Abstract

This study aims to determine the relationship between Self-Efficacy on Student’s Achievement Index. This study is a quantitative research type ex post facto. The study sample was determined by proportionate cluster random sampling. Study data consisting of student self-efficacy data and student’s academic achievement index data were each tested for their homogeneity and normality using SPSS and it was found that the data distribution was normal and homogeneous. Data that has been tested for homogeneity and normality are then tested for correlation with the Pearson correlation test obtained results of 0.62 with a significance of 0.0641 < 0.05 ie there is a strong relationship between student Self-Efficacy with student achievement index or it can be mentioned that there is no significant relationship between Self-Efficacy with the academic achievement index of Faculty of Teacher Training and Education at the Malikussaleh University in the 2018/2019 academic year.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui hasil belajar siswa dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning dengan pendekatan saintifik pada materi Suhu dan Kalor. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah Quasi Eksperimental. Proses pengambilan sampel secara purposive sampling. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan tes hasil belajar, penilaian afektif dan psikomotorik. Teknik analisis data menggunakan Independent sample Test. Hasil penelitian diperoleh signifikansi = 0,000 yang berarti nilai signifikansi 0,000 < 0,05. Hasil penilaian afektif  pada pertemuan pertama diperoleh rata-rata sebesar 82, pertemuan kedua sebesar 83, dan rata-rata pertemuan ketiga sebesar 84. Hasil penilaian psikomotorik pada pertemuan pertama diperoleh rata-rata sebesar 81, pertemuan kedua sebesar 86, dan rata-rata pertemuan ketiga sebesar 89. Hasil analisis respon siswa terhadap Problem Based Learning diperoleh persentase sangat setuju (SS) sebesar 59%, setuju (S) 30%, tidak setuju (TS) 8%, dan sangat tidak setuju (STS) sebesar 3%. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning dengan pendekatan saintifik terhadap hasil belajar siswa pada materi suhu dan kalor.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengukur Keterampilan Proses Sains (KPS) yang merupakan  keterampilan penting dalam praktikum pada materi sains. KPS yang tinggi menunjukkan bahwa mahasiswa telah mencapai tujuan pembelajaran yaitu penguasaan konsep yaitu materi elektonika dasar. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain One-Shot Case Study yaitu menerapkan project base learning (PBL) dalam merangkai rangkaian elektronika sederhana. Selanjutnya mengukur KPS mahasiswa berdasarkan soal KPS yang diberikan pada akhir pembelajaran. Purposive sample digunakan adalah mahasiswa fisika yang mengambil Mata kuliah elektronika dasar sebanyak 30 orang. KPS mahasiswa yang diukur meliputi mengidentifikasi variabel, mengungkapkan pengertian variabel, menginterpretasi data, mengklasifikasi data, menghubungkan antar data, memformulasikan model, menarik kesimpulan, dan menyatakan praduga sementara. Hasil penelitian menujukkan bahwa KPS mahasiswa secara keseluruhan 80.0 ± SD 7.886 atau berada dalam kategori baik. Kata Kunci : Keterampilan Proses Sains, Rangkaian elektronika, Project Base Learning

Abstract

Penelitian ini berdasarkan siswa kurangnya minat belajar dalam pembelajaran berlangsung, dikarenakan guru di sekolah tersebut masih menggunakan metode ceramah, sehingga siswa  tidak dilibatkan dalam mengambangkan keterampilan generik sains, bahwasanya keterampilan dasar sudah ada pada diri seorang siswa sehingga proses belajar kurang efektif hal inilah yang dapat berpengaruh terhadap diri seorang peserta didik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran Predict Observe Explain (POE) terhadap keterampilan generik sains pada materi getaran harmonik sederhana kelas X di MAS Syamsuddhuha. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif. Penelitian ini menggunakan jenis penelitian quasi eksperimen (eksperimen semu) dengan desain pretest-posttest control grup design. Populasi pada penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas X MAS Syamsuddhuha. Pengambilan sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas X IPA 1 sebagai kelas eksperimen (model POE) dan siswa IPA 3 sebagai kelas kontrol (model direct instruction). Data yang diperoleh di analisis menggunakan Sofware MS Excel 2007 dan SPSS Versi 26. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa nilai rata-rata posttest kelas eksperimen sebesar 58,5 dan nilai rata-rata pada kelas kontrol sebesar 34,0. Dari data peroleh nilai rata-rata posttest kelas eksperimen lebih baik dari pada  kelas kontrol. Uji hipotesis dilakukan menggunakan menggunakan compare means independent sampel t-test pada nilai posttest kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol diperoleh nilai signifikan 0,00 < 0,05. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data posttest diperoleh bahwa kedua kelas memiliki keterampilan generik sains yang berbeda secara signifikan setelah diberikan perlakuan, maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh lebih baik model pembelajaran Predict Observe Explain (POE) terhadap keterampilan generik sains pada materi getaran harmonik sederhana kelas X di MAS Syamsuddhuha.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the increase in students' mastery of concepts in Newton's Force and Lawmaterial by applying the Discovery Learning model to 10th grade students of Public Vocational School 1Bireuen. The research used was quasi-experimental research with Pretest-Posttest Group Design. Datawas collected in 10th grade TKRO (Automotive Light Vehicle Engineering) as an experimental class with38 students and 10th grade TBSM (Motorcycle Business Engineering) as a control class with 38 students.Data obtained from the results of this study using SPSS for Windows Version 18. Based on the results ofdata analysis to see the results of mastery of students' concepts obtained an average value of 85.16 and thecontrol class average value of 79.95. Data obtained from the test results are used to test the researchhypothesis using the Independent Sample T-test and N-Gain test. From the results of the analysisobtained from the results of the Independent Sample T-test results of the initial and final test valuesobtained tcount> ttable is 3.901> 1.992 with sig (2-tailed) of 0.00 lower than 0.05. The N-Gain value in theexperimental class was 42.24%. Whereas the control class was 38.96%. The results of the analysis ofstudent responses using the Discovery Learning model obtained the percentage of strongly disagreeing at8.2%, disagreeing at 12.3%, agreeing at 48.1%, and strongly agreeing at 31.2%. Based on the results of thestudy it can be concluded that with the Discovery Learning model the mastery of students' conceptmastery especially on Newton's Force and Law material is more improved than using conventionallearning models
