Abstract

Employability skills should be a necessity for every TVET graduate. The need for the employability skills is very important in order to prepare TVET graduates in entering the labor market. The purpose of this study is: (1) to verify indicators of employability skills needed by TVET graduates and, (2) to produce proposals for employability skills frameworks for TVET graduates. This article reviews various relevant literature in order to explore the needs of appropriate employability skills. The results of the literature review show the employabilty skills needed by TVET sorted according to rank, namely; Social Skills, Knowledge in the Field of Engineering, Communication Skills, Information and Technology Skills, Management Skills, Creative and Innovative, Problem Solving and Critical Thinking. The implications of this literature review provide information and recommend a set of frameworks for academics to improve the employability skills of TVET graduates.

Abstract

3D Printing merupakan salah satu terobosan bidang manufaktur khususnya teknik additive manufacturing, yang proses menjadikan dalam file digital menjadi suatu objek padat 3 dimensi berdasarkan susunan lapisan (layer) bahan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah merancang mesin 3D Printing dengan model siste cartesian dan pengujian sistem menggunakan aplikasi repitier host. Penlitian menggunakan jenis penelitian Design-Based-Research (DBR).  Hasil penelitian di jabarkan sebagai berikut; (1) proses perancangan desain mesin 3D printing didapatkan hasil area kerja panjang 30 cm lebar 30 cm dan tinggi 30 cm, sehingga dari rencana area kerja tersebut bisa ditentukan komponen mekanis, komponen rangka utama dan komponen pelengkap lainya. (2) Software repitier host dapat digunakan sebagai simulasi model cartesian. Repitier dapat digunakan cocok digunakan menggunakan bahan dari Polilactid Acid (PLA) dan hasil warna yang lebih sempurna dan beragam. (3) Pada hasil pengujian terdapat stringing pada hasil simulasi produk, hal ini disebabkan karena pengaturan retraksi dan suhu temperatur yang tinggi

Abstract

Abstract: This research was initiated by the factors of poor indoor air quality conditions. So that it can cause Sick Building Syndrome (SBS) or sick building syndrome. The purpose of this research is to measure the picture of air quality conditions in non-slum rooms. The sample in this study was Pasteur Village RW6, Sukajadi District which was selected based on criteria, namely including non-slum areas, as well as high community participation. The research method used was cross-sectional. The results showed an overview of indoor air quality in non-slum dwellings, humidity was above the required standard, thus triggering fungal growth rates that exceeded normal limits. The temperature parameter is in the required category, but based on the findings, some people are uncomfortable with the room temperature in the house. The Formadehilda and VOC parameters are within normal limits, this is indicated because most people do not use chemical products, rarely smoke in the house, and rarely start motorized vehicles in the house.Keywords: Indoor Air Quality, Sick Building Sindrome (SBS) Abstrak: Penelitian ini diawali oleh faktor kondisi kualitas udara di dalam ruangan yang buruk. Sehingga dapat menyebabkan terjadinya Sick Building Syndrome (SBS) atau sindrom bangunan sakit. Tujuan peneltian ini adalah untuk mengukur gambaran kondisi kualitas udara di dalam ruangan non kumuh. Sampel pada penelitian ini adalah Kelurahan Pasteur RW6, Kecamatan Sukajadi yang dipilih berdasarkan kriteria yaitu termasuk kawasan non kumuh, serta partisipasi masyarakat yang tinggi. Metode Penelitian yang digunakan adalah cross-sectional. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan gambaran kualitas udara di dalam ruangan pada rumah tinggal non kumuh, kelembaban berada di atas standar yang dipersyaratkan, sehingga memicu tingkat pertumbuhan jamur yang melampaui batas normal. Parameter suhu berada dalam kategori yang dipersyaratkan, namun berdasarkan hasil temuan sebagian masyarakat kurang nyaman dengan suhu ruang pada rumah tinggal. Parameter Formadehilda dan VOC berada pada batas normal, hal tersebut diindikasikan karena sebagian besar masyarakat tidak menggunakan produk-produk kimia, jarang melakukan aktivitas merokok di dalam rumah, serta jarang menghidupkan mesin kendaraan bermotor di dalam rumah. Abstract

