Abstract

This research is based on information from the IT division regarding non-performance of implementation since the use of HIS at RSU Bhakti Asih began in 2005 until 2022, which has changed three times and none of the implementation achievements for the three HIS have ever reached 100 percent. The aim of this research is to empirically reveal the influence of training and utility on intention to use HIS with work motivation as a mediating variable. This type of research is quantitative with a causality design. The population used is health workers consisting of outpatient nurses, inpatient nurses, emergency room nurses, pharmacy departments, laboratory departments and radiology departments. The sampling technique used proportional sampling, with calculations using the Slovin formula with an error rate of 5 percent, so that the sample size was determined to be 175 respondents. Data collection analysis techniques use survey methods, and data analysis techniques use SEM with the help of the Lisrel program and three box method analysis. The results of the analysis prove that training and utility influence the intention to use HIS with work motivation as a mediator, training influences utility, training and utility influence work motivation and intention to use HIS, and work motivation influences intention to use HIS and is also able to provide positive intervention on the influence training and utility on intentions to use HIS, so that with work motivation, the effectiveness of training and utility will be higher in increasing intentions to use HIS.

Abstract

The growing rate of nurse turnover is unavoidable and inevitable. Nursing considered one of the most stressful occupations in the health industry. Unfortunately, there are limited studies published in Indonesia that explain this phenomenon among clinical nurses. This study aims to describe the nurse job satisfaction and turnover intention at public hospitals from workloads and burnout perspective. The design used in this study was quantitative with the survey approach. The data were collected by using simple random sampling from the hospital (cluster B) nurses with the total participant was 190 nurses. The result of this study shows that workload and burnout affect job satisfaction directly. The mediator role of job satisfaction in the effect of workload and burnout on turnover intention is significantly proved. Interestingly, this study failed to prove the effect of workload on turnover intention which means that although many nurses experienced a heavy workload, the majority of nurses in this study feel that the workloads are still reachable or even low due to their young aged. They tend to keep the job since it’s difficult to find any other opportunities. They will intend to leave their job only if they experienced a greater level of burnout and disenchantment.

Abstract

Background: People with different characteristics are very selective in choosing hospital health services. People would select the hospital with modern, best medical facilities and trained doctors who offer high-quality services consistently. However, having a successful hospital and able to attract patients back is difficult, especially in the context of limited relevant literature. Objective: This study aimed to analyze the effect of brand image and perceived medical quality on intention of re-visit with word of mouth as mediation variable among patients in Sari Asih Cipondoh Hospital, Tangerang. Method: We conduct the cross-sectional study to examine the causalities of independent variable with dependent variable. One hundred seventy-five patients were recruited in this study especially those who have visit the hospital at least once within two year. The Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) using Partial Least Square (PLS) approach was applied to analyze the data. Result: The results showed that brand image and perceived medical quality had a positive influence on word of mouth and the intention to hospital re-visit and word of mouth had an impact on the intentions to re-visit hospital. Implication: A good hospital brand image perception is enough for the patient to encourage the intention to visit again. Medical quality is considered important to hospitals, as patients can enjoy it immediately, especially in increasing the intention to visit again. In addition, patients will be more confident to use health care if word of mouth is high

Abstract

The implementation of electronic medical records through the Hospital Management Information System Generic Open Source (SIMRS-GOS) Version-2 (V2) developed by Indonesian Ministry of Health has been implemented since 2012. The data shows that the failure rate in using information systems in developing countries is quite high due to the quality and reliability of the system, people and support from the organization. The aim of this research is to analyze the implementation of SIMRS-GOS at three interrelated levels namely human-technological-organizational factors and their benefits on the quality of electronic medical records. The research design uses a quantitative exploration. The research subjects consist of doctors, nurses and midwives, totaling 235 respondents. The data is obtained through a questionnaire. Statistics analysis uses structural equation modeling. The research results show that there is a significant positive influence among human factors, organizational factors and user satisfaction on behavior intentions; use behavior towards net benefits; net benefits and technology factors on user satisfaction; technological factors and net benefits on behavior intentions through user satisfaction; use behavior towards user satisfaction through net benefits. There is a very strong significant correlation among the three human-technology-organization factors and finally there is a significant influence of net benefits on the quality of electronic medical records. Based on these results, it is concluded that the implementation of SIMRS-GOS is acceptable to users at Brebes District Public Hospital. It is also considered successful and has implications for the quality of electronic medical records.

Abstract

Workplace accidents in hospitals can arise from human or environmental factors, highlighting the necessity of implementing Hospital Occupational Safety and Health (HOSH) measures. Preliminary study at X Hospital shows that work-related accidents persist, with the majority leading to physical injuries. This study aims to observe the impact of HOSH knowledge and the work environment on nurse workplace accidents, with safety behaviors serving as a mediating factor. The research utilizes a quantitative survey method with a cross-sectional design. A total of 123 nurses participated in the study. An analysis using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) was conducted to assess the statistical impact. The findings indicate that improving Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) knowledge and enhancing the work environment can significantly reduce workplace accidents. The mediating role of safety behaviors further amplifies this effect. Both HOSH knowledge and the work environment have a positive significant impact on safety behaviors, while HOSH knowledge, the work environment, and safety behaviors each have a negative significant impact on workplace accidents
