<![CDATA[The purpose of this research to describe the process of the effectiveness of teaching material audio visual ?video? on the teaching learning process in identifying poetry-building elements of the eighth graders at SMPN 1 Jabung Lampung Timur. This research used descriptive quantitative method, and the kind of this research is experimental research. There are 2 variable on this research, they are independent and dependent variable. Population which used on this research are student of eighth grade with 60 students obtained by random sampling technique. The result of this research is the results of the ability to identify the elements of poetry builders in the form of subjective text in the form of multiple choice assessment signs. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan proses keefektifan penggunaan bahan ajarpandang dengar ?video?dalam pembelajaran mengidentifikasi unsur-unsur pembangun puisi padasiswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 1 Jabung Lampung Timur. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kuantitatif, dan jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian eksperimen. Variabel dalam penelitian ada dua, yaitu variabel bebas dan variable terikat. Populasi yang digunakan dalam penelitian yaitu siswa kelas VIII dengan sampel sebanyak 60 siswa yang diambil dengan teknik random sampling sederhana. Hasil penelitian ini berupa skor hasil tes kemampuan mengidentifikasi unsur-unsur pembangun puisi berbentuk tes subjektif berupa rambu penilaian pilihan jamak.
