Abstract

Abstract. Innovative behavior (IB) is imperative in ensuring organization innovation succeed but the measurement of IB is still at an evolutionary stage. Most literature treats IB as a single construct, ignoring its muldimensionality. Drawing from studies that indicating IB as a multidimensional, this study empirically examines and validates the dimensionality of IB construct and suggests a refined angle in seeing the process of individual innovation. Paper based and online survey completed by 211 employees from six industries in Indonesia and analyzed using confirmatory factor analysis (CFA) and structural equation modeling (SEM). Findings demonstrating initial supports that IB can be considered as a multidimensional, as three dimensions model shows a better fit model than two and single model. It may suggest IB dimensions can be seen overlapped each other, not only as different stages as commonly understood. Convergent and discriminant validity were evidenced, consistent with previous study. Managerial and theoretical implications in managing individual innovation, including the future research directions are also discussed.Keywords: Innovative behavior, multidimensional construct, convergent, divergent validity, structural equation modeling Abstrak. Perilaku inovatif (PI) penting dalam memastikan kesuksesan inovasi organisasi namun pengukuran PI masih belum berkembang. Kebanyakan literatur menganggap PI sebagai konstruk tunggal, bukan sebagai multidimensional. Berdasarkan studi-studi yang mengindikasikah bahwa PI adalah multidimensi, studi ini secara empirik menganalisa dan memvalidasi dimensionalitas konstruk PI dan menyarankan perspektif baru dalam melihat proses inovasi individu. Survei dilakukan secara manual dan online pada 211 karyawan dari enam industry di Indonesia dan dianalisa dengan menggunakan confirmatory factor analysis (CFA) dan structural equation modelling (SEM). Temuan studi ini menunjukkan dukungan awal yang mendukung bahwa PI bisa dianggap sebagai konstruk multidimensi, karena model dengan tiga dimensi menunjukkan model fit yang lebih baik ketimbang model dengan dua dan satu dimensi. Ini menunjukkan bahwa dimensi IB bisa saja saling tumpang tindih, tidak hanya sebagai tahpaa yan berbeda seperti selama ini dipahami. Analisis validitas convergent dan discriminant yang dilakuan konsisten dengan studi-studi terdahulu. Implikasi manajerial dan teoretikal dalam mengelola inovasi individu, termasuk arah studi masa depan juga didiskusikan.Kata kunci: Perilaku inovatif, konstruk multi-dimensi, convergent, validitas divergen, structural equation modeling

Abstract

Using Instagram as a marketing tool requires online shop owners to build Customer engagement with followers so that their business can be sustainable. High engagement on Instagram can help online shops increase their sales and dig up more information about consumers' desires by doing various interactions using features found on Instagram. This study describes several efforts in building Customer engagement through social media called Instagram which is carried out by four online shop owners who sell their own products. The results showed by maximizing the use of Instagram features and applied the Customer engagement concept which are Content engagement  (context and communication) Media engagement, and Engagement marketing activities (collaboration and connection) are the effort to build customer engagement which turned out to sales’s increase.

Abstract

Abstract. This paper represents one effort to systematize the use of terminology of entrepreneurial behavior and innovative behavior and to clarify how they relate each other. A clearly stated set of relationship and dynamics on these two concepts is necessary for scientific understanding, explanation and prediction. An agreed-upon relationship between entrepreneurial behavior and innovative behavior makes it easier for investigators to build on each other’s work, and for practitioners to decide whether research finding are applicable to them. Author first reviews some of the existing definitions on entrepreneurial behavior and innovative behavior and illustrates how they are mutually explaining and overlapping. Various terms used to describe the phenomena of interest are clarified. Endorsing, refining, and shepherding entrepreneurial opportunities are more related to idea generation phase of innovative behavior. While the other behaviors, identifying, acquiring and deploying resources needed to pursue entrepreneurial opportunities are more related to idea implementation phase of innovative behavior. Using the theory of socio-cognitive approach, pattern recognition and regulatory focus, the study details the discussion and concludes the overlap between entrepreneurial behavior and the innovative behavior. Abstract

