Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui keragaman dan kelimpahan Arthropoda predator pada tanaman kentang (Solanum tuberosum L.) yang ditumpangsarikan dengan beberapa tanaman aromatik. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode eksperimental dengan Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK), yang terdiri dari 4 perlakuan dan 6 dengan perlakuan P1= Monokultur kentang (Kontrol); P2= Tumpangsari kentang dengan kemangi; P3= Tumpangsari kentang dengan seledri; P4= Tumpangsari kentang dengan bawang daun.. Keragaman spesies Arthropoda predator tertinggi terdapat pada tumpangsari kentang dengan bawang daun yaitu 11 spesies, diikuti dengan monokultur kentang 9 spesies, tumpangsari kentang dengan kemangi 6 spesies, dan tumpangsari kentang dengan seledri 6 spesies. Kelimpahan Arthropoda predator tertinggi terdapat pada tumpangsari kentang dengan seledri yaitu 248 individu, diikuti dengan tumpangsari kentang dengan bawang daun 242 individu, monokultur kentang 203 individu, dan tumpangsari kentang dengan kemangi 191 individu. Indeks keragaman tertinggi terdapat pada tumpangsari kentang dengan kemangi (1.058) dikategorikan sedang, diikuti tumpangsari kentang dengan bawang daun (1.007) dikategorikan sedang, monokultur kentang (0.905) dikategorikan rendah, dan tumpangsari kentang dengan seledri (0.788) dikategorikan rendah. Indeks kelimpahan tertinggi pada setiap perlakuan adalah Coenosia humilis, Philonthus sp., dan Cheilomenes sexmaculata.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui keragaman, kelimpahan dan intensitas kerusakan pada tanaman kangkung air (Ipomea aquatica F.) di Kabupaten Lombok Barat. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif dengan pengamatan langsung di lapangan. Percobaan ini dilaksanakan pada bulan maret 2023 di Kabupaten Lombok Barat tepatnya pada 3 kecamatan yaitu Kecamatan Narmada, Lingsar dan Labuapi. Parameter yang diamati adalah populasi spesimen hama, indeks keragaman, indeks kelimpahan, indeks kemerataan, indeks dominasi dan intensitas kerusakan diperoleh 9 jenis spesies hama yang ditemukan pada tanaman kangkung air yaitu Pomacea canaliculata, Filopaludina javanica, Cassida circumdata, Epilachna varivestis, Oxya chinensis, Atractomorpha crenulata, Gampsocleis buergeri, Spodoptera litura, dan Spodoptera frugiperda. Spesies hama tersebut berasal dari 2 kelas yaitu Gastropoda dan Insecta, 4 ordo yaitu Architaenioglossa, Coleoptera, Orthoptera, Lepidotera, 7 famili yaitu Ampullariidae, Viviparidae, Chrysomelidae, Coccinellidae, Acradidae, Pyrgomorphidae, Notuidae. Indeks keragaman hama tertinggi pada tanaman kangkung air yaitu Pomacea canaliculata dengan indeks keragaman 0,316. Sehingga indeks keragaman dan kelimpahan hama secara umum pada tanaman kangkung air di Kabupaten Lombok Barat tergolong sedang. Intensitas kerusakan yang didapatkan sebesar 16,102% dari seluruh kecamatan menunjukkan tingkat serangan dengan kategori sedang.

Abstract

Desa Batu Kumbung merupakan salah satu desa di wilayah Kecamatan Lingsar, Kabupaten Lombok Barat, Provinsi Nusa Tenggara Barat. Desa ini dikenal dengan luasnya lahan pertanian, tanahnya yang subur, sumber air yang melimpah, dan iklim yang mendukung, sehingga berpotensi untuk mengembangkan budidaya tanaman hortikultura seperti sayuran dan berbagai macam buah-buahan. Budidaya tanaman hortikultura dapat dilakukan di lahan pertanaman dan lahan pekarangan sekitar tempat tinggal Masyarakat. Pemanfaatan lahan pekarangan sekitar di desa Batu Kumbung masih belum optimal. Lahan pekarangan sekitar rumah cenderung terbengkalai bahkan menjadi tempat menumpuknya sampah-sampah. Hidroponik adalah salah satu cara untuk memanfaatkan lahan pekarangan sekitar tempat tinggal warga desa Batu Kumbung. Mitra sasarannya adalah Masyarakat desa Batu Kumbung dengan jumlah peserta 63 orang. Tim Pengabdian Masyarakat Universitas Mataram 2023 mengedukasi Masyarakat dengan metode pelaksanaan mengadakan penyuluhan mengenai pemanfaatan lahan pekarangan dengan Dosen Fakultas Pertanian Universitas Mataram sebagai narasumber dan kemudian melakukan demonstrasi rancang bangun hidroponik serta menanam sayuran pakcoy bersama sama dengan Masyarakat yang merupakan mitra sasaran dari program kerja ini. Hasil dari kegiatan ini adalah meningkatnya kesadaran masyarakat tentang pentingnya memanfaatkan lahan kosong di sekitar untuk penanaman tanaman sayur-sayuran alternatif agar lahan pekarangan warga dapat dimanfaatkan sebagai media tanam menggunakan hidroponik dan dapat meminimalisir biaya pembelian sayur-sayuran

Abstract

The climate and regional conditions in Sembalun Lawang Village make it possible to cultivate various types of plants, both types of food crops and horticultural crops. Problems that are often encountered in crop cultivation are pests and diseases that damage cultivated plants, especially for horticultural crops. The use of chemical pesticides is a mainstay of farmers in dealing with pests and diseases. On the other hand, the use of chemical pesticides threatens environmental health. In addition, the stunting rate is also one of the problems in Sembalun Lawang Village. The solution that can be offered is the cultivation of Brazilian spinach organically, namely using compost, seeing that this Brazilian spinach cultivation technique does not require extra care so that it can minimize the use of chemical fertilizers and pesticides. Apart from that, Brazilian spinach has many benefits, one of which is that it contains magnesium which is good for bone growth and is good for preventing anemia. Then this Brazilian spinach can also be processed into various processed products that can be consumed by children such as porridge, pudding, smoothies and others which can reduce stunting rates. Apart from processed products that are consumed by children, there are also processed products that can be developed and become new businesses such as Brazilian spinach chips. Therefore, counseling activities on Brazilian spinach cultivation and the manufacture of preparations from Brazilian spinach are one of the things that must be done with the aim of increasing public knowledge and awareness so that they are wiser in using chemical fertilizers and pesticides and opening up opportunities for villagers to open new businesses. from processed Brazilian spinach. This activity was carried out on July 14th and 26th 2023 at Sembalun Lawang Village Office. This activity was attended by Sembalun Lawang Village officials, farmers, female cadres in each hamlet, and mothers with stunted children. This activity is carried out through lecture methods and direct demonstrations. The results of the training show that the community is interested in cultivating Brazilian spinach and interested in making processed products from Brazilian spinach.
