Abstract

This study aims to assess and provide information on how big the dominance and association of trees in IUPHHK-HTI PT. Bhatara Alam Lestari area. The problem in this research is the existence of human activities in managing the forest excessively, the forest was converted to a lot of plantations and agricultural areas and the occurrence of illegal forest clearing, feared loss of forest vegetation in the area. The research method used was plotted path mixed method with the laying of the purposive sampling path, the observation variable was the entire growth rate of the seedling, stake, pole, and tree levels. Based on the results of research there were 51 species of trees, 7 species of which were trees that entered into the group of Kayu Indah. Based on the results of research conducted it could be concluded that the type of dado, embun, jungkang, kayu malam and ubah were the dominant vegetation type for seedling level. Type of embun, jungkang, kayu malam, medang, nyatoh and ubah were the dominant vegetation type for stake level. Type of dado, embun, jungkang, kempas, petai, rengas and ubah were the dominant vegetation type for pole level. Type of jungkang, kayu malam, medang, ubah were the dominant tree for tree level. While the Ochiai index of kayu malam species had a negative relationship to the 3 dominant tree species, because the value of the Ochiai index was closed to 0.Keywords: Association, Dominance, Kayu Indah, Secondary Forest.

Abstract

This study aims to examine and analyze the principal's strategy in improving the quality of teaching staff during the pandemic at Sambalagi Elementary School from the principal's strategy, the quality of teaching staff and the principal's policy regarding the pandemic. The object of this research is the principal and teachers at Sambalagi Elementary School. This research uses qualitative research. Data collection methods were carried out by means of observation, interviews and documentation. Data analysis through the process of collecting informants, reducing data, presenting data and drawing conclusions and verification and testing data validity through data triangulation (sources, techniques and time). The results showed that: 1) the principal's strategy is carried out by carrying out quality improvement of teaching staff in three months once a week followed by two teaching staff (teachers): 2) the current quality of teaching staff at Sambalagi Elementary School still needs to be improved: 3) the principal's policy regarding the covid-19 pandemic is to continue carrying out activities by complying with health protocols, namely wearing masks, washing hands, and maintaining physical distancing

Abstract

Landslides in Bone Bolango Regency have increasingly impacted the population, with data showing a rise in affected areas from 2020 to 2021. To mitigate these risks, mapping areas with potential landslides is crucial for providing early warnings, although such efforts remain incomplete. Therefore, this research aims to determine the potential for landslides in Bone Bolango Regency, especially in Suka Damai Village. The geophysical method used in this research is the geomagnetic method because it utilizes the magnetic properties of rocks below the surface and can interpret subsurface structures in areas with the potential for landslides. Based on the research results, it was identified that the research location is dominated by diorite and granodiorite igneous rocks, where diorite rocks dominate from the surface to a depth of 40 meters with a susceptibility contrast value of 3 – (2.5) SI. Meanwhile, granodiorite rocks are found at a 20 – 110 m depth with a susceptibility value of 1.5 – 3 SI. Based on 3D visualization, it was found that diorite rock acted as landslide material, and granodiorite rock acted as sliding rock. Besides that, material movement forms slopes caused by shear failure that occurs along one or more landslide planes. This research confirms that the research area is a potential landslide area with a level of stability in category D, which means it is less stable.
