Abstract

This study aims to analyze the level of digital literacy of millennial generation and how it affects their abilities in their learning process (self-regulated learning). Data were obtained through an online questionnaire distributed to students at several universities in Yogyakarta. The number of questionnaires that can be processed is 100 questionnaires. Furthermore, the collected data is then analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM). The results showed that the level of digital literacy of female students could be said to be higher than that of male students. However, both male and female students have not so high scores on the dimensions of critical understanding as one dimension of digital literacy. The results of this study also show that digital literacy has a positive effect on self-regulated learning.

Introduction to The Problem: Indonesia as the most populous Muslim country has huge potential of zakat collection. However, the zakat collection never meets its potential. Hence, the need for localization is critical in order to maximize the zakat collection. Objective Study: this paper attempt to develop the mosque-based zakat collection in order to maximize the potential of zakat.Methodology: based on literature review and empirical investigation, self-administered questionnaire is developed to collect the data. Hence, we use Partial Least Square Structural Equation Modelling (PLS-SEM) to analyze the data. The sample of this research is the mosque management (takmir masjid).Findings: This study found that service quality of zakat institution significantly influences the intention to distribute the zakat. While zakat distribution influences insignificantly to the intention to distribute the zakat. Meanwhile, trust moderates between zakat distribution from zakat institution to intention to distribute the zakat

Abstract

Research aims: This study is intended to determine the influence of perceived security and trust on the decision to use digital payment systems during the COVID-19 pandemic.Design/Methodology/Approach: The type of data used in this study was primary data, which was collected using an online survey. Sample used in this study determined by purposive sampling method. The information collected was handled and analyzed using SEM-PLS.Research findings: This study shows the results that the presence of technical protection explicitly affects the perception of security and trust significantly. In addition, security also greatly affects an individual's confidence in the use of digital payment systems. However, of the various findings made in this study, trust is the only one that influences the choice in using EPS.Theoretical contribution/Originality: During this pandemic Covid-19, limited studies talk about consumers’ perceptions instead of technical protection of digital payment in detail. Meanwhile, consumers' security is the thing that needs to be studied further to create a comprehensive study result.Practitioner/Policy implication: Results of this study give some implications for the EPS providers to complete and develop a secure EPS system for users, especially in this pandemic era when the EPS users increase and people’s mobility is restricted in some areas.Research limitation/Implication: The implication of this research is to emphasize the importance of one's knowledge regarding risks when using an electronic payment system. It is because the use of EPS in the pandemic era is unavoidable. Therefore, not only providers must improve their security systems, but users must also be aware of the EPS risks and security. Nevertheless, the limitation of this study is that it only used samples in Indonesia; maybe the results will be different when applied in other countries with better EPS security systems.

Design/methodology/approach: The type of data collected was primary data using an online questionnaire. The sampling method was purposive sampling technique. The collected data were then processed and analyzed using SEM-PLS. Research Findings: The results of this study indicated that workforce agility had a positive effect on innovative behavior. Digital literacy and psychological conditions also had positive effect on workforce agility. However, only psychological conditions had a moderating effect on the relationship between workforce agility and innovative behavior. Theoretical Contribution/Originality: The results of this study illustrates how workforce agility affects innovative behavior. The use of digital technology through good digital literacy will further encourage the creation of industrial innovations. Managerial Implication in the South East Asian context: Organisations should build massive collaboration among various industry players in all sectors, by encouraging workforce agility in order to create industrial innovations. Research limitation & implications: This study has uneven number of samples in each industry. Future studies can consider sampling where each industrial sector can have sufficient sample similarity so comparisons can be made.

Abstract

Research Aims: This study aims to analyse the role of work-family enrichment on emotional labour and the impact of emotional exhaustion during the COVID-19 pandemic. Design/methodology/approach: The type of data collected is primary data that uses an online questionnaire. The sampling method is a purposive sampling technique. The PLS-SEAM is used to analyse the collected data. Research Findings: Work-family enrichment and family-work enrichment had a positive and significant effect on emotional labour (surface acting and deep acting) and on emotional exhaustion. Theoretical Contribution/Originality: The results of this study show the importance of the role of work and family enrichment to employees during this pandemic. That is, work and family support can give positive energy to manage their unstable emotions and reduce or even prevent some people from emotional exhaustion. Managerial Implication in the South East Asian Context: Organisations should concern with friendly-family policies that can fulfil work-family enrichment of employees. Employees will be more loyal to work and be more vigorous and thrive in the workplace, so it can reduce turnover. Research limitation & Implications: This study has not classified the workforce based on the WFH policy. The respondents could not differentiate between those who were WFH and those who were not. There seems to be a possibility that this can also affect work-family enrichment and emotional exhaustion.

Abstract

This study examines the human capital drivers and how they contribute to service innovation in Indonesian Islamic banking. A questionnaire is used to gather data from a total of 225 Islamic banking employees, and then partial least squares structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM) is applied for data analysis. Moreover, the Maqashid Sharia concept from Abu Zaharah is used to enrich the study findings from an Islamic viewpoint. The findings reveal that human capital drivers comprising leadership strategies, employee engagement, and workforce optimization have both direct and indirect positive effects on service innovation. We believe that our key contribution to the work is providing a service innovation model, where the constructs in the framework employed so far have not been studied comprehensively in the context of Islamic organizations. Furthermore, the developed model integrates more relevant factors to the construction of a strategic human capital management system that can boost service innovation in Islamic banking.
