Abstract

This study aims to see and analyze the effect of Road, Education, Health and Telecommunication infrastructure development on the poverty rate in Southeast Maluku Regency. This research uses a quantitative approach with Multiple Linear Regression analysis methods and data processing using the Eviews application. This study used secondary data obtained from related agencies. The results of this study show that Road Infrastructure and Telecommunication Infrastructure have a negative and significant effect on regional poverty levels in Southeast Maluku Regency. This is evidenced by the results of the t-statistical test which shows a coefficient value of -4.126048 with a probability value of 0.0091 in Road Infrastructure and Telecommunication Infrastructure obtained t-statistical test results which show a coefficient value of -3985471 with a probability value of 0.0105. Meanwhile, Education Infrastructure and Health Infrastructure do not have a significant effect on the poverty rate in Southeast Maluku Regency. This is evidenced by the t-statistical test which shows a coefficient value of 1.044468 with a probability value of 0.3441 in Education Infrastructure and Health Infrastructure obtained t-statistical test results that m show a coefficient value of 0.7993 with a probability value of 0.0105.

Abstract

Inequality of income distribution and its determinants still leaves mixed debate and empirical findings. The source of inequality in population income distribution is in Eastern Indonesia (KTI) in line with the economic development performance that is still low compared to Western Indonesia (KBI). This study aims to examine the socio-economic factors that influence the income distribution gap in KTI, with a focus on economic growth, employment opportunities, farmer exchange rates, regional minimum wages, and education. Quantitative analysis tools used are panel data regression models with fixed effect model estimation techniques. The data used is panel data of 12 provinces in Eastern Indonesia, for the period 2010-2017. The results showed that both partially and simultaneously economic growth, employment opportunities, farmer exchange rates, and education levels contributed significantly to reducing the income distribution gap. The recommendation for regional governments is to accelerate economic growth accompanied by the expansion of employment opportunities and education development equally, and also the optimization of agricultural sector development.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of interest rates, exchange rates and the consumer price index on the yield of Government Securities (SUN) in Indonesia from 2005 to 2023. This study uses multiple linear regression methods, this study examines the relationship between independent variables, namely interest rates, the exchange rate of the rupiah against the United States dollar and the CPI on the dependent variable, namely yield SUN. The results showed that interest rates have a positive but insignificant effect on SUN yield or are not strong enough to be considered significant in determining the overall SUN yield. The rupiah exchange rate has a negative but significant effect on SUN yield, where the depreciation of the rupiah against the dollar tends to increase yield as compensation for exchange rate risk.Meanwhile, CPI has a negative and insignificant effect on SUN yield, indicating that although an increase in CPI, which reflects inflation, tends to be followed by a decrease in SUN yield, its influence is not strong enough to be the main factor in determining yield. These findings provide important implications for policy makers and market participants in understanding the dynamics of the Indonesian bond market and in managing national financial stability.

This study aims to analyze the effect of intellectual competence, emotional competence, and social competence on employee performance at Pattimura University Ambon. The research was motivated by the importance of holistic competency development in improving the quality of employee performance in the university environment, especially in Eastern Indonesia which has unique characteristics. The research method used was quantitative with a survey approach, involving 289 employees as a sample taken by purposive sampling. Data were analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) with the help of XLSTAT software to test the relationship between variables. The results showed that the three dimensions of competence had a positive and significant effect on employee performance, with the most dominant influence of social competence (coefficient 0.477), followed by intellectual competence (0.313) and emotional competence (0.205). This finding confirms the importance of developing intellectual, emotional and social competencies in an integrated manner to improve employee performance at Pattimura University Ambon.
