Abstract

Drug abuse has become a crucial issue with pervasive impacts across various sectors, including social, economic, and health. In Indonesia, this problem is increasingly pressing, marked by a surge in the prevalence of abuse, especially among students and teenagers. Although the government has established various policies and regulations through Law No. 35 of 2009, its implementation often sparks controversies related to human rights violations. This journal focuses on the dynamics and challenges in enforcing narcotics criminal law while maintaining human rights protection. Through a normative approach and qualitative analysis, this research examines to what extent public interests and individual rights can be balanced. The findings suggest that this balance requires a comprehensive approach that encompasses legal analysis, alternative sanctions like rehabilitation, and effective oversight mechanisms. These results underscore the need for a more holistic strategy in addressing the drug issue in Indonesia.

Abstract

The current digital age has transformed the way society communicates and interacts, with social media being the primary medium. In this context, Domestic Violence (DV) is a critical issue that has garnered widespread attention, not only in Indonesia but also internationally. This study focuses on how social media, through online campaigns, can enhance awareness and actions against DV. Using a qualitative approach, this research explores the potential of social media as an educational and social mobilization platform to prevent DV. The results indicate that online campaigns have immense potential to engage the community, raise awareness, provide accurate education, support DV survivors, and promote collective action in DV prevention efforts. This study offers new insights into communication strategies in the digital age to address the DV problem.

Abstract

General Elections (Pemilu) in Indonesia are a concrete manifestation of democratic values, in line with Pancasila and the 1945 Constitution. Since its first implementation in 1955, the Pemilu has undergone several evolutions in its legal aspects, stages, and administration. In anticipation of the 2024 Pemilu, new dynamics have emerged, including changes in technology and the political preferences of society. A key element in this electoral landscape is the Center for Community Organizations (POK). This research highlights the role and existence of POK in facing the challenges of the 2024 Pemilu. Through a basic theoretical study method with a qualitative approach, this research examines the position, role, and challenges faced by POK in the context of Indonesian democracy. The results show that POK plays a vital role as a mediator between the community and government officials, with high expectations to actively ensure fairness and integrity in the 2024 Pemilu.
