Abstract

Sagalaherang Kidul Village has great potential in the utilization of mangosteen peel waste which has not been optimized. To utilize this potential, KKNT-I IPB students carried out community service activities aimed at processing mangosteen peel waste into Garci-Tea, a healthy tea innovation with high economic value. This counseling was aimed at women members of the Family Empowerment and Welfare Institution (PKK) and was held on July 28, 2024 at the house of the Head of Dusun 4 Krajan. Through this program, participants were taught about the economic potential of mangosteen peel, which is rich in antioxidants, and its easy and practical processing techniques. The program methods included training and hands-on demonstrations, starting from drying, grinding, and serving the tea. The results of the activities showed an increase in participants' knowledge and skills and provided opportunities to create products of economic value from agricultural waste. This activity is expected to improve community welfare and health and encourage more optimal utilization of local resources. This activity also emphasizes the importance of empowering women in developing skills that support family economic improvement.

Abstract

A training on LED lamp repair was conducted as part of a Community Service Program (PKM). This activity aimed to improve the knowledge and skills of mosque youth in repairing damaged LED lamps. The PKM was carried out at Mushola Nurohmah, Telukambulu Village, Batujaya, Karawang, involving 19 participants consisting of mosque youth, local residents, neighborhood leaders (RT), and LED lamp repair technicians. The implementation of this training in the PKM used an asset-based method, where each participant was given a damaged LED lamp to repair, and the repaired lamp was then given to each participant. The training began with the delivery of materials, followed by guided repair practice and a repair test based on the indicator that the repaired lamp was functioning properly (turned on). To measure the success of achieving the training objectives in this PKM activity, a pre-test and post-test were conducted. The results showed an average increase of 75.78% in participants’ knowledge and skills in this PKM activity.Telah dilakukan pelatihan reparasi lampu LED pada kegiatan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat. Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan remaja mushola dalam memperbaiki lampu LED yang rusak. PKM dilaksanakan di Mushola Nurohmah Desa Telukambulu Batujaya Karawang dengan melibatkan  19 orang peserta yang terdiri dari remaja mushola, warga sekitar, RT, dan pekerja teknisi reparasi lampu LED. Pelaksanaan pelatihan dalam PKM ini menggunakan metode berbasis Aset, setiap peserta diberikan lampu LED yang rusak untuk diperbaiki, hasilnya diberikan kepada peserta masing-masing. Pelaksanaan pelatihan dimulai dengan penyampaian materi, pembimbingan reparasi dan ujian reparasi berdasarkan indikator lampu yang direparasi telah menyala. Untuk mengukur keberhasilan tercapainya tujuan pelatihan pada kegiatan PKM ini, dilakukan pre test dan post test. Hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa adanya 75,78% rata-rata peningkatan pengetahuan dan keterampilan peserta pelatihan pada kegiatan PKM.
