Abstract

The Indonesian Government announced the relocation of the National Capital from Jakarta to East Kalimantan Province in 2019. The term ‘Capital of the Archipelago ' or Ibu Kota Nusantara (IKN) was approved as the name of the new capital of the Republic of Indonesia. This study conducted visualization and bibliometric analysis using VOSviewer 1.6.20 from 100 scientific articles with the keyword "Ibu Kota Nusantara" collected from Google Scholar. The frequency of article titles relevant to IKN in 2022 was greater than in 2023. In the comparison of titles with the term IKN in 2022, there were 22 articles; in 2023, there were 15 articles, so the difference was 22/15 or 1.467. Following the 12 images of IKN, there were five images related to some scientific articles that have been published, including those related to innovation and technology where IKN was imaged as a smart city, sustainable capital, environmentally friendly, green city, and greening. However, seven images need attention for the following research topics: renewable, legal, cultural, user-friendly road, unique, city of change, and solutions for equality. This study helps provide insight as a basis for further research on various innovative themes related to IKN.

Abstract

This study examined development trends in digital archives management within government agencies using a bibliometric approach, covering the period from 2001 to 2023. The bibliometric approach was applied to examine publication patterns from 170 articles sourced from the Scopus database, filtered based on specific criteria. The analysis integrates qualitative and quantitative assessments to identify influential works and emerging themes in the field. The study revealed a notable growth in scholarly interest, with publications increasing from 10 in 2022 to 17 in 2023. The United States emerged as the leading contributor in both publication output and citation impact. Among journals, Government Information Quarterly (355 citations), The Electronic Library (144 citations), and Records Management Journal (180 citations) were identified as highly influential. Keyword network analysis highlighted key research directions centered on leveraging technology for digital archives management. Dominant themes included “records management,” “e-government,” and “blockchain,” reflecting a focus on optimizing archival practices and ensuring secure, interoperable systems. Future research should explore integrating blockchain with e-government frameworks to enhance records management security and developing interoperable electronic archive systems. The study underscores the importance of a collaborative, multidisciplinary approach involving archivists, technologists, and policymakers to foster innovation and address challenges in digital archives management.

Abstract

This study departs from the regulation of the Mayor of Banjarmasin Number 40 of 2019 concerning the Smart City Masterplan, which requires the implementation of Smart City Banjarmasin revised to maximize the identity of the river city as city branding, namely D(River) smart city. This study aims to identify policies and implementation of Smart Branding Policies in Banjarmasin. This study used a qualitative descriptive approach with data collection techniques carried out by triangulation of sources through literature studies, observation, in-depth interviews, and inductive data analysis. The results show that Smart Branding policies are contained in the Smart City Masterplan for 2022-2026, which was revised based on the 2021-2026 Medium Term Development Plan. Then the implementation of Smart Branding can be identified into three categories: Facilitation of ICT at Riverside View Tower, ICT System Integration in Tourist Areas, and Digitalization of Tourism and Cultural Promotion. In each category, there is a gap between implementation and ideal conditions due to a lack of public participation, data, resources, regulations, and disaster mitigation. However, it is recommended that the gap should be minimized by overcoming the identified constraints so that policy implementation becomes more optimal.
