Abstract

Abstract - In this modern era, the development of industry is very advanced and rapid. This matter supported by technological developments increasingly sophisticated so as to facilitate all human work activities. All work activities that exist within the company include producing good and working system arrangements. One of the most important elements to run the goals of a company is human resources. Human resources can affect the effectiveness in generating output as well as driving business. The work environment is one of the most important factors that can affect the physical condition and human psychology. The purpose of this research is to know how does effect of physical and non-physical works environment on employee performance and the most dominant influence between physical work environment and non-physical work environment. The selected research object is an employee of the division of TC&AP PT Pindad Persero Bandung. This is related to the identification of some problems that the employee related to the working environment through interviews. The method used by researchers is multiple linear regressions (MLR). The result of the research shows that the physical work environment is not significant effect on perceived employee performance. The non-physical work environment has significant positively effect on perceived employee performance. Simultaneously the result of work environment variable physical and non-physical has significant effect on employee performance. The results showed that the non-physical work environment had a dominant impact on employee performance of 65.6% compared with the physical work environment variables of 0.34%. Keywords: Non-Physical Work Environment, Perceived Employees Performance, Physical Work Environment, Work Environment

Abstract

Abstract. By doing this research, the author wants to examines if the work environment have a relationship towards job satisfaction of millennial employee in Jakarta. The author tried to explore whether work environment would have significant relationship with job satisfaction, in this case work environment that were analyzed are office facility, work flexibility, social relationship, job security, and job esteem. A quantitative survey questionnaire is conducted to explore the relationship between independent and dependent variable. Multi linear regression were applied to analyze the relationship between independent and dependent variable in this study. Based on the data from the sample of 155 millennial employees in Jakarta, work environment that give significant relationship with job satisfaction are Physical office facility and job esteem.Keyword: Work Environment, Job Satisfaction, Office Facility, Social Relationship, Work Flexibility, Job Security, Job Esteem

Abstract

Abstract. Employer branding is the company image as a ‘great place to work’ in the mind of current potential employee and current employee. Employer branding is strategy to promote a company by creating positive image in order to communicate with job applicants, new employees, and existing employees. Many start-up companies faced the same problem that would be the main caused for why the start-up company could not sustain or growth as well. The problem is the employee did not loyal to the company, high turn-over, the employee used the start-up company to be the ‘miles-stone’ and it is hard to find or attract the potential employee to applied and join them. The purpose of this research is to identify the most important attribute of employer branding looked by the potential employee and current employee, also suggest the solution to improve the way to attract the potential employee and maintain the current employee for start-up company. Online questionnaire with purposive sampling were conducted for data collection. In addition, the researcher used the semi-structured interview with current employees to know deeper about the factor that influenced employer branding.  This research find that Sincerity is the most important attribute for potential employee and good salary is the most important attribute for current employee. Abstract

Abstract.Happiness is one of the positive emotions that everyone needed, including students. Meanwhile, many students tend to be quite/somewhat happy according to preliminary study research in Institut Teknologi Bandung. This study aims to find the perceived happiness of Students in Institut Teknologi Bandung according to the level of Happiness Index and the factor of student’s happiness. The sample of this research is Undergraduate Students (N=400) by revering cluster sampling which are Natural Sciences, Engineering, and Social Sciences, Arts, & Humanities. The research instrument was used a closed questionnaire adopted by the Oxford Happiness Questionnaire and happiness factor analysis. The data analysis used quantitative analysis by using descriptive analysis by Excel Program and using Statistical Analysis by using Principal Component Analysis & Ordinal Logistic Regression Method. This research found the Happiness Index Level of the Undergraduate students that most of the Undergraduate students in average are included in Medium Level; The difference of Happiness Index of each cluster; and the happiness factors of Undergraduate Students in overall and each cluster. Therefore, this research generates a recommendation for students, institution and further research to more considering the importance of happiness.Keywords: Happiness, Students Happiness, Happiness Factor

Abstract

Abstract. The objective of this study is to find out what factors affect employee work satisfaction and what factors are the most dominant drivers of each generation of work. Focusing on Generation X and Generation Y as the most dominant generation in a company, this research will measure the level of employee work satisfaction in PT PP in Jakarta. This research is supported by the theory of Herzberg Two Factors Theory and Job Characteristic Model chosen to assist the researcher in conducting the analysis of this research data. Using quantitative methods, the researcher distributed questionnaires to employees at PT PP Jakarta to assess the level of job satisfaction indicator. The results obtained from this study are the dominant factors from each generation are different, the promotion of work for generation X and the salary for generation Y.Keywords: Generation X, Generation Y, Job Satisfaction, Working Generation, Motivation Factor