Abstract - This research is motivated by the poor air quality in the room at home that can cause Sick Building Syndrome (SBS). The purpose of this research is to increase public awareness of the environment through indoor air quality workshops, with a Pre-Experimental method and One Group Pre-Test Post-Test research design. The sample in this study was Pasteur RW6, Sukajadi District at Bandung City, which was selected based on criteria including non slum areas, as well as high community participation. The results showed that the level of public awareness, knowledge, attitudes, and actions on air quality in the room before the Workshop was in the medium category. Then it increased after the Workshop, which was on a relatively moderate increase in knowledge. This can be seen from the majority of people who already know the importance of indoor air quality, but the knowledge of specific components that affect indoor air quality is still not understood. Whereas attitudes and actions experienced a relatively small increase due to the knowledge gained in the Workshop not being implemented in the form of real attitudes and actions in daily life because people's habits are difficult to change. Keywords – Environmental Awareness, Indoor Air Quality, Workshop, Community Awareness

Abstract

Poros utama mesin bubut kayu merupakan salah satu komponen penting pada mesin bubut kayu. Poros utama dihubungkan dengan pencekam dan motor lisrik. Tujuan dari pembuatan poros utama mesin bubut ialah untuk lebih mengoptimalkan fungsi dari mesin bubut kayu. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan Dari hasil yang diperoleh hasil: (1) Poros utama Poros utama dapat menggerakkan pencekam sesuai dengan kecepatan yang telah ditentukan mengalami kemiringan posisi; (2) Proses pembuatan poros utama mesin bubut kayu sederhana yaitu: proses pemotongan (sawing) - proses pembubutan (turning) meliputi pembubutan facing, pengeboran senter, pembubutan rata, pembubutan bertingkat, dan pembubutan chamfe dan pembuatan ulir luar secara manual dengan snei; (2) Waktu yang diperlukan dalam membuat poros utama mesin bubut kayu sederhana yaitu 137 menit atau 2 jam 17 menit.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melakukan pengujian dalam meninjau perubahan sifat mekanik dan struktur mikro yang terjadi pada daerah metalurgi las material pipa baja. Pengujian yang dilakukan menggunakan uji komposisi Spektro Kimia, Analisa Struktur Mikro dengan Metalografi dan pengujian kekerasan menggunakan metode Vickers. Proses friction welding yang digunakan menggunakan mesin bubut. Hasil menunjukan material sampel uji adalah baja karbon rendah memiliki kandungan karbon sebesar 0,193%. kekerasan menunjukkan peningkatan kekerasan di daerah HAZ dan Weld Metal (logam lasan) dibanding dengan base metal (logam induk), harga kekerasan pada BM adalah 161,3 VHN, pada HAZ 164,1 VHN serta WM 167,6 VHN. Selain itu, pada pengujian metalografi struktur mikro terjadi perubahan diameter butir pada daerah metalurgi las serta pengelasan friction welding dengan mesin bubut dapat merubah sifat mekanik pada daerah metalurgi las.

Abstract

The Open Educational Resource (OER) is a source of digital learning materials that can be accessed, used, and distributed by everyone and is copyright licensed. This study aims to conduct a systematic library review in investigating the impact of Open Educational Resource (OER) implementation on student learning outcomes, the impact of OER on costs for students and learning challenges using OER. The method used in this study is Systematic Literature Review (SLR). This paper presents a publication review paper (2015-2020) or the last 5 years on OER. The article search process uses search techniques using the keywords OER (Open Educational Resource), Open Educational, and MOOCs (Massive Open Online Course) on those from reputable article databases. The selected article is then sorted by the inclusion criteria process and the findings are synthesized to answer the problem formulation. The findings suggest that the effectiveness of OER learning and conventional textbooks has no significant differences, both of which have the same learning outcomes. In terms of costs, OER has an impact on saving students’ money. The challenge of learning in the future is the need for intensive support for teachers so that there is no longer a gap in teacher understanding related to OER. The role of librarians is required to collaborate in developing, modifying, and distributing OER, as well as in advocating to support the appropriate use of OER between teachers, students, and institutions. Research has implications as a strong foundation in designing and implementation strategies related to OER in education.

