Abstract

The ensemble learning approach, especially in classification, has been widely carried out and is successful in many scopes, but unfortunately not many ensemble approaches are used for the detection and classification of epilepsy in biomedical terms. Compared to using a simple bagging ensemble framework, we propose a fusion bagging-based ensemble framework (FBEF) that uses 3 weak learners in each oracle, using fusion rules, a weak learner will give results as predictors of the oracle. All oracle predictors will be included in the trust factor to get a better prediction and classification. Compared to traditional Ensemble bagging and single learner type Ensemble bagging, our framework outperforms similar research in relation to the epileptic seizure classification as 98.11±0.68 and several real-world datasets

Abstract

One of the causes of people being exposed to the Covid-19 virus is the spread of the virus through the air. To prevent this, it is necessary to sterilize so that the virus in the air can be neutralized. One of the technologies that can be used to disinfect the air so that the air is free from the Covid-19 virus is Ultra Violet (UV) light. UV rays have radiation that is quite harsh, so when exposed to human skin continuously can cause damage to skin tissue. The service team developed a remote-control robot that can replace humans to carry out the disinfection process in a room by utilizing UV light. The area where congregational prayers were held at the Masjid Agung, Central Java (MAJT) visited by no less than 100 people every day. The robot was effectively able to operate well in the disinfectant process. This phase 1 prototype has a height of 48 cm and expected to be developed again so that it can reach higher places and can reduce the risk of spreading the Covid-19 virus.

Abstract

Sensor LiDAR sering digunakan dalam sistem pemetaan karena tingkat akurasi yang tinggi. Sensor ini juga sering digunakan pada kendaraan dan robot untuk mengukur jarak antara titik pusat dan objek di sekitarnya. Dalam sensor lidar 360°, data diambil saat sensor lidar berputar satu putaran penuh, sehingga mampu memetakan lingkungan 360° secara keseluruhan. Pada penelitian ini, peneliti menggunakan sensor lidar 360° yang dipasang di atas robot beroda untuk memetakan ruangan. Namun, untuk melakukan pemetaan ruangan secara lengkap, pembacaan Odometry pada robot beroda juga diperlukan. Peneliti membahas pembacaan sensor Gyroscope dan rotary encoder untuk mendapatkan posisi x dan y pada robot beroda, serta pemetaan ruangan menggunakan data x dan y yang diperbarui dengan informasi dari sensor Gyroscope dan rotary encoder. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pembacaan Odometry dari sensor Gyroscope dan rotary encoder menghasilkan error RMSE sebesar 13.40 cm pada sumbu x dan 10.63 cm pada sumbu y. Sedangkan error RMSE pada pemetaan adalah -6.932 cm pada koordinat x dan -1.41 cm pada koordinat y.

Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic that has occurred to date has resulted in the loss of many lives. This is due to the ease with which the COVID-19 virus spreads. According to the latest research published by the WHO, the virus can spread through the medium of objects, one of the easies object to spread virus is money. The spread of the COVID-19 virus can be done through money transactions that have previously been used by people infected by the virus. This is because COVID-19 virus can survive for more than 72 hours. To prevent this, it is necessary to sterilize so that the virus in the money can be neutralized. The technology that can be used for disinfection in this tool is Ultra Violet (UV) light and Ozone Generator. Many studies have shown that UV rays and ozone gas (O3) are able to kill viruses that are on the surface of objects. The ability of UV rays and ozone gas (O3) can kill viruses in money because UV rays and ozone gas (O3) have radiation that is quite harsh, so that if exposed to human skin continuously it can cause damage to skin tissue. In this study, to overcome this problem, a device that is automatically able to carry out the disinfection process in the room is made by utilizing UV light. Infaq Sterilization Box with UV and Ozone (BIUZ) can kill viruses in money, it is also easy to operate and safe. The size of the tool made is adjusted to the object or partner of the research activity, namely the Central Java Great Mosque Manager (PP MAJT). The need for partners is that the tool is able to carry out the sterilization process of infaq money provided by the congregation, both in the form of paper and coins effectively.

