Abstract

Micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) in Kamali Beach, Baubau City, have several limitations, including the low work productivity of MSME actors, namely the low quality of MSME human resources, especially in the areas of management, organization, mastery of technology, and marketing and have limited access to cooperation. The purpose of this research is to find out and analyze the strategy for increasing the work productivity of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) at Kamali Beach in Baubau City in order to formulate solutions for its development. The method used is a qualitative and quantitative analysis method because this research was carried out in two stages, namely SWOT analysis is used to determine the strategy and AHP (Analitycal Hierarchy Process) will function as a tool to determine which strategy should be prioritized. Abstract

This study examines how macroeconomic volatility—captured by oil price and exchange rate shocks—shapes firm value and financial performance in the logistics sector of an emerging market. Using data from 2018–2023 and partial least squares structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM), the analysis reveals that oil price movements significantly enhance both return on equity (ROE) and firm value, while exchange rate fluctuations, when interacting with oil price changes, exert a negative moderating effect on firm value. The results indicate that macro shocks not only influence profitability but also condition the transmission of financial performance into market valuation. The model explains 22.8% of firm value variation and 10.8% of ROE, underscoring the importance of macro-financial integration in valuation models. This study extends firm valuation theory by demonstrating that energy and currency risks are non-neutral to investors in capital-intensive sectors, offering implications for corporate hedging, capital structure design, and investment timing strategies.

Abstract

This study analyzes the determination of profit change through financial ratios, including Current Ratio (CR), Debt to Equity Ratio (DER), Return on Equity (ROE), and Total Asset Turnover (TATO), in manufacturing companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) during the 2020–2023 period. The research aims to identify the extent to which these financial ratios influence changes in company profitability. Using a quantitative approach with an explanatory design, data were collected from 20 manufacturing companies that consistently published complete financial statements throughout the observation period. The analytical technique employed descriptive statistics and multiple linear regression analysis, supported by classical assumption tests such as normality, multicollinearity, heteroscedasticity, and autocorrelation. The results show that the regression model fulfills all classical assumptions, ensuring its validity and reliability. Empirical findings indicate that Return on Equity (ROE) and Total Asset Turnover (TATO) have a significant positive effect on profit change, while Current Ratio (CR) and Debt to Equity Ratio (DER) have a weaker but still relevant influence. The coefficient of determination (R²) value of 0.68 indicates that 68 percent of profit variation can be explained by these financial ratios, while the remaining 32 percent is influenced by other external factors such as operational efficiency and market conditions.
