Abstract

Environmentally friendly plant-based insecticides can be used incontrolling and preventing diseases caused by the Culex sp. mosquito. One of the alternative natural insecticide materialsare neem seeds (Javanese: Mimba). This study aimed to: 1). describe the effect of neem seed extract on the mortality of mosquito larvae Culex sp. 2). describe the concentrations of neem seed extract that cause mortality of mosquito larvae Culex sp.: 50% and 90%. This research was an experimental study. The larvae of Culex sp. of third instar obtained from ITD Airlangga University in Surabaya. This study used of completely randomized design with four treatments of neem seed extract concentration of 0.01%, 0.02%, 0.1%, 0.2%, 0.4% and controls with five times the repeatitions. Each treatment consisted of 20 larvae. Data were analyzed using Probit Regresion and Pearson Correlation. The results showed that the concentration of exctract that caused 50% mortality of mosquito larvae Culex sp. was 0.07172%, while the concentration of extract that caused 90% mortality larvae was 0.1927%. Pearson correlation analysis obtained the value of r = 0.922, which means that there was significant correlation between the concentrations of neem seed extract against mosquito larvae mortality of third instar Culex sp.   Key words: neem seed extract (Azadirachtaindica); mortality; Culex sp.

Abstract

Awareness of state defence means being willing to serve the country and make sacrifices to defend it. In addition, there are several factors that cause students' awareness of state defence to decline, such as the entry of foreign cultures and the rapidly growing role of globalisation. The purpose of this study is to analyse the awareness of students in the millennial generation era in loving the country, awareness of the nation and state, belief in the supremacy of Pancasila, willing to sacrifice to defend the nation and state. This research method uses qualitative assessment with literature review. The author uses data from various sources including books, journals, and online media. The results showed that the awareness of millennial era students about state defence is increasing, because students are the young generation who can change the nation's best progress for the development of the next generation because there are still many students who are not too concerned with state defence. Therefore, it is very important for students in the millennial generation era to be smarter in choosing information and using social media. Students in the millennial generation era are expected to have the ability to change the order of the newly formed state, believe in Pancasila as the state ideology, and apply the values of Pancasila and state defence in everyday life.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of payments using the Quick Response Code Indonesian Standard (QRIS) method in Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), focusing on a case study of the Teguk beverage business. The research employs a qualitative descriptive approach, with data collected through interviews and documentation involving employees and customers of the Teguk beverage business. The findings indicate that the adoption of QRIS payments has a significantly positive impact on the efficiency and effectiveness of transaction processes within the Teguk beverage business. Employees reported that using QRIS simplifies transactions compared to cash, resolves issues related to providing change, and allows for real-time transaction monitoring. Similarly, consumers have experienced benefits, with the majority indicating that QRIS makes the payment process faster, more practical, and more efficient. They appreciate the convenience of QRIS, which eliminates the need to carry large amounts of cash and accelerates transactions.
