Abstract

This study aims to explore the interconnection between gender equality, education, and the workforce of Generation Z in Japan, South Korea, and Indonesia, focusing on their roles in sustainable development. With rapid technological advancement and globalization, Generation Z is expected to be the primary driver of future labor markets. However, challenges related to gender inequality, education gaps, and labor market readiness persist in these countries. This paper reviews recent literature to identify existing research gaps, particularly the lack of comprehensive studies integrating gender equality, education, and workforce development within the framework of sustainable development. Previous studies have focused on individual aspects, but there is limited research that holistically examines these factors across multiple countries with differing socio-economic contexts. By employing a qualitative approach, this study analyzes secondary data, government reports, and interviews with experts to examine how gender equality, educational access, and workforce preparedness can contribute to the achievement of sustainable development goals in these three nations. The research hypothesis suggests that inclusive education and stronger gender equality policies will improve the workforce readiness of Generation Z, ultimately accelerating sustainable development in Japan, South Korea, and Indonesia. The findings of this study aim to provide actionable policy recommendations to promote gender equity, educational inclusivity, and labor market readiness, thereby enhancing the long-term sustainability of these countries.

Abstract

Kompetisi Unggul Anak Cerdas Islami (KUACI) adalah ajang kompetisi yang dirancang untukmengembangkan potensi intelektual dan spiritual anak-anak dalam kerangka pendidikan Islam.Kompetisi ini bertujuan untuk memperkenalkan, menanamkan, dan menguatkan nilai-nilai keislaman melalui berbagai kegiatan edukatif yang berfokus pada pembelajaran Al-Qur'an, tafsir, danajaran-ajaran Islam lainnya yang sejalan dengan prinsip-prinsip syariat Islam. Selain sebagai sarana pengembangan akademik, kegiatan ini juga bertujuan untuk menganalisis dampak kompetisi terhadap perkembangan karakter, moralitas serta pengetahuan agama para peserta. Metodeyang digunakan dalam artikel pengabdian ini adalah ABCD (Asset Based Community Development). Pendekatan ini merupakan pendekatan yang dilakukan dengan tujuan untuk memperkuatpembelajaran agama sejak dini dan mengenali kemampuan anak agar mampu menggali potensidiri dan memanfaatkan asset institusi yang dimiliki di wilayah tempat tinggalnya, sehingga dapatmembawa sebuah perubahan yang menjadi tujuan sejak awal. Hasil dari pelaksanaan lombaKUACI menunjukkan bahwa kompetisi ini tidak hanya meningkatkan prestasi akademik anakanak, tetapi juga memperkuat integritas moral, spiritualitas, dan kedewasaan karakter. Oleh karena itu, KUACI memberikan sumbangan yang besar dalam membentuk generasi muda yang tidakhanya pintar secara intelektual, tetapi juga berakhlak mulia, memiliki rasa tanggung jawab sosialserta siap menghadapi tantangan dunia modern dengan landasan nilai-nilai Islam yang kokoh,dan sesuai dengan tuntunan agama.

Abstract

Writing is one of the productive skills that must be mastered by students learning English as a Foreign Language (EFL), especially Indonesian learners. However, many students still struggle with writing, resulting in low self-confidence. This research examines using the LearningApps.org website as a learning medium to teach students' writing skills, emphasising descriptive texts. The study used a quasi-experimental method with seventh graders at MTs Ma'arif NU 2 Cilongok Banyumas, with two groups of 44 students, the experimental and control classes. The data were gathered from pre- and posttests and then analysed using descriptive statistics, Mann-Whitney, and the N Gain test. According to the results, the experimental group, which utilised the LearningApps.org website, had a greater average posttest score (54.57) than the control group (43.33). In the Mann-Whitney test, the significance value is 0,005. The experimental group also had a greater N-gain percentage (34.09%) than the control group (11.08%). Although the results indicate that it is ineffective, the positive impact of using the LearningApps.org website is evident. These results suggest that the LearningApps.org website is a valuable and practical tool for supporting students' writing development in descriptive texts.
