Abstract

The need for public green open space is increasing along with urban development and population growth. The existence of green open space development around river/canal areas currently has the potential to increase the availability of green open space in DKI Jakarta. One of the green open space areas in the riverside/canal area built by the government is the East Flood Canal area, which is partly located in Duren Sawit District, East Jakarta. The purpose of this research is to formulate a strategy for structuring the East Flood Canal area of Duren Sawit District in accordance with zoning regulations and regional characteristics. From analysis that has been done, the compatibilty between the planning and existing conditions are partially not prominent, therefore in the next can be done with a more humanist concept such as Waterfront City. To achieve this concept, strategies that can be taken with optimizing spatial planning of built area such as urban structure plan implementation and urban development incentive, keeping the function East Flood Canal as Green Open Space with revitalization of existing functions of catchment area and Recreational Waterfront development , promoting of the development plan in order to attract privates, and trying to involve local community (public participatory) in relocating parking and the five-foot way trader.

Abstract

This study employs a sociometric analysis of Community Concern and Participation in Implementing the Lancang Kuning Nusantara Application for Forest and Land Fire Prevention in Toba Regency, Indonesia. With a sample of 401 respondents, the study aims to comprehensively understand social interactions and community engagement in this context. Results indicate that the perception score (X(i.1)) and participation score (X(i.2)) are high or significant, reflecting positive community awareness and active involvement in fire prevention activities. However, the acceptability score (X(i.3)) is low or insignificant, suggesting potential dissatisfaction or skepticism regarding the effectiveness or implementation of current programs. Furthermore, standard deviation analysis reveals that variability in respondent ratings is generally within control, with only 2 out of 15 testing points showing high standard deviation, while 13 are within acceptable limits. Nevertheless, the proportion of respondents who rate low (PRMR) exceeds the desired threshold of 10% across all variables, indicating that many respondents have low evaluations. These findings suggest a need for improved communication, education, and potential adjustments to enhance the acceptability and effectiveness of the fire prevention initiatives and the Lancang Kuning Nusantara System application.

Abstract

The development of technology, especially in the era of Industry 4.0, has significantly impacted various sectors, including supply chain management. Artificial Intelligence (AI), one of the leading technologies in Industry 4.0, has excellent potential to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the supply chain. This study aims to identify the relationship between AI and the concept of supply chain management and analyze the practice of using AI to improve supply chain efficiency at PT. Pelita Media Nusantara. Using a descriptive-analytical method, this study examines various relevant literature and data. The results of the study indicate that the application of AI at PT. Pelita Media Nusantara has increased the supply chain's visibility, accuracy, and responsiveness. Implementing big data analytics, IoT sensors, and AI-based predictive systems allows companies to optimize procurement, production, and distribution processes. This case study also reveals that complex technology integration and the need for skilled human resources are the main challenges in implementing AI. This study provides important insights for academics and practitioners in developing more effective and efficient AI-based supply chain management strategies.

Abstract

Delays (time overruns, SPI < 1) and exceeding budget costs (cost overruns, CPI < 1) on EPC (Engineering, Procurement, Construction) Projects are a global phenomenon due to the very diverse and unique nature of construction projects so that many companies experience losses during construction execution work activities. A very critical job in the execution of EPC projects is fabrication and installation activities which are part of construction activities because there are very many variables that have an impact on cost overruns if the fabrication and installation work is not monitored and controlled properly.   In this study, an analysis of the effect of fabrication and installation work on cost overruns was carried out on the Steam Turbine Generator and Coal Boiler Project in Palembang.  The analysis was performed using SPSS Ver software. 25 by processing questionnaire data from the answers of 42 respondents. With good control and early anticipation of construction activities so that it can help project managers in managing projects more effectively and efficiently so that the SPI (Schedule Performance Index) and CPI (Cost Performance Index) are more than one and the achievement of other requirements in accordance with project specifications and contracts.

Abstract

Waste management in informal settlement areas in Indonesia is still a complex environmental issue. Limited government services, population density, and minimal infrastructure conditions make waste a major source of pollution and health risks. In the last ten years, the community-based waste governance (CBWG) approach has been widely encouraged by local governments and civil society organizations. However, the effectiveness of this approach varies, depending on local capacity, policy support, and sustainability of citizen participation. This study aims to review the CBWG approach in Indonesia's informal settlements by examining the factors that strengthen or weaken the initiative. The study was conducted in three major cities through a qualitative method that included in-depth interviews with residents, community leaders, NGOs, and environmental officials, as well as participatory observation at the RT/RW level. The results showed that the success of the CBWG was greatly influenced by strong community leadership, economic incentives from recycling activities, and synergy between residents and local government support. On the contrary, fragmentation of responsibilities and lack of long-term planning are the main obstacles. These findings emphasize the importance of building a hybrid governance model that combines local wisdom, institutional support, and social innovation to realize an inclusive, sustainable, and contextual waste management system for informal areas in Indonesia.
