Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: 1) Mengetahui hubungan representasi scientific illustration siswa terhadap kemampuan kognitif siswa pada pokok bahasan sistem gerak dan 2) Mengetahui persepsi siswa tentang pembelajaran dengan scientific illustration. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian ex-post facto dengan desain penelitian kausal komparatif dan survei dengan data yang disajikan dalam bentuk kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Kemampuan kognitif diuji dengan dua jenis scientific illustration kepada kelas yang berbeda bedasarkan pembelajaran pada semester ganjil tahun ajaran 2021/2022 pada materi sistem gerak dengan media pembelajaran berbasis scientific illustration. Uji pengetahuan diujikan secara luring dengan menggunakan metode paper-based test. Uji persepsi diujikan melalui daring denggan menggunakan google form. Analisis data pengetahuan menggunakan Uji T dengan aplikasi SPSS dan analisis persepsi dengan perhitungan persentase menggunakan aplikasi Ms. Excel 2016. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: 1) Pembelajaran dengan menggunakan scientific illustration menimbulkan persepsi yang sangat positif pada aspek gaya belajar, proses pengolahan pengetahuan dan ilustrasi dan persepsi positif pada aspek sumber belajar pada pembelajaran materi Sistem Gerak. 2) Penggunaan scientific illustration yang diujikan dengan dua jenis ilustrasi yang berbeda terdapat perbedaan kemampuan kognitif pada diri siswa sebagai pengaruh penggunaan scientific illustration yang berbeda pada pembelajaran biologi materi sistem gerak.Kata Kunci: representasi, kognitif, persepsi, scientific illustration, sistem gerak.

Abstract

Penelitian bertujuan untuk (1) untuk mengembangkan prototipe aplikasi media Virtual Laboratory Uji Zat Makanan, (2) mengetahui kelayakan dari media Virtual Laboratory Uji Zat Makanan dengan model pembelajaran discovery learning sebagai media pembelajaran biologi untuk siswa SMA kelas XI IPA. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian dan pengembangan (RD) dengan model pengembangan ADDIE yang hanya dilakukan sampai tahap Development (ADD). Subjek dalam penelitian ini ialah dua ahli materi, dua ahli media, dua guru Biologi SMA, dan 28 siswa SMA kelas XI IPA. Pengumpulan data menggunakan instrumen review berupa angket skala Likert. Teknik analisis data menggunakan analisis deskriptif kuantitatif. Penelitian ini menghasilkan produk berupa aplikasi Virtual Laboratory Uji Zat Makanan untuk siswa SMA kelas XI IPA pada materi pokok sistem pencernaani. Berdasarkan hasil penilaian ahli dan praktisi, serta tanggapan dari 28 siswa aplikasi Virtual Laboratory Uji Zat Makanan memenuhi kriteria minimal baik sehingga dapat dinyatakan layak untuk dikembangkan lebih lanjut.

Abstract

Penelitian bertujuan untuk: (1) mengetahui pelaksanaan pembelajaran daring di kelas XI IPA SMA Negeri 12 Banyuasin III dan (2)  mengathui gambaran tingkat kemandirian belajar serta (3) mengetahui gambaran komptensi literasi digital siswa dalam pembelajaran daring selama Pandemi Covid-19.  Penelitian ini termasuk penelitian deskriptif dengan pendekatan studi kasus. Populasi penelitian yaitu peserta didik SMA Negeri 12 Banyuasin III dengan sampel penelitian yaitu  peserta didik kelas XI IPA di SMA Negeri 12 Banyuasin III berjumlah 83 peserta didik yang diperoleh melalui teknik pusrposive sampling. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan angket, pedoman wawancara dan soal tes literasi digital. Teknik analisis data menggunakan statistik deskriptif.  Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa (1) pelaksanaan pembelajaran selama pandemi di SMA Negeri 12 Banyuasin III dilakukan dengan bantuan aplikasi pembelajaran Google Classroom, Google meet/Zoom Meeting, Quizizz, Youtube. (2) gambaran tingkat kemandirian belajar siswa Selama pembelajaran daring, menunjukan Siswa memiliki tingkat kemandirian belajar yang kuat. Berdasarkan dari hasil analisis persentase setiap indikator kemandirian belajar siswa, rata-rata persentase keseluruhan indikator sebesar 78,2 %. (3) komptensi literasi digital Siswa berdasarkan hasil analisis angket, persentase setiap indikator literasi digital siswa sebesar 71,5 %. Hasil uji tes soal literasi digital sebesar 76 %. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa indikator literasi digital siswa berada pada kategori tinggi.