The increasing issue of climate change has led to growing interest in sustainability especially for business. Consumers and people in general, have become more aware and concerned about their environmental footprint, which put pressure for businesses to develop and implement a comprehensive climate strategy which are included in the company’s sustainable strategy. The study on sustainability and sustainable business strategy has been increasing. However, in Indonesia this topic is relatively new and unexplored, thus it needs further discussion. This study examines the sustainable business strategy in a Fast-Moving Consumers Goods manufacturing company in Indonesia. The questions asked in this research include the company’s stage on sustainability effort and whether the company’s sustainable strategy has an impact in terms of the triple bottom line aspects of sustainability. The sustainability dimensions in the form of triple bottom line is explained as a basis for analysis. The study uses qualitative method using document analysis and interview to examine the stage of sustainable business strategy. The results suggested that the company’s sustainability effort is considered as holistic approach. It also suggests that the company’s effort in sustainability contribute to the economic well-being of the company and the stakeholders as well as social and environmental contribution. This research is expected to give a glimpse of the Indonesian manufacturing company’s effort on sustainable business practice which can be used as an inspiration for other companies in the same industries or by other industries to follow and implement a sustainable business strategy of their own.

Abstract

Managers face various challenges and difficulties at work, especially in dealing with changes. The adverse events can be compounded when personal problems also put additional pressure on the manager. The compassionate leader can function to alleviate the stress. This study shows how leading with compassion, where leaders are sensitive to problems, feeling those difficulties, and are motivated to help. By referring to the positive organization literature, aspects, and processes of compassion in organizations are disclosed. Likewise, how compassionate leaders increase the attention and understanding, empathize with the needs of managers and their future are also explained. Furthermore, leaders can also be present in the various policies that they create. This study is useful for making leadership effective, especially in managing organizational change.

Abstract

Coping with unexpected and unprecedented challenges, particularly in managing change, is part of a leader’s function. Change often presents problems and tensions between the parties involved, which can derail the achievement of their objectives. For change to be successful, leaders need to build morale, unify individual and departmental aspirations, and positively influence such change. This study explores positive communication models that can facilitate leaders in managing change. By reviewing the literature of positive communication in the areas of a positive organization, particularly involving the integrative approach and constructive interaction, this study found the certain ways of communication that can encourage effective change agents while reducing the resistance of the individual change target. This work reveals that the constructive and integrative dimension of positive communication may facilitate the change agent to be more internally directed and purpose oriented. On the other hand, questioning and discovery emphasize the affection aspects and will lessen the resistance and make change target those who are more open and eager to collaborate. .

Abstract

The global Covid-19 pandemic requires the business enterprise to be ready to be up against massive changes due to the uncertain conditions. Change is a requisite as the business enterprise is currently recalculation of its business which has an impact on efficiency. This efficiency makes employees have to innovate in their work to be more effective and efficient. For this reason, transformational leaders are required to direct employees to change as well as to behave innovatively. This research uses the approach of quantitative with a survey method. The object of research is PT Lativi Mediakarya with the subject of all employees from the staff to manager level. Primary research data were collected through research questionnaires. The research sample was 140 people represented all Directorates and Divisions. The data were analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling with Partial Least Square approach. Transformational Leadership was found to have a positive effect on Readiness for Change, but does not have a significant effect on Innovative Work Behavior. Readiness for Change had a positive effect on Innovative Work Behavior. The Readiness for Change had a role as a mediator in the influence between Transformational Leadership and Innovative Work Behavior. Leaders in companies need to act agilely in the face of changing conditions with uncertainty, but still need to highlight aspects of individual considerations in their transformational character. Transformational leaders need to play a role in providing a stimulus for creativity and innovation so that they always encourage innovative behavior to their followers. Innovative behavior requires positive psychological conditions with trust and clarity of information from management.