Abstract

The impact of covid-19 has caused learning methods to change to online learning. The purpose of this study was to measure new students' perceptions of online learning. This study uses survey methods and data collection in the form of an instrument with a Likert scale. The purposive sampling technique was chosen with the criteria of new students from the class of 2020 with a sample of 132 respondents. Analysis of quantitative data using descriptive statistics and qualitative data using summary analysis of the results. Furthermore, the triangulation process method was used to combine quantitative data and qualitative data. The results showed that new students did not experience difficulties in carrying out online learning. The majority of FIK students use CeoLMS. The theory and assistance courses are subjects that are considered difficult by students, but the material presented by the student lecturers is satisfied. The obstacle that often occurs is signal stability, but the effectiveness of online learning can run well, although there must be several aspects that must be improved. The implications of this research can be used as a basis for evaluating learning so that FIK can improve the quality of online learning in the next academic year.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kekerasan dan struktur mikro dari dua jenis Padlock Key yang berbeda. Metode penelitian menggunakan jenis penelitian eksperimen. Penelitian eksperimen dipilih bertujuan untuk membandingkan dari dua jenis Padlock Key yang sering digunakan masyarakat. Padlock Key merk Soligen dan Padlock Key merk ATS digunakan sebagai spesimen uji. Berdasarkan hasil pengujian kekerasan metode Vickers dan Metalografi pada Padlock Key Soligen dan Padlock Key ATS hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan nilai kekerasan. Pada spesimen Padlock Key Soligen memiliki nilai kekerasan 231 VHN sedangkan Padlock Key ATS 230. Nilai ini menunjukkan bahwa material batang Padlock Key pada kedua merk tersebut tidak memiliki perbedaan yang signifikan, hanya selisih 1 angka. Hasil uji metalografi membuktikan bahwa struktur mikro kedua spesimen memiliki persamaan. Fasa yang terjadi Pearlite dan Pearlite. Butiran pada kedua katup berdimensi halus. Secara terpisah, spesimen Padlock Key ATS terdapat banyak butiran hitam, hal ini kemungkinan proses pembuatan batang Padlock Key G2 hasil daur ulang. Sebaliknya, butiran hitam tidak terjadi pada Padlock Key Soligen.

Abstract

Over time, the number of motorized vehicles has increased significantly, this is in line with the need for vehicle maintenance, namely vehicle washing, especially cars. But on the other hand, there is a risk of danger that occurs in the car wash process. This study aims to identify potential hazards in the work process at a car wash. The type of survey research, the method of the assessment process refers to the Australian/New Zealand standard (AS/NZS 4360:2004). The results showed the highest level of risk in the car washing process at Car Wash "X" which was in stage 4, namely cleaning under the car and stage 1 parking the car with the Very High category. Stage 5 cleans the engine and stage 3 cleans the car body in the Substantial category. Stage 2 releases the car in the Priority 3 category. And the lowest level of risk is at stage 6, namely Finishing in the Acceptable category. Recommendations that can be given to Car Wash business actors are workers must use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in the form of boots, gloves when washing to avoid chemical liquids that cause skin irritation. In addition, the placement of the car washer is placed parallel to the worker so that when turning on the machine it is easy and ergonomic. In addition, in the construction of the floor to be designed with a rougher roughness so as not to slip easily due to a wet floor.