Abstract

Penelitian  ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kelayakan e-modul materi sistem pertahanan tubuh dengan instagram sebagai bahan ajar biologi dan potensi efektivitas e-modul guna mengembangkan keterampilan argumentasi siswa. Penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian Research and Development dengan tahap Analysis, Design, dan Development. Subyek penelitian terdiri atas dua orang ahli materi biologi, dua orang ahli media pembelajaran biologi, satu guru biologi, dan 30 siswa kelas XI IPA di salah satu SMA di DI Yogyakarta. Data penelitian meliputi nilai kelayakan e-modul yang dikumpulkan menggunakan instrumen penilaian ahli materi biologi, ahli media, dan guru biologi, serta data kemampuan argumentasi siswa yang diperoleh dari soal pretest dan postes. Data penelitian dianalisis secara deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa e-modul layak digunakan berdasarkan penilaian ahli materi biologi yaitu sebesar 92%, ahli media sebesar 81.5 %, dan hasil penilaian guru biologi yaitu sebesar 77.5% untuk indikator kelayakan modul tergolong layak. E-modul ini potensial efektif dalam meningkatkan keterampilan argumentasi siswa berdasarkan nilai gain score sebesar 0.54 yang berarti keterampilan argumentasi siswa setelah belajar menggunakan e-modul mengalami peningkatan  dengan kategori sedang.This research aims to determine the feasibility of an e-module developed using Instagram as a biology instructional media on the topic of immune system and to find out its potential of effectiveness to develop students' argumentation skills. This research was conducted based on Research and Development framework through Analysis, Design, and Development stages. The subjects of the study were two biology experts, two biology instructional media experts, a biology teacher, and 30 grade-11 students of a high school in Yogyakarta province. The research data include the value judgements of the e-module feasibility which were collected using expert judgement sheets for biology experts, instructional media experts, and biology teachers, while data of students' argumentation skill obtained by pretest and posttest. All data were analyzed descriptively. The findings show that based on the feasibility judgements by 92% of biology experts reviews, 81.5% media experts reviews, and 77.5% of teacher review towards the feasibility criteria it is noted that the developed e-module is feasible to be used in biology instruction. Thus, the e-module is noticeably effective in fostering students’ argumentation skills based on the gain score obtained by 0.54 which means reached to medium category of students’ argumentation skill achievement.

Abstract

This research carried out the first few stages namely Define, the second stage was Design, the next stage was Develop and the last was Dissemination. From each of these steps, there are several steps that need to be carried out. In the Define step, there are 5 stages that need to be taken. 1) front-end analysis , 2) learner analysis , 3) task analysis , 4) concept analysis , and 5) specifying instructional objectives. These five steps aim to map the needs of students and also the needs of the learning process. The hope is that the product to be developed can truly answer the needs of learning and students appropriately. In the second stage, is Design. There are 4 activities that need to be carried out during the Design stage, namely 1) constructing criterion-referenced tests , 2) media selection , 3) format selection , and 4) initial design. This Design stage is the result of the embodiment of the analysis carried out in the Define stage. Of course, the hope at this design stage is that the resulting product design is a product that is suitable and in accordance with the conditions of the perpetrators of the learning process, especially students as learners. In the Develop stage, the initial product produced from the Design stage is reviewed by experts and professionals, and tested on product users. Input from experts and professionals as well as input from product users, becomes a reference for consideration in revising the product being developed. The goal is that users can actually do learning according to their knowledge. If the product has passed the test at the develop stage and revisions have been carried out, then the next stage is the dissemination of the use of the resulting product. what really needs to be considered at this final stage is the choice of platform or container that will be used as a medium for disseminating the teaching materials that have been prepared.

