Theoretical Contribution/Originality: The results of this study show the importance of the role of work and family enrichment to employees during this pandemic. That is, work and family support can give positive energy to manage their unstable emotions and reduce or even prevent some people from emotional exhaustion. Managerial Implication in the South East Asian Context: Organisations should concern with friendly-family policies that can fulfil work-family enrichment of employees. Abstract

This paper aims to analyze the determinants of economic recovery in North Sumatra using district-based panel data from 2020-2022 using the Random Effect Model. Several variables derived from the implications of fiscal and monetary policies such as MSME credit access, inflation, the effectiveness of income spending, poverty, unemployment rate, and human development index were used to analyze economic recovery as proxied by GRDP per capita. Our findings indicated that the position of MSMEs' credit and relative poverty have a significant positive effect on economic recovery in North Sumatra. Conversely, the unemployment rate and human development index have a significant negative effect on economic recovery in North Sumatra. Inflation and the effectiveness of income spending have an insignificant effect on economic recovery in North Sumatra. These findings recommend that the government and the central bank should support increased access to MSME credit in terms of regulations, the availability of bank financial institutions, and allocations. In addition, it is crucial to maintain the effectiveness and increase indirect budget allocations for social fund posts that can be integrated with Islamic Social Funds such as Zakat, Infaq, and Shadaqah to address poverty and unemployment challenges to improve the community’s quality of life and accelerate economic recovery in North Sumatra.

Abstract

The research aims to examine the influence of perceived ease of use, perceived benefits, and perceived risk on the investment decisions of young entrepreneurs in Kudus Regency through online sharia Sharia mutual funds, with digital literacy and sharia Sharia financial literacy as moderating variables. The sample consisted of 143 young entrepreneurs who had invested in online Sharia mutual funds. This research uses quantitative methods to test pathways. The research results show that perceived ease of use, perceived benefits, and perceived risk positively and significantly influence young entrepreneurs' investment decisions in Kudus Regency. However, digital literacy does not moderate the influence of perceived ease of use on investment decisions. On the other hand, Islamic financial literacy weakens the relationship between risk perception and investment decisions. Limitations of this study include the focus on a specific demographic and geographic region, which suggests that future research could explore different populations or regions to increase generalizability.

Abstract

Digitalization has already penetrated all sectors of life and dominates business models. This study evaluates the extent to which small businesses should adopt digitalization. We focus on the cooperative's business model currently fighting with another fast-growing and popular business model, the start-up. Then, we used direct field research, including descriptive analysis and in-depth interviews with cooperatives in the Yogyakarta Special Region, Indonesia. We found that that the use of digital media by cooperatives in our study was minimal. From in-depth interviews, we found that some non-digital cooperatives insist on not using digitalization due to the lack of digital media penetration of their targeted customers and a preference for word-of-mouth marketing. One practical implication of this study is that digitalization depends somewhat on the addressed customer market model. Keywords: Digitalization, Cooperatives, Word of Mouth JEL: D22, G23, O14
