Abstract

This study aims to determine employee perceptions about workplace conflict in SofyanInn Hotel Rangkayo Basa Padang, which includes three indicators of labor conflict, namely: emotion (emotion), values (values) and interest (interest). This type of research is descriptive quantitative research. The study population was the employees SofyanInn Hotel Rangkayo Basa Padang except manager. Employees SofyanInn Hotel Rangkayo Basa Padang totaled 27 permanent employees and 5 daily worker, so that the total population of 32 people. The sampling technique in this research is non probability sampling is saturated sampling a total of 32 employees. The data collection techniques with indirect communication by distributing a questionnaire (questionnaire) in the form of Likert scale that has been tested for validity and reliability. The results showed that the general perception of a conflict of employees working in SofyanInn Hotel Rangkayo Basa Padang belong to the category of poorly with the average value of 115.44 which was in the range 88,1≤X <117.3. While based on individual indicators, namely: 1) Emotion (emotion) employees SofyanInn Hotel Rangkayo Basa Padang belong to the category of poorly with an average value of 61.44 is in the range of scores 50,1≤ X <66.6, 2 ) Values (value) Basa Rangkayo employees SofyanInn Hotel Padang classified in the category quite well with an average value of 39.06 is in the range 34,7≤X score <43.2, 3) Interest (interest) employees SofyanInn Hotel Rangkayo Basa Padang belong to the category of poorly with an average value of 14.94 is in the range 12 scores ≤ X <15.9.

Abstract

Kemampuan pemahaman konsep adalah sebuah kompetensi dimana harus dikuasai siswa kelas IV SD dalam mata pelajaran matematika dengan baik. Tujuan dalam penelitian ini agar dapat mengetahui kemampuan pemahaman pada siswa kelas IV. Siswa cenderung sulit memahami materi bangun ruang karena kurangnya kemampuan siswa belajar aktif disebabkan guru masih kurang efektif dalam menggunakan model pembelajaran. Model pembelajaran digunakan untuk mengatasi permasalahan tersebut. Peneliti menggunakan metode penelitian deskriptif kualitatif, hal ini supaya peneliti dapat menjelaskan dan memperbaiki kualitas pembelajaran khususnya pada kemampuan pemahaman konsep materi bangun ruang. Berdasarkan penelitian diperoleh hasil skenario pembelajaran kemampuan pemahaman konsep pada siswa SD kelas IV melalui peningkatan persentase ketuntasan siswa yang signifikan dari jumlah hasil 62% golongan kurang baik menjadi 82% pada hasil golongan sangat baik. Respon guru menyatakan peneliti sangat baik dalam mengajar kemampuan pemahaman melalui model soal cerita. Respon siswa menyatakan sangat menyenangkan karena siswa mampu mempelajari bangun ruang berdasarkan kejadian yang telah dihadapi siswa pada kehidupannya. Kesulitan siswa SD kelas IV dalam menyelesaikan tugas-tugas dalam kemampuan pemahaman konsep terdapat pada indikator pemahaman konsep dalam pemahaman konsep bangun ruang balok. Kata Kunci: Pemahaman Konsep, Bangun Ruang, Matematika.

Abstract

Academic stress among adolescents is a growing concern, with parenting style identified as one of its key external determinants. This study examined the effects of authoritarian, authoritative, and permissive parenting styles on academic stress among high school students in Medan. A quantitative approach with a correlational design and multiple linear regression analysis was employed. Participants were 198 students selected from a population of 462 students at Perguruan Buddhis Bodhicitta Medan using disproportionate stratified random sampling. Data were collected using a parenting style scale based on Baumrind's theory and an academic stress scale based on Lazarus and Folkman's theory, both demonstrating adequate validity and reliability. The results showed that parenting styles simultaneously had a significant effect on academic stress (F = 63.020; p < 0.05; Adjusted R² = 0.486). Partially, authoritarian and permissive parenting styles had a positive and significant effect, whereas authoritative parenting showed no significant effect. These findings suggest that controlling and autonomy-restrictive parenting tends to exacerbate adolescent academic stress, while warm and responsive parenting functions as a protective factor. This study underscores the critical role of parenting practices in shaping adolescents coping capacity toward academic demands.
