Abstract

The Central Bureau of Statistics reports that there is currently more waste in Indonesia for four reasons: (1) Indonesia now has a population of 261.89 million, up from 206.26 million in 2000; (2) Economic growth is accelerating, with the industrial sector contributing 2,739.4 trillion to GDP in 2014; (4) The development of people's consumption habits. This increased from only 2,739.4 trillion in 2000. This condition causes an increase in waste in terms of quantity, type, and quality. Waste problems also occur in Sipak Village. The lack of facilities and equipment to handle waste in Sipak Village, as well as the lack of community understanding of environmental management and sanitation, especially related to waste, are some of the causes of the accumulation of waste. Solutions that we can provide to our partners in this service activity include inviting the community to clean up the surrounding environment and providing waste management advice, establishing a waste bank, and processing waste into products that have selling value such as handicrafts, bricks, paraffin, and fuel (BBM).

Abstract

Soil is no longer the primary medium for economical environmental initiatives. Urban gardening is a technique that uses hydroponics. Hydroponic plant cultivation can have an environmental and economic impact if taken seriously. According to the scenario study, housewives dominate in Pamulang Hill 3 Phase 2, Rawakalong, Gunung Sindur, and Bogor. They have enough time to do things that can generate additional income. This program aims to teach the women how to use the hydroponic system to grow gardens or vegetables. In hydroponic farming, the nutritional needs of plants are met by using water or nutrient-rich mineral solutions instead of soil. Urban locations with limited land can benefit greatly from this hydroponic farming technique. The long-term effect of this service is higher income and well-being

Abstract

Significant differences between Islamic Economic System and Conventional Economic System should generate differences between sharia market and conventional market. Conventional market clearly is influenced by interest rate and speculation that is normal in Conventional Economic System. But, interest rate and speculation are prohibited in Islamic Economic System. Sharia market should be free of interest rate and speculation. In fact, by bivariate and multivariate analysis, financial market indicates that there are strong correlations between sharia market and conventional market. This fact is based on research on Indonesia Stock Exchange data from December 2006 to November 2016 (ten years). Sharia market is represented by Jakarta Islamic Index (JII) and Indonesia Sharia Stock Index (ISSI). Both of them have strong and positive correlation with Jakarta Stock Exchange (JSX) Composite Index or with Jakarta Stock Exchange Liquid (LQ45) Index. Jakarta Composite Index and LQ45 are classified as conventional market. These conditions indicate that sharia market goes together with conventional market in the same character. Is sharia market inconsistent with its sharia principles? Why sharia market is not running on the track?

Abstract

Background. This study examines Netflix’s crisis leadership by integrating crisis leadership theory, dynamic capabilities, and Situational Crisis Communication Theory (SCCT) across four major crises (2000, 2011, 2020, 2022). Methods. A qualitative single-case critical review design is employed. Data include SEC filings, shareholder letters, earnings calls, Investor Relations materials, and relevant international business journalism. Result. Analysis combines heuristic tracing of crisis trajectories with directed qualitative content analysis (Schreier’s coding frame) to reconstruct 14 crisis decisions and assess propositions P1–P4. Findings indicate: the 2000 financial crisis triggered a subscription pivot and a “simplicity–accessibility” identity anchor that aligned early responses under time pressure (P1); the 2011 Qwikster backlash was contained through rapid rollback, public apology, and reunified customer experience, restoring the service’s value frame (P2); the 2020 pandemic disruption was addressed via global–local resource orchestration, release rescheduling, and remote post-production/localization to sustain content supply continuity (P3); and the 2022 subscriber decline prompted monetization reset (AVOD, paid sharing), phased market roll-out, and a shift in performance metrics legitimized through fairness–access–transparency framing (P4). Conclusion. The study’s main contribution is the CDB framework, conceptualizing high-velocity, centrally orchestrated crisis decision bundles that coordinate cross-domain actions and legitimacy framing, turning crises into catalysts of digital platform business-model transformation.
