Abstract

Abstract ?  This study aims to explore how self-compassion shapes the experience of hospital nurses in Emergency Department (ED) in Jakarta. Previous studies demonstrated that the lack of self-compassion can increase compassion fatigue, thereby reducing the quality of services and eventually affect patients? well-being. Mixed-methods design was employed by collecting data from 77 nurses through convenient sampling. Two nurses with highest self-compassion scores and a nurse with lowest self-compassion score were interviewed for further analysis. The descriptive result indicated that self-compassion of ED nurses in Jakarta was considerably high and only one nurse had relatively low self-compassion. There was a significant difference in self-compassion based on working time and hospital types. Qualitative analysis indicated that under stressful circumstances, nurses with high self-compassion tended to engage with various religious activities, while the one with low self-compassion tended to be self-indulging.Abstrak ? Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi self-compassion perawat rumah sakit bagian Instalasi Gawat Darurat (IGD) di Jakarta. Studi sebelumnya menunjukkan bahwa kurangnya self-compassion dapat meningkatkan rasa lelah secara mental, sehingga menurunkan kualitas pelayanan rumah sakit dan dapat berdampak pada kesejahteraan pasien. Desain mixed-methods digunakan dengan mengambil 77 sampel perawat dari berbagai tipe rumah sakit melalui teknik sampel convenient. Dua perawat dengan self-compassion tertinggi dan satu perawat dengan self-compassion terendah diwawancarai untuk analisa data kualitatif. Hasil deskriptif mengindikasikan bahwa self-compassion perawat IGD di Jakarta tergolong tinggi dan hanya satu perawat yang ditemukan memiliki self-compassion rendah. Terdapat perbedaan signifikan mengenai self-compassion perawat berdasarkan lama bekerja dan tipe rumah sakit. Hasil kualitatif mengindikasikan bahwa ketika stres, perawat dengan self-compassion tinggi cenderung melakukan aktivitas religius, sementara perawat dengan self-compassion rendah cenderung melakukan self-indulgence.

Abstract

Penelitiau ini bertujuau untuk mengindentifikasikompetensi pedagogik guru dalam melakukan pengajarauWltuk siswa tunarungu. Penelitiau dilakukan di sebuah sekolah menengah pertama di Jakarta yaug merupakan sekolah reguler, namun memililci beberapa siswa tunarungu. Pendekatau yangdigWlakau adalah pendekatau kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Dalam pengurnpulan data, peueliti meuyebarkan kuesioner kepada 17 guru untuk mengidentifikasi tingkat kompetensi pedagogik mereka dalam melakukan pengajaran untuk siswa tuna rungu. Selain ito peneliti juga melakukan observasi, wawaucara dengan kepala sekolah sehubungan dengan kompetensi guru dalam mengajar siswa touarungu, dan wawancara kelompokdengan 3 orang guru yang teridentifikasi sebagai guru yangmemililci kompetensi pedagogik tingkat rendah dan sedang dalam mengajarsiswa tunarungu. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa 88% guru memililci kompetensi pedagogik tingkat sedang dalam mengajar siswa tunarungu. Hal illi dikarenakan kurangnya pengetahuan guru mellgenai karakteristik siswa twlarungu, yang berpengarub terhadap prinsip pembelajaran, pengembangan kurikulum, proses pembelajaran, penggunaanmedia teknologi dan illformasi, memfasilitasi siswa tnnarunguuntuk meningkatkan kemampuan belajar, komunikasi yang empatik dan efektif, serta pemberian unlpan batik dan evaluasi untuk meningkatkan proses pembelajaran siswa tunarungu.

Abstract

SLB E is a private school that provides educational services to blind and multiple blind students, from elementary school, junior high school, and senior high school. With the complexity of the dynamics of educational services needed, teachers in this school still need to have sufficient pedagogical, professional, social, and personality competencies. This activity aims to develop teachers' core competencies including pedagogical, professional, social, and personality competencies of teachers in SLB E which will have an impact on their understanding of the characteristics of MDVI students, how to handle and educate MDVI students, how to communicate assertively between fellow teachers and how to cope with stress. The needs analysis was conducted through questionnaires, interviews, observations, and focus group discussions. Based on the results of the needs analysis, a psychoeducation program was developed that targets the ability to understand students, understand learning materials, socialize with colleagues, and have a steady, stable, wise, and authoritative personality. These abilities are related to the four core competencies of SLB teachers, namely pedagogical, professional, social, and personality competencies. Evaluation was conducted using qualitative and quantitative methods to see the effectiveness of the psychoeducation activities conducted during the two-day event. In general, there was an increase in teachers' understanding and knowledge of pedagogical, professional, social, and personality competencies. Follow-up activities were conducted several months after the activity to see the long-term effectiveness of the activity. ABSTRAK SLB E adalah sebuah sekolah swasta yang memberikan layanan pendidikan pada siswa tunanetra dan siswa tunanetra ganda, dari jenjang Sekolah Dasar (SD), Sekolah Menengah Pertama (SMP), dan Sekolah Menengah Atas (SMA). Dengan kompleksitas dinamika pelayanan pendidikan yang dibutuhkan, guru yang mengajar di sekolah ini masih belum memiliki kompetensi pedagogik, profesional, sosial dan kepribadian yang cukup memadai. Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan kompetensi inti guru yang mencangkup kompetensi pedagogik, profesional, sosial dan kepribadian guru di SLB E yang akan berdampak pada pemahaman mereka akan karakteristik siswa MDVI, mengenai cara penanganan dan pendidikan siswa MDVI, cara berkomunikasi secara asertif antara sesama guru dan cara coping stress. Analisis kebutuhan dilakukan melalui kuesioner, wawancara, observasi, dan focus group discussion. Berdasarkan hasil analisis kebutuhan didapatkan disusunlah program psikoedukasi yang menyasar kemampuan memahami peserta didik, memahami akan materi pembelajaran, kemampuan sosialisasi dengan sesama rekan kerja dan memiliki kepribadian yang mantap, stabil, arif dan berwibawa. Kemampuan ini berkaitan dengan empat kompetensi inti guru SLB yaitu kompetensi pedagogik, profesional, sosial dan kepribadian. Evaluasi dilakukan dengan metode kualitatif dan kuantitatif guna melihat efektifitas kegiatan psikoedukasi yang dilakukan selama dua hari kegiatan. Secara umum, terdapat peningkatan pemahaman dan pengetahuan guru mengenai kompetensi pedagogik, profesional, sosial dan kepribadian. Kegiatan follow up dilakukan beberapa bulan pasca kegiatan guna melihat efektivitas jangka panjang dari kegiatan.
