Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) learning model and Field Visit Techniques in Biotechnology learning for class IXC students of SMP Negeri 7 Sukabumi City in the 2022/2023, in terms of: (1) student learning motivation, (2) student learning outcomes in biotechnology learning by using Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) learning models and Field Visit Techniques. The research population was 25 class IXC students. The instruments used were student activity observation sheets and learning achievement tests. The data analysis technique uses a comparative descriptive analysis of test results between cycles with predetermined work indicators. The research results show that the effectiveness of the Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) learning model in science learning for class IXC students at SMP Negeri 7 Kota Sukabumi in the 2022/2023 academic year is effectively applied in learning. This research has obtained information regarding the effectiveness of the Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) learning model in biotechnology learning for students in IXC class, SMP Negeri 7 Sukabumi, in the 2022/2023 academic year.

Abstract

The aim of the research is to foster students' interest in learning in Class IX A of SMP Negeri 7 Sukabumi City through optimizing learning in the laboratory. This experimental research was carried out in class IX A of SMP Negeri 7 Sukabumi City in 2024/2025, consisting of 28 students, 15 male students and 13 female students. This research was carried out for 13 days from August 8-20, 2024. The research results proved that "Optimization of Practical Learning in the Laboratory can be achieved. "Growing Students' Interest in Learning", especially science subjects in class IX A of SMPN 7 Sukabumi City.Before the action, students' interest in learning was still categorized as low, from the results of the initial survey, students' interest in learning only reached 46.4%, with the criteria of 5 indicators of interest in learning, namely feelings of joy, interest, attention, participation, desire/awareness of science learning. After the action, interest in learning science in class IX A reached 64.8%.

Abstract

Abstrak: Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui apakah model pembelajaran quantum learning dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa dan keterampilan proses sains siswa pada mata pelajaran IPA di kelas VIIIB SMP Negeri 7 Kota Sukabumi. Penelitian ini merupakan Penelitian Tindakan Kelas. Penelitian dilaksanakan di SMP Negeri 7 Kota Sukabumi kelas VIIIB pada semester I Tahun Pelajaran 2016/2017. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIIIB SMP N 7 Kota Sukabumi berjumlah 30 orang , yang terdiri dari 14 siswa laki-laki dan 16 orang siswa perempuan. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah 1) penerapan model pembelajaran quantum learning dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran IPA khususnya Standar Kompetensi Memahami sistem dalam kehidupan tumbuhan, Kompetensi Dasar mengidentifikasi struktur dan fungsi jaringan tumbuhan dan mendeskripsikan proses perolehan nutrisi dan transformasi energi pada tumbuhan hijau (fotosintesis) pada siswa kelas VIIIB SMP Negeri 7 Kota Sukabumi. 2) Penerapan model pembelajaran quantum learning dapat meningkatkan Keterampilan Proses Sain (KPS) siswa pada mata pelajaran IPA khususnya Standar Kompetensi memahami sistem dalam kehidupan tumbuhan, Kompetensi Dasar mengidentifikasi struktur dan fungsi jaringan tumbuhan dan mendeskripsikan proses perolehan nutrisi dan transformasi energi pada tumbuhan hijau (fotosintesis) pada siswa kelas VIIIB SMP Negeri 7 Kota Sukabumi.