Abstract

Sustainability awareness has become an increasingly important aspect of global education, especially in the face of environmental challenges. This approach to education with sustainable principles is needed to educate the current generation to meet their needs without risking the next generation, including the issue of food waste. The purpose of this study is to describe the profile of sustainability awareness in high school students related to the issue of food waste. This research used a qualitative descriptive method. The instrument used was a questionnaire developed from three aspects of sustainability awareness: behavior and attitude awareness, emotional awareness, and sustainability practice awareness. The results of filling out the questionnaire were analyzed by determining the mean and percentage and then categorizing the level of sustainability awareness. The results showed that 56% of students have awareness related to the issue of food waste at a moderate level. So, it can be concluded that students have an awareness of the value of sustainability at an emotional level without practicing it in everyday life.

Abstract

This study aims to reveal the effectiveness of a SSI-based biology learning website in the topic of digestive system on students’ argumentation skill. This was a quasi-experimental study that used a pretest-posttest non-equivalent control group design. The population of the study was students of class 11 MIPA program at Sedayu 1 State Senior High School in Bantul. Two classes were selected by purposive sampling technique, which MIPA 3 was assigned as the experimental class and MIPA 4 as the control class. Data of students’ argumentation skill were collected using an essay test instrument, and analized statistically using the Wilcoxon as well as the Mann-Whitney test assisted by SPSS and also by comparing the effect size. The results showed that the application of the SSI-based biology learning website was effective in improving students' argumentation skills with the Wilcoxon test results a significance value of 0.001 and supported by an effect size value of 1.33 and potentially be further implemented as supporting learning material for developing students’ argumentation skills particularly in the topic of digestive system. Abstrak. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui efektivitas website pembelajaran biologi berbasis SSI materi sistem pencernaan terhadap keterampilan argumentasi peserta didik. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuasi eksperimen menggunakan pretest-posttest non-equivalent control group design. Populasi penelitian adalah seluruh peserta didik kelas 11 MIPA di SMA Negeri 1 Sedayu, Bantul. Pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik purposive sampling, kelas 11 MIPA 3 terpilih sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas 11 MIPA 4 sebagai kelas kontrol. Data keterampilan argumentasi peserta didik dikumpulkan melalui instrumen tes berbentuk esai dan dianalisis secara statistik menggunakan uji Wilcoxon dan uji Mann-Whitney, serta membandingkan nilai effect size. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan website pembelajaran biologi berbasis SSI efektif meningkatkan keterampilan argumentasi peserta didik dengan uji Wilcoxon dihasilkan nilai signifikansi 0,001 dan didukung dengan nilai effect size sebesar 1.33 dan dapat dimanfaatkan sebagai alternatif paket pembelajaran biologi untuk mengembangkan keterampilan berargumentasi pada materi sistem pencernaan.

