Abstract

This study aims to determine The Correlation between Interpersonal Communication and Optimism with Adversity Quotient for Non-Permanent Employees of the Medan Tourism Polytechnic. The hypothesis proposed is there is a correlation between Interpersonal Communication and Optimism with Adversity Quotient for Non-Permanent Employees of the Medan Tourism Polytechnic. The sample in this study amounted 65 respondents. The sampling technique using total sampling. The data collection method is a Likert scale of interpersonal communication, optimism, and adversity quotient. Data analysis uses multiple linear regression analysis models. The results of this study are: 1. There is a positive and significant correlation between interpersonal communication and adversity quotient. This is indicated by the correlation coefficient (R) = 0.407 with p = 0.001 <0.05. Based on the results of this study, the first proposed hypothesis was declared accepted. 2. There is a positive and significant correlation between optimism with adversity quotient. This is indicated by the correlation coefficient (R) = 0.461 with p = 0.000 <0.05. Based on the results of this study, the second proposed hypothesis was declared accepted 3. There is a positive and significant correlation between interpersonal communication and optimism with adversity quotient. This is indicated by the correlation coefficient (R) = 0.626 with p = 0.000 <0.05. Based on the results of this study, the third proposed hypothesis was declared accepted. It is known that the subjects of this study, Non-Permanent Employees of the Medan Tourism Polytechnic have high interpersonal communication, low optimism, and low adversity quotient.

Abstract

This study aims to investigate the influence of competency on work engagement, with self-efficacy serving as a mediating variable, among Muslim teachers in Tanjung Morawa. The study's population comprised 230 teachers. A total sampling technique was employed, resulting in a sample size of 230 individuals. The research adopted a quantitative methodology, utilizing the Competency Scale, Work Engagement Scale, and Self-Efficacy Mediation Scale as measurement instruments. Data analysis was conducted using multiple linear regression tests. The findings of this study indicate that self-efficacy (Z) significantly mediates the relationship between competency and work engagement. These results underscore the importance of competency and self-efficacy in enhancing teachers' work engagement. Therefore, efforts to improve teachers' competency and self-efficacy can be considered effective strategies for increasing work engagement. The implications of this study also provide training programs and interventions that are more focused on enhancing competency and self-efficacy in the workplace context

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the relationship between job satisfaction, work environment, and personnel happiness. The method used is quantitative descriptive correlative type, which takes samples using proportional random sampling totaling 109 people. In collecting data, it used instruments of job satisfaction, work environment, and personnel happiness, then tested it with multiple linear regression formulas. The results of the research data analysis show there is a relationship between job satisfaction and personnel happiness. There is a relationship between the work environment and personnel happiness, and there is a relationship between job satisfaction and the work environment with personnel happiness. Seeing the relationship between job satisfaction and work environment with personnel happiness, it is hoped that the leadership of Tebing Tinggi Police Station will pay attention to providing increased awareness that supports the creation of happiness in personnel members. These theoretical findings can be used to develop empirical quantitative research in psychology.
