Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan mahasiswa dalam mata kuliah desain karoseri. Dengan dilakukan kegiatan ini akan diketahui tingkat keefektifan dari metode project based competition  dalam proses pembelajaran mata kuliah desain karoseri. Dalam proses pelaksanaan penelitian tindakan kelas ini terdapat dua siklus, yaitu: pembuatan desain secara umum dan pembuatan desain berdasarkan peraturan kompetisi. Kompetisi yang dibuat acuan dalam penelitian ini adalah peraturan perlombaan tractor design competition (TRADECTION). Adapun software desain yang digunakan yaitu antara lain AutoCAD, Inventor, Solidworks, Catia dan NX. Selain itu, dari hasil kegiatan ini akan mendapatkan desain kendaraan yang dapat di ikutkan dalam kompetisi desain. Hasil dari peniltian menunjukkan penggunaan metode project desain based on competition regulation dapat meningkatkan keaktifan mahasiswa sebesar 41,65%, meningkatkan perhatian mahasiswa sebesar 23,35%, meningkatkan ketetpatan waktu penyelesaian proyek sebesar 20,70% dan dapat meningkatkan kulaitas produk sebesar 28,02%.

Abstract

Abstrak Rozikin, Ahmad. 2020. Penerapan Peraga Simulator Injektor Untuk Meningkatkan Pemahaman Mahasiswa Pada Mata Kuliah Praktik Sepeda Motor dan Motor Kecil. Dr. Abdurrahman S.Pd., M.Pd. Program Studi Pendidikan Teknik Otomotif. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pertama kelayakan peraga simulator injektor dan kedua mengetahui peningkatan pemahaman mahasiswa terhadap penerapan peraga simulator injektor. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan Pre-Experimental Designs jenis One-Group Pretest-Posttest Design yaitu dengan membandingkan sebelum dan sesudah (before-after) diberikan perlakuan. Untuk menguji kelayakan peraga simulator injektor dilakukan validasi ahli media dan ahli materi baru disusul menguji peningkatan pemahaman mahasiswa menggunakan pretest dan posttest dengan metode tes. Hasil uji kelayakan alat/produk diperoleh nilai persentase 88% dari ahli media dengan kategori “Sangat Layak” dan untuk ahli materi diperoleh nilai persentase 75% dengan kategori “Layak”. Sedangkan peningkatan pemahaman mahasiswa diperoleh rata-rata pretest-posttest sebesar 20 atau 35,2% dan rata-rata uji N-Gain = 0,47 dengan kriteria peningkatan sedang. Hasil penelitian disimpulkan bahwa peraga/produk yang telah dirancang terbukti layak digunakan. Hal tersebut dibuktikan dari hasil uji validasi ahli media dan ahli materi. Sedangkan dari hasil nilai rata-rata pada tes sebelum dan setelah menggunakan peraga simulator injektor juga membuktikan bahwa adanya peningkatan pemahaman terhadap penerapan peraga simulator injektor. Peningkatan pemahaman mahasiswa dibuktikan dari nilai rata-rata uji N-Gain yaitu dengan kriteria peningkatan sedang. Kata Kunci: Penerapan peraga, Pemahaman, Hasil belajar, Simulator injektor. Automotive Engineering Education Study Program. The purpose of this study was to first determine the feasibility of the injector simulator model and second, to find out the improvement of students' understanding of the application of the injector simulator model. This research method uses Pre-Experimental Designs type One-Group Pretest-Posttest Design, namely by comparing before and after (before-after) given the treatment. To test the feasibility of the injector simulator demonstration, validation was carried out by media experts and new material experts, followed by testing the increase in student understanding using the pretest and posttest with the test method. The results of the tool / product feasibility test obtained a percentage value of 88% of media experts with the "Very Appropriate" category and for material experts, a percentage value of 75% was obtained with the "Feasible" category. While the increase in student understanding obtained an average pretest-posttest sby 20 or 35.2% and the average N-Gain test = 0.47 with the criteria for moderate improvement. The results of the study concluded that the demonstration / product that had been designed was proven worthy of use. This is evidenced by the results of the validation test by media experts and material experts. Meanwhile, the results of the average score on the test before and after using the injector simulator model also prove that there is an increase in understanding of the application of the injector simulator model. The increase in student understanding is evidenced by the average score of the N-Gain test, namely the criteria for moderate improvement. Abstract

Numerical ability in learning mathematics is an important thing for students to facilitate teaching and learning process. SAVI and SNAWBALLING are learning models that can facilitate the development of numerical abilities of students. The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of SAVI and SNOWBALLING learning models on the numerical ability of students. This research is a type of research Quasy Experimental Design. The sampling technique used was class random technique with row and series material. The instrument used to collect data was a numerical ability test in the form of a description item. The data analysis technique of this study used the T-Test analysis technique. The results of this study are that the two models do not have the same numerical ability of students, meaning that there are differences in the impact given by the SAVI learning model and the SNOWBALLING learning model on numerical ability. The numerical ability of students using the SAVI learning model is better than using the SNOWBALLING learning model.

Abstract

Background: The twenty-first century has been characterised by remarkable advances in technology, information, and communication, underscoring the importance of environmental and mathematical literacy in navigating this digital age.Aim: The study aims to investigate the influence of environmental and mathematical literacy on computer self-efficacy.Method: This study employed a quantitative methodology within a correlational research design, with a total of 47 secondary school students participating by random sampling. Regression analysis was used to analyse the data, revealing insightful findings on the relationship between environmental and mathematical literacy and computer self-efficacy.Results: After conducting the prerequisite checks for the regression test, it was determined that the feasibility of testing the hypothesis by the data, particularly through the regression test. In this study, the results showed that the relationship between environmental literacy and mathematical literacy with computer self-efficacy abilities is particularly significant. In fact, the study found that the combined influence of environmental and mathematical literacy on computer self-efficacy is stronger than its individual effects, suggesting a synergistic relationship between these types of literacy. Furthermore, mathematical literacy emerged with the highest average score of 62.070, followed by environmental literacy and computer self-efficacy abilities, which received average scores of 54.875 and 55.953, respectively.Conclusion: In summary, the study underscores the significant positive impact on the relationship between environmental and mathematical literacy on computer self-efficacy among secondary school students. By improving environmental and mathematical literacy, educators and researchers can empower students with the skills and competencies necessary to navigate the digital landscape with confidence and proficiency.

Abstract

The decline in students' interest in learning Biology has become a recurring issue at the senior high school level, including at SMA Negeri 8 Surabaya. This study aims to analyze the implementation of the scientific approach in Biology instruction as an effort to enhance students' learning interest. The scientific approach emphasizes the processes of observing, questioning, experimenting, reasoning, and communicating, and is expected to create active, creative, and meaningful learning experiences. The research method used is classroom action research (CAR), conducted in two cycles. The research subjects were 11th-grade science students at SMA Negeri 8 Surabaya. Instruments used included observation sheets, learning interest questionnaires, and documentation of students' learning outcomes. The results showed that the implementation of the scientific approach significantly increased students' learning interest, as indicated by improved participation in discussions, persistence in completing assignments, and increased learning interest questionnaire scores from cycle I to cycle II. These findings suggest that the scientific approach is not only curriculum-relevant but also effective in creating a learning environment that fosters students’ emotional and intellectual engagement. Therefore, it is recommended that this approach be widely adopted in Biology instruction as well as in other subjects at the secondary education level.
