Abstract

The brand identity of the retail sphere generally used only three sensory senses: visual, hearing and tactile. It becomes interesting when our olfactory senses also able to recognize the brands in the retail sphere. This research departs from the thought, that man can fast a moment not eat, closed to not see, close the ears to not hear, moment not touch something. But while man is still alive, man will not stop breathe and attracted to something through olfactory senses. This study aims to map out the patterns of brand identity communication through olfactory sensory in retail brands in Mal such as Wakai, Johnny Andrean. XXI, Rotiboy, BreadTalk etc. The method uses case study analysis with qualitative approach. For that chosen is descriptive explorative approach which is a type of research that aims to find a new knowledge that previously did not exist. This research reveals Olfactory branding in the retail sphere contributes holistically in providing communication patterns that generate brand identity through the meaning of self-experience and social engagement with a brand that is categorized into perceptions based on geographical, demographic, psychographic and sociocultural segmentation.Keywords: Olfactory, Sensory Branding, Non Verbal Comunication, Brand Identity, Product Engagement

Abstract

This research is aimed to: 1) develop the Creative Economy learning model 2) to growideas and creativity of students 3) to grow students’ entrepreneurship spirit.This research used a Research and Development (R D) method. The research wasconducted from May to June 2012. The subjects were 32 students of class X of SMK N 7Yogyakarta.The data collection techniques were observation and interview. The data analysiswas qualitative and descriptive in nature to reveal the emergence of creative skills related tothe economic development of creative learning models.The results showed that: 1) Creative Economy Learning Model growing students’creativity as a step of preparing students’ entrepreneurship spirit based on the results of thevalidation results of the instruments experts or specialists as a whole was good. The scoreobtained by the model instrument was 3.81 with a very good criteria. 2) the score of thesyllabus was categorized as good and the score was 3.13. the score of the lesson plan was3.14 and was categorized as good. 3) The model of syllabus and lesson plan were proven togrow the students’ creativity and entrepreneurial spirit. Based on the observations, it can beconcluded that the development of the Creative Economy learning model held in class X ofSMKN 7 Yogyakarta showed that students were able to nurture the creativity that wouldgrow their entrepreneurial spirit. It was proven with the result showing that there were 24students reached the level of being creative, 5 students achieved the level of being quitecreative, and three students achieved the level of less creative. The average grade obtainedfor creativity was 15.3; therefore, it was categorized as creative.Keywords: Creative Economy, Entrepreneur, Students

Abstract

Bakeri adalah cabang dari ilmu mikro-biologi yang selalu berkelompok (berkoloni) untuk melakukan perkembang biakan dan bertahan hidup karena katergantungan satu sama lain. Koloni bakteri sering di temukan di media-media sumber kehidupan seperti makanan, air, dan media lainnya, namun dengan adanya alat-alat penelitian yang terdapat di laboratorium menghambat proses penelitian, analisa dan perhitungan terhadap koloni bakteri bagi para peneliti atau praktisi mahasiswa yang sedang melakukan praktikum. Dengan demikian sangat penting untuk melakukan analisa bagi seorang peneliti dalam melakukan penelitian dengan mikro biologi yang akan di teliti. Untuk mengatasi masalah ini dikembangkan sebuah aplikasi penghitung koloni bakteri yang akan membantu para peneliti untuk melakukan analisa perhitungan jumlah koloni bakteri yang sedang di teleti. Sistem ini berbasis android dan menggunakan pengolahan citra digital dengan pemotretan citra dari koloni bakteri yang akan di hitung dan openCV sebagai alat bantu yang digunakan untuk mendukung proses pengolahan citra pada android
