Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of the tourism sector on Original Local Revenue of West Sumatra Province. This study will analyze how the influence of independent variables (number of tourist attractions, number of domestic tourists, number of restaurants and restaurants, and number of hotels and inns) on the dependent variable (Original Local Revenue) in West Sumatra Province. This study uses a quantitative method in the form of multiple regression analysis with panel data. The data used in this study is panel data for 5 years, namely from 2016 to 2020 obtained from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) of West Sumatra Province. The results of the analysis using a fixed effect model approach show that the variable number of tourist objects had no effect nor was it significant on Original Local Revenue, the number of domestic tourists had a positive but not significant effect on Original Local Revenue, the number of hotels and inns, the number of restaurants and restaurants had a significant effect on increasing Original Local Revenue of West Sumatra Province.

Abstract

This research analyzes the influence of leading economic sectors and government spending on economic growth in the Limapuluh Kota Regency. Secondary data is used to obtain information needed for research analysis. The analytical methods used are quantitative descriptive analysis and qualitative analysis. The qualitative analysis uses the Location Quotient (LQ) method and Growth Ratio Model (GRM) to identify leading sectors in the Limapuluh Kota Regency. The Ordinary Least Square (OLS) approach analyzes the influence of leading economic sectors and government spending on economic growth statistically. The results of this research found that 3 sectors were categorized as superior using the LQ method and 8 sectors were categorized as potential using the GRM method. Then a regression analysis was carried out with the results that the mining sector and government spending did not significantly affect economic growth. Meanwhile, the agricultural sector and the construction sector have a significant influence on economic growth in Limapuluh Kota Regency.

Abstract

Olimpiade bidang ekonomi merupakan ajang perlombaan yang bergengsi secara nasional. Agar tercapai hasil yang diinginkan pada ajang perlombaan tersebut, terlebih dahulu diadakan Pelatihan dan pembinaan Olimpiade. Pelatihan yang dilakukan bertujuan untuk mensosialisasikan, mengedukasi, dan capacity building tentang Ilmu Ekonomi bagi para guru dan siswa SMA/MA bekerjasama dengan SMA/MA yang ada di Kabupaten Padang Pariaman. Survai oleh tim pelaksana menemukan gambaran bahwa salah satu permasalahan yang saat ini dihadapi oleh Dinas Pendidikan Kabupaten Pariaman adalah terbatasnya dana untuk melaksanakan program in-service training bagi para guru. Di sisi lain, kualifikasi dan profesionalisme para tenaga pendidik (guru) yang ada di Kabupaten Pariaman, khususnya guru bidang studi Ekonomi di SMA banyak yang belum sesuai dengan bidang tugasnya, termasuk pula masih kurangnya kemampuan dan keterampilan-keterampilan profesional guru dalam mengajar Ekonomi. Pengabdian ini dilakukan dengan metode ceramah, tanya jawab, pelatihan dan dilanjutkan dengan pembinaan. Hasil dari kajian berdasarkan metode yang digunakan adalah bahwa dengan pelatihan dan pembinaan yang berbentuk ceramah dan penyuluhan ini cukup mampu meningkatkan minat dan kemampuan siswa dalam memahami pengetahuan terhadap bidang dan materi ilmu ekonomi yang diberikan, sehingga dapat diukur seberapa jauh penyampaian materi dapat diterima siswa. Untuk dapat tercapainya tujuan, pelatihan tersebut haruslah disiapkan, direncanakan, dilaksanakan dan dievaluasi secara serius.