Abstract

Abstract. PT. ABC is a company which construct and develop one of rail basis transportation in Jakarta. The aims of this research are to improve compensation system in PT. ABC which can satisfy, motivate and fair for the employees and to analyze as well as identify suitable employee's basic salary using job evaluation in PT. ABC. The methodology used in this research is quantitative and qualitative approach. This research collected primary and secondary data as well as processed the data through several steps including qualitative approach of interview and observation as well as quantitative approach of point method to calculate the basic salary. The result of this research is, competence based compensation system is suitable to be implemented in PT. ABC because the purpose of this system is match to solve the company's issues or problem. The purpose of the competence based compensation system is to satisfy, motivate and fair the employees through a clear indicator or level of measurement of basic salary, especially for experiences and competencies indicator. Abstract

Abstract. Background: Challenges faced by companies today are the millennial generation that began to dominate the workplace and they tended to choose the others opportunities beside work in company after their graduated. In order for companies to be employer of choice for potential job seekers, the company needs to do employer branding. The aim of this study is to identify the determinants of employer branding in attracting ITB students as whole and also based on the faculty clusters to seek employment. Methods: This study using quantitative approach through questionnaires distributed to respondents by online media. In this study, researcher used Principle Component Analysis (PCA) in order to reducing the number of original variables and determining the right Employer Branding factors for final year Undergraduate Student in ITB. Results: After the reduction with PCA, there are seven factors formed for ITB as whole, six factors for Natural Sciences cluster, seven factors for Engineering cluster, and six factors for Social Sciences, Arts, and Humanities. Conclusion: The findings of this study can be useful for HRM professionals in the develop employer branding in order to attract potential employee from Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB). This study also can help companies who targeted graduates from ITB to build desirable image that can fit with their value.Keywords: Employer Branding, Employer of choice, ITB, Millennials, PCA

Abstract

Abstract.Background: There are many studies that identified the relationship between the leadership style and thesuccess of organizational change implementation is significant. In this research, the researcher focus on the real case that happened in PT PINDAD is currently on the process of implementing their new culture. The researcher tried to identify whether the leadership style has a significant relationship with organizational change . Methods: The  organizational  change  recipients’  belief  measured  using  OCRBS,  and  the  leadership  style measured using the Multi-Leadership Questionnaire.Results: The  results  of  this  research  show  that  the  leadership  style  has  significant  impact  on  the organizational change, and both of transformational leadership and transactional leadership give a positiveimpact on the organizational change. The current leadership style that PT PINDAD used is Management-by- exception, while results show that Inspirational Motivation is a leadership style that gives highest positive impact among other seven leadership style on organizational change in PT PINDADConclusion: improving the leadership style will beneficial for PT PINDAD, since there is a significant impactof  leadership  on  organizational  change.  Applied  appropriate  leadership  style  will  help  the  process  of organizational change implementation. Keywords: Leadership Style, Organizational Change, Transactional Leadership, Transformational Leadership

Abstract

There have been many literature reviews to search the impact the of organization culture on employee performance. Researchers have related culture within the organization to many distinct organizational behaviors, as well as recognizing the correlation between organizational culture and employee performance. In Indonesia's public/government organizations, the performance of civil servants is very crucial in creating good governance and clean governance, and in supporting government duties in providing the best service to the public on the basis of its features as a public service. One of today's major problems for civil servants is to operate effectively and efficiently as government agencies in Indonesia. The aim of this study is to investigate the identification of powerful organizational culture dimensions that enhance the employee performance in Dinas Pemuda & Olahraga (Dispora) Kota Bandung. This study results may provide relevant information for organization to understanding the role of organization culture. The findings of the study may positively affect organization by providing strategies to improve their employee performance. This research using quantitative approach through questionnaire and SPSS to process the questionnaire result. The result in this search is Organization culture has positive impact towards employee performance in Dispora and Communication pattern is dominant factor of organization culture that can improve employee performance in Dispora. The management of Dispora Organization leader in Dispora need to state organization culture clearly, through written behavioral guideline to create better understanding for employee to do their job. Abstract

Abstract. Sunday school is a service ground that is based on the calling of heart and as a volunteer to serve God. This does not mean that Sunday school is a learning program that there is no foundation of vision and mission. However, teachers should have good self-commitment, competence, and teaching ability that meet the needs of the child. Church X Bandung has a training program set up to foster and support Sunday school teachers, but not running well. Actually the church often thinks that guiding the Sunday school teacher does not really matter, so that provide training with the concept that is not matching on target and the result in the performance or learning process is often happened. Therefore, this study aims to determine the type of competence that should be possessed by the Sunday school teacher and how to develop it in teaching and educating children to make Sunday school performance more running effectively. This research uses narrative method by understanding the perspective of resource based on story (narrative) about Sunday school from teacher, child, parent, and pastor that delivered through interview. The results of the Sunday school performance evaluation show that Sunday school teachers need training to improve the teaching quality. Researchers recommend a solution for Church X to conduct regular training to find out the competencies required of current teachers and how to improve Sunday school's performance.Keywords: Church X Bandung, Competency, Sunday school's performance, Sunday school teacher, Training.Â