Abstract

This study aims to find out how the concept of the Hybrid Working Model is used and how it affects the work culture at PT Bank DBS Indonesia as one of the companies that apply the Hybrid Working Model working arrangement. The research that will be carried out uses qualitative research methods because this study aims to understand social reality, then this study emphasizes more on meaning and seeing the values that exist in the PT Bank DBS Indonesia company. Data analysis technique with narrative analysis. The results of this study that the Hybrid Working Model that applied at PT Bank DBS Indonesia is Future of Work, Workforce, and Workplace (F3W) which provides flexibility of up to 40% of the employee's effective working hours (3 days WFO and 2 daysWFH), then there is an adjustment of the culture and values that are affected when implementing hybrid working model as evidenced by TOGETHER Movement as a support project for the PRIDE value at PT Bank DBS Indonesia. The conclusion of this study there is a positive change in the way of communicating and collaborating which becomes easier, but employees feel less enjoy and fun in their works.

Abstract

This research was conducted with the aim of finding out how the management of news websites within conventional television media companies carries out the transformation process to increase competitiveness in the digital era. The focus of this research problem is on changes made by the management of the tvOnenews.com website as a website that focuses on news and sports within the tvOne company to increase competitiveness in the digital era. The theories used in this research are Kotter's change management model, Grundy's types of change, Kreitner and Kinicki's organizational change factors, Holt et al.'s change readiness, Robbins and Coulter's organizational structure, John's organizational types, and Osterwalder et al.'s value proposition canvas to see the management transformation that has occurred due to digitalization and the rapid development of technology. The research paradigm used is postpositivism with a qualitative approach. The research results were obtained using interview and observation techniques with the research subjects, namely tvOne and tvOnenews.com management, who were directly involved in the process of increasing website competitiveness, as well as other data from reliable sources. The results and analysis of the research show the transformation that occurs in the management of tvOnenews.com by increasing competitiveness in the digital era.

Abstract

Penyakit kronis seperti kanker merupakan tantangan besar bagi sistem pelayanan kesehatan, yang menuntut layanan berkualitas tinggi dan berkesinambungan. Rumah sakit publik, sebagai penyedia layanan utama, sering kali menghadapi keterbatasan dalam memberikan pelayanan yang sesuai dengan ekspektasi pasien. Kualitas layanan yang rendah berpotensi menurunkan kepuasan serta loyalitas pasien, yang berdampak pada keberlanjutan layanan kesehatan jangka panjang. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh kualitas layanan kesehatan terhadap kepuasan dan loyalitas pasien penyakit kronis di rumah sakit publik. Dimensi kualitas layanan yang diteliti mencakup lima aspek utama dalam model SERVQUAL, yaitu Tangibility (keberwujudan), Reliability (keandalan), Responsiveness (daya tanggap), Assurance (jaminan), dan Empathy (empati). Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode Structural Equation Modeling – Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS). Data dikumpulkan melalui kuesioner yang disebarkan kepada 91 pasien kanker rawat inap di Rumah Sakit Kanker Dharmais, yang telah menjalani perawatan minimal tiga kali selama periode Februari-April 2025. Instrumen penelitian dirancang untuk mengukur persepsi terhadap kualitas layanan, kepuasan, dan loyalitas pasien. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa seluruh dimensi SERVQUAL berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kepuasan pasien. Kepuasan pasien juga terbukti memiliki pengaruh signifikan terhadap loyalitas pasien. Di antara kelima dimensi, empati dan keandalan merupakan faktor paling dominan, sedangkan tangibility memiliki pengaruh yang relatif lebih rendah terhadap kepuasan dan loyalitas. Temuan ini menegaskan pentingnya pendekatan holistik dalam pelayanan kesehatan, khususnya bagi pasien penyakit kronis yang membutuhkan perhatian jangka panjang. Penelitian ini memberikan kontribusi praktis bagi manajemen rumah sakit publik dalam meningkatkan kualitas layanan melalui fokus pada aspek teknis dan emosional, serta menjadi dasar bagi penyusunan kebijakan yang lebih berorientasi pada kebutuhan pasien.
