pada pembelajaran biologi materi sistem gerak.Kata Kunci: representasi, kognitif, persepsi, scientific illustration, sistem gerak.

Abstract

One of the bacteria growing media that is often used in laboratories is Nutrient Agar (NA). However, the price of this bacterial growth medium is relatively expensive. The high price of media and the abundance of untapped natural resources have encouraged researchers to find new alternative media from simple ingredients. Tubers contain high carbohydrate content so they have the potential to be used as the medium. This study used Nutrient Agar as a control as well as two varieties of canna tubers (Umbi Ganyong), namely white canna and red canna. This research is an experimental study to determine the effectiveness and characteristics of canna tubers as a medium for bacterial growth, which in this study used three variations of the concentration of canna tuber powder (10, 20, 30) grams per 600 ml aquadest. The results showed that bacteria can grow on media made of 20 gr/600 ml white canna tubers with the highest number of bacterial colonies of 9,5. 103 CFU/ml. This proves that white canna tubers are much more effective as a medium for growing bacteria compared to red canna tubers. Abstract

The presence of butterflies can be found in several types of habitats and can be used as an indicator of environmental conditions. Geologically, the Nglanggeran Ancient Volcano is unique and has high scientific value. It is necessary to update the butterfly diversity data to determine the diversity of butterflies at Nglanggeran Ancient Volcano. The purpose of this study was to determine the diversity, richness, evenness, and dominance of butterfly species at Nglanggeran Ancient Volcano. The exploration method was carried out to obtain data for three repetitions. There were 51 butterfly species with a total of 584 individuals, consisting of Nymphalidae (54.55%), Papilionidae (21.82%), Pieridae (20.00%) and Lycaenidae (3.64%). The index value of butterfly species diversity at Nglanggeran Ancient Volcano (2.97) was medium. The species evenness index (0.83) indicated that the species was relatively stable and evenly distributed. The richness of butterfly species was high, i.e. 6.70, suggesting that the current habitat was suitable for the life of the butterflies. The dominance index value was low, i.e. 0.12, indicating that there was no domination of certain species. The abundant species were Eurema sp. (23.12%), Ideopsis juventa (7.02%), and Catopsilia pomona (6.85%).
