Abstract

This research aims to enhance learning motivation, material selection and student’s process of Education, Program Study of Mechanical Engineering, second semester in 2006/2007 of academic year, Department of Mechanical Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, State University of Jakarta, by using question and answer method with reward. Used kind of research is class action research. This research uses two cycles preceded by preliminary research. Both these cycles, each consisting of four stages, namely: planning, implementation, observation and reflection. Conducted action taken is by providing rewards for student participation in learning activities. Awards given to each of cycles are different, in the first cycle the awards given are additional value, meanwhile on the second cycle are certificate. Awards obtained from scoring on the observed activity. Application of the method of conversation with rewards obtained there is increasing of learning activity significantly, students become more active and the situation of learning more dynamic and fun. Increasing of student motivation is also indicated by an increase in the value of the test cycle. The average value of the introduction is 4.22 increasing at cycles I to 5.64. Meanwhile, to increase the second cycles to 7.02. beginning by the execution of this research, the use of learning methods of material selection and appropriate process is necessary in order to create a dynamic learning activities and conducive, so it is expected to get better learning results.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertolak dari permasalahan yang ada di SMK Jakarta 1. Berdasarkan pengamatan awal menunjukan adanya masalah dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran teori mesin bubut. Salah satu penyebabnya yaitu metode yang digunakan pendidik dalam menyampaikan informasi dan materi tidak sesuai yang dikarenakan hanya memakai metode ceramah (teacher centered). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran project based learning terhadap hasil belajar siswa. Pada penelitian kali ini, peneliti menggunakan metode eksperimen (one group pretest-posttest design) dengan pendeketan kuantitatif yang terdiri dari populasi berjumlah 27 siswa. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan adanya peningkatan hasil belajar siswa. Dari hasil penelitian diperoleh rata-rata nilai pre test 40 dan post test 84. Analisis uji hipotesis menggunakan uji-t dengan hasil t-hitung sebesar 21,36 dan t-tabel pada taraf signifikan 0,05 sebesar 1,708, maka t-hitung > t-tabel. Dengan demikian H0 ditolak yang berarti bahwa penggunaan model pembelajaran project based learning menunjukkan adanya pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap hasil beelajar siswa kelas XII pada mata pelajaran Teori Mesin Bubut.

Abstract

In Indonesia, only 48% of vocational teachers demonstrate limited readiness to integrate Artificial Intelligence into learning. Addressing this issue requires a reliable instrument to evaluate prospective teachers' preparedness. This study developed and validated an instrument based on the Technology Acceptance Model to assess the digital competencies of Mechanical Engineering pre-service teachers in Indonesian vocational education. The research quantitatively evaluated four constructs: Perceived Usefulness, Perceived Ease of Use, Behavioral Intention, and Self-Efficacy. Involving 100 respondents from a community service program, the development followed three stages: preparation, expert content validation using Aiken’s V, and construct validation via Exploratory Factor Analysis. Results confirmed unidimensional structures for all constructs. Perceived Usefulness and Perceived Ease of Use showed strong validity with high eigenvalues (4.984 and 5.063) and explained variance (49.8% and 50.6%). The Kaiser-Meyer-Olkin measure confirmed sampling adequacy (0.833–0.909). Aiken’s V analysis indicated high content (0.83), construct (0.81), and linguistic validity (0.85). Key findings highlight deficiencies in Artificial Intelligence tool proficiency, emphasizing the need for curriculum alignment with Industry 4.0 demands. This study provides a validated tool to guide teacher training and policy, effectively addressing the digital divide in vocational education and bridging a critical gap between theory and practice.
