Abstract

The development of scientific classification occurred gradually along with the development of science both in the West and in the Islamic world. This article aims to explore ideas about the classification of science based on Western and Islamic perspectives. This research is qualitative research with a library research method based on author searches sourced from several relevant books and journals. The research results confirm that the development of science creates dichotomization and antagonism of various branches of science in the Western view. However, from an Islamic perspective, forms of knowledge and various branches of knowledge are one unit, even though the development of science in Islam was influenced by scientists from Greece. Some of the figures quoted in this article include Comte, Popper, Kuhn, and Habermas. Meanwhile, Muslim scientists come from the opinions of al-Farabi, Ibn Sina, Ibn Khaldun, and several other Muslim scientists. While in classical times there were only large classifications, currently there are special notations with special numbering to classify science in detail. The classification of Islamic sciences carried out by Muslim scientists emphasizes that the scope of knowledge in Islam is very broad, covering worldly and everyday affairs. The limitation of science is that the development of science must be within the framework of monotheism within the framework of devotion to Allah, and for the benefit of humanity. The classification of science in the Western view tends to be more secular and materialistic, while the Islamic view offers a more holistic view that integrates the physical and spiritual aspects. Both approaches provide valuable insights and can complement each other in the effort to achieve a fuller and deeper understanding of the world and our place in it.

Abstract

In order to enhance the professional competence of aspiring counselors enrolled in the Islamic Counseling Guidance Study Program, this research sought to disclose the online counseling model used at State Islamic Religious Universities. Interviews with the management of UIN Mahmud Yunus Batusangkar, UIN Sultan Syarif Kasim Riau, and UIN Sheikh Ali Hasan Ahmad Addary Padangsidimpuan's Islamic Counseling Guidance study program were used to gather research data. The findings demonstrate that, theoretically, Islamic Counseling Guidance and Islamic Education Counseling Guidance courses have been used to execute online counseling. This has made it easier to adapt to how information technology has developed. In actuality, though, online therapy is only done through social media platforms like Messenger, Instagram, WhatsApp, and Video Call. The study's findings indicate that in order to enhance the professional competence of Islamic Counseling Guidance students as potential Islamic counselors, managers of the Islamic Counseling Guidance Study Program and Islamic Education Counseling Guidance must create applications that are simple to use, particularly for guidance and counseling services.

Abstract

This research aims to explain the concept of Islamic psychotherapy through a systematic literature review method. The survey results show that mental health problems are a very important problem based on data showing that 15.5 million teenagers nationally experience mental health disorders. Based on the quantity of figures shown, it is equivalent to 2.45 million Indonesian teenagers. Anxiety disorders are the mental disorders most commonly suffered by teenagers, namely 3.7%. This is what underlies researchers' interest in researching the concept of Islamic psychotherapy as a form of assistance in dealing with mental health. The method used in this research is Systematic Literature Review by taking articles sourced from scopus.com. After the article was analyzed descriptively, it was found that there were at least two opinions about Islamic psychotherapy; firstly, that the concept of Islamic psychotherapy must be sourced from the Koran, Hadith and Muslim scientists, and the second opinion states that the concept of modern psychotherapy can be combined with Islamic values (Islamic perspective). However, everyone agrees on how important it is to apply Islamic psychotherapy to help with mental health problems