Abstract

Penulusuran literatur atau penelitian perihal praktik pembelajaran yang berorientasi pada literasi kesehatan khususnya melalui mata pelajaran sains-biologi di Indonesia menunjukkan bahwa pengembangan dan aplikasi desain instruksional belum banyak dihasilkan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kelayakan web pembelajaran biologi berbasis Socio-scientific issues (SSI) untuk diimplementasikan dalam pembelajaran biologi di SMA. Metode yang digunakan adalah research & development. Subjek penelitian terdiri dari 2 ahli materi, 2 ahli media, 2 guru biologi, dan 20 siswa SMA. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan instrumen penilaian dan angket. Data kualitatif dianalisis secara deskriptif kualitatif sebagai bahan revisi media dan data kuatitatif menggunakan persentase untuk penilaian kelayakan. Hasil dari penelitian pengembangan ini adalah web pembelajaran biologi berbasis SSI topik sistem pernapasan untuk mengembangkan literasi kesehatan siswa SMA kelas XI. Web pembelajaran yang dikembangkan telah memenuhi kriteria kelayakan berdasarkan aspek konsep esensial materi biologi, informasi kajian biologi, bahasa kajian biologi, organisasi pembelajaran, dan operasional sajian web berdasarkan hasil penilaian dari ahli materi, ahli media, dan guru biologi. Berdasarkan hasil penilaian tersebut dapat disimpulkan web pembelajaran yang dkembangkan layak digunakan dalam pembelajaran biologi. Searching the literature or research on learning practices oriented towards health literacy, especially through science-biology subjects in Indonesia, showed that the development and application of instructional design has not been widely produced. This study aimed to determine the feasibility of a biology learning web based on Socio-scientific issues (SSI) to be implemented in biology learning in high school.The method used was research & development. The study subjects consisted of 2 material experts, 2 media experts, 2 biology teachers, and 20 high school students. Data collection was carried out using assessment instruments and questionnaires. Qualitative data were analyzed descriptively qualitatively as media revision material and quantitative data using percentages for feasibility assessment.The result of this development research is a biology learning web based on SSI on the topic of the respiratory system to develop health literacy for high school students. The developed learning web has the feasibility criteria based on aspects of the essential concepts of biological material, information and language of biological studies, learning organization, and web presentation operation. It was Based on the results of assessments from material experts, media experts, biology teachers and limited trial test. Based on the results of the assessment, it can be concluded that the learning web developed is suitable for use in biology learning.

Abstract

Conservation education is one of the noble values that must be preserved and students can maintain the sustainability of biodiversity around them. This study aimed to develop an assessment instrument to determine the profile of conservation education and learning independence on biodiversity. This type of research is R D with a 4-D model. The population of the study is all students of grade 10 of State Senior High School 1 Godean and the samples used are grade 10D and 10F. The data collection technique used a five-question essay instrument sheet to determine conservation education and a Guttman scale questionnaire instrument to determine learning independence. The analysis technique used descriptive quantitative and qualitative. The results of this study were that the instrument was said to be good with revisions according to the construct validator. The validity of the question items showed that the essay questions were said to be valid, reliable, had a discriminatory power between good enough, and the difficulty level ranged from easy to moderate according to the empirical validator. The value of students' conservation education fell into the good category with a complete value achievement of 73%. Students' learning independence is also classified as very high, because all indicators are dominated by very high indicators. These results indicate that the profile of conservation education and learning independence of students at State Senior High School 1 Godean is classified as good and very high

Abstract

Purpose of the study: The research objective is to provide essential insights into students' self-regulation characteristics in border regions, which can inform strategic efforts to maintain and improve their capabilities as they navigate the challenges of the digital era. Methodology: This study used quantitative research with descriptive data analysis involving 198 students from three junior high schools in Nunukan Regency. Data was collected using a self-regulation questionnaire with a Likert scale, which measured four indicators: forethought, volitional control, motivation, and self-reflection. The data was then analyzed using score and average calculations to assess the students' self-regulation profile. Main Findings: The study findings reveal that the self-regulation profile of junior high school students in Nunukan Regency is generally in the high category, with an average of 77%. The motivation indicator reached the highest level at 81%, while volitional control was the lowest at 72%. Notably, differences in self-regulation levels were observed across the participating schools and grade levels. Novelty/Originality of this study: This study provides a comprehensive understanding of the self-regulation characteristics of students in the border area of Nunukan Regency, which can serve as a basis for developing more effective learning strategies and improving the quality of education in similar contexts. The findings offer valuable insights that can inform the development of targeted interventions and support systems to cater to the specific needs of learners in border regions as they navigate the challenges of the digital era.