Abstract

Social robots are increasingly being integrated into educational environments to support learning and engagement. However, most existing systems lack the adaptability required to respond appropriately to dynamic human behavior in real-time classroom settings. This paper presents an adaptive learning framework for social robots that utilizes visual and proximity sensor data to perceive human spatial context and adjust interaction strategies accordingly. A Deep Q-Network (DQN)-based reinforcement learning algorithm is employed to map environmental states to socially appropriate actions such as maintaining distance, initiating interaction, or retreating. The robot was trained in a simulated classroom environment consisting of dynamic student agents with randomized behaviors. Experimental results show that the robot achieved a cumulative reward improvement of over 500%, reduced its average distance error from 0.45 m to 0.18 m, and increased its interaction success rate from 50% to 88% over 100 training episodes. These results confirm the effectiveness of the proposed model in enabling real-time behavioral adaptation. The framework contributes to the development of context-aware, socially intelligent robotic systems capable of enhancing Human-Robot Interaction (HRI) in educational applications. Future work includes extending the model to incorporate emotional cues and real-world validation with physical robot platforms. Abstract

Battery temperature plays a vital role in determining the performance, safety, and lifespan of lithium-ion batteries in electric vehicle (EV) applications. This study presents a simulation-based approach for monitoring surface temperature using Kalman filter estimation, which integrates air temperature, current load, and battery characteristics. A mathematical model of thermal dynamics is developed and used for real-time temperature prediction. The results demonstrate that the Kalman filter is effective in estimating the surface temperature accurately, even with uncertain measurements. This work also discusses the integration of an actuator (fan/cooler) and PID control to maintain the temperature around the ideal level of 25°C, showcasing the potential of this system for smart thermal battery management in cost-constrained embedded systems.   Keywords - Temperature Monitoring; Kalman Filter; Thermal Modeling; Estimation Algorithm; State Estimation; Simulation;

Abstract

Tingkat kepadatan penduduk yang cenderung tinggi sejalan dengan proses pembangunan yang juga semakin cepat. Hal itu menyebabkan adanya perubahan pola penggunaan lahan, sehingga ruang – ruang alami terdesak karena beralih fungsi menjadi ruang terbangun seperti area pemukiman. Permasalahan tentang keterbatasan lahan sebagai ruang alami tersebut, dapat diselesaikan dengan menggunakan teknik bercocok tanam pada media terbatas seperti aquaponik. Metode ini dinilai tepat dikarenakan dapat disusun bertingkat/vertikal. Masalah yang dihadapi oleh warga Pendrikan Kidul adalah terkait dengan semakin sempitnya area terbuka hijau yang dapat dimanfaatkan sebagai lahan produktif. Berkurangnya lahan terbuka hijau diakibatkan lahan – lahan tersebut beralih fungsi menjadi rumah-rumah penduduk dan sebagainya. Selain itu juga adanya keterbatasan pengetahuan dari warga sekitar, yang belum memahami bagaimana inovasi dan terobosan yang dapat dilakukan untuk memanfaatkan lahan yang terbatas menjadi lahan produktif. Dari permasalahan tersebut, diharapkan dengan adanya metode pemanfaatan lahan  sempit menggunakan sistem Aquaponic nantinya akan dapat meningkatkan daya inovasi, produktifitas dalam bidang pertanian, meningkatkan penghasilan, serta meningkatkan swasembada pangan bagi warga Pendrikan Kidul. Rencana pengabdian ini juga sekaligus mendukung program dari Pemerintah Kota Semarang yang disampaikan oleh Bapak Walikota, bahwa mulai Oktober 2018 hingga April 2019 mendatang akan diadakan lomba “Kampung Hebat”, yang salah satu kategorinya adalah “Kampung Bersih dan Hijau.
