Abstract

AbstractThis background of this researchers to find musical structures accompanied by Bakoncong dance of the Badamea Dayak tribe of Senatab Village, Sajingan Besar District, Sambas Regency. The problem of this research were "What is the structure of the accompaniment of Bakoncong dance of the Dayak Badamea tribe, The design of the implementation of the structure of music accompaniment to the Bakoncong dance in class VIII cultural arts subjects. This research method was an exploratory descriptive method. The form of this research was qualitative. The approach of this research was ethnomusicology approach. The data of this study were the results of interviews, observations, documentation. The data collection techniques of this study were observation, direct communication and documentary studies. The research data collection tool were the researcher as the main instrument, observation guidelines and documentation tools. Checking the validity of the research data were an extension of observation and triangulation of techniques. The data analysis technique of this research were the analysis during data collection analyzed after data collection. The results of this study were describing the accompaniment of music structure of Bakoncong dance, understanding of Bakoncong, and musical instrument. The design of the implementation of the accompaniment of music structures in the Bakoncong dance on class VIII cultural arts subjects. Keywords: Accompaniment music, Bakoncong dance, Structure of music.

Abstract

 AbstractThis research based on the researcher interest to Dayak Kanayatn Bawakng music and the perseption that so many Dayak Kanayatn people didn’t know about 7 kind of Bawakng music. The purpose of this research are: 1) to analyze the musical text which are the form and the music element of Dayak Kanayatn Bawakng Music, 2) to analyze musical context in the form of function and value of Dayak Kanayatn Bawakng music. The method that used in this research is descriptive qualitative and used musicology and anthropology approach. Data that contained in this research is the result of interview to the interviewer who mastered Dayak Kanayatn Bawakng music. Data were analyzed qualitatively, with Ferdinan, S.Sn (Dayak Kanayatn music observer), Drs. Kesimen (culture observer), Yupiter Bujakng Pabaras (traditional musician) and some people who active and know about Dayak Kanayatn Bawakng music. Based on the data analysis we can conclude that Dayak Kanayatn Bawakng music is the shortest music pattern among the other Dayak musics in Kalimantan Barat (maybe in all region of Kalimantan). This music is Pentatonic Unhemietonic scale (music without half range note). Bawakng music has a unique syncopation pattern (berumbal/betingka) that refers to one main motive pattern in Dau We’.  Keywords: Analyze, Bawakng music, Dayak Kanayatn, West Borneo.

Abstract

 AbstractTanjidor is a kind of entertainment bersiafat artistry Betawi folk orchestra, which uses western musical instruments, especially wind instruments. Tanjidor originally developed from landhuis environment. This art entered West Kalimantan around the 16th century through the trade at the time. This art is played to enliven a variety of events such as weddings, circumcisions, and events such as birthdays governance Pontianak. This study was to determine objectively clarity about the arts tanjior in Pontianak. The method used in this research is descriptive. Forms of research used in this research is a form of qualitative research. The research subjects were the players Tanjidor in Pontianak. The results showed that the presence of musical arts tanjdor in Pontianak is as follows: factors that encourage the existence of musical arts tanjidor in Pontianak is factor artist changes in the society Factors inhibiting presence tanjidor musical arts in Pontianak is The element of art dating from the West. Changes in agrarian society to industrial. Measures to overcome barriers to the existence of musical arts tanjidor in Pontianak Regarding the readiness of the Indonesian nation in the face of modernization.)
