Abstract

The crisis of Islamic education, along with other pressing issues, has long been apparent within the Islamic world. According to Al-Faruqi, the education sector is suspected to be experiencing the worst crisis. This should not happen because the spirit of renewal in Islam should not only touch upon political, military, and economic aspects but should also be more focused on education. This type of research is a literature review, utilizing a factual-historical approach concerning prominent figures. Through several efforts, this research concludes that what has been formulated by Al-Attas and Hamka, particularly regarding education, is their intellectual jihad to realize an ideal Islamic education system. This system is based on moral, spiritual, and religious values. The orientation and values of Islamic education fundamentally lie in the harmony and balance of the complete individual, encompassing both the physical and spiritual aspects of human beings. Similarly, when viewed in terms of the human function as the servant of Allah ('abd Allah), symbolizing the vertical dimension, and as the vicegerent on earth (khalifah fi al-ard), symbolizing the horizontal dimension.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui tentang pelaksanaan program boarding school, tahapan-tahapan menumbuhkan kemandirian belajar peserta didik di MTs NU Sindujoyo Lumpur Gresik. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan jenis penelitian deskriptif yaitu dengan mengumpulkan data yang muncul agar kemudian bisa disajikan dan ditarik kesimpulan. Metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah observasi, wawancara, dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pelaksanaan program boarding school di MTs NU Sindujoyo Lumpur Gresik, belum sepenuhnya berprogram boarding school karena merupakan sekolah baru berdiri dan proses penataan fasilitas sarana prasarana menuju ke sekolah boarding school seutuhnya. Dan pada tahapan-tahapan pendidik dalam menumbuhkan kemandirian belajar peserta didik melalui program semi boarding school, peserta didik sudah terlaksana dengan baik tetapi masih terdapat beberapa hal yang mempengaruhi stimulus respon peserta didik, meliputi tingkat kemandirian peserta didik yang masih belum menanamkan rasa percaya diri dalam dirinya serta masih menggantungkan terhadap peserta didik lain dalam proses mengerjakan tugas mandiri.

Abstract

The tradition of tahfiz (reciting the Qur'an) dates from the time of the Prophet. that the Messenger of Allah had set with his companions. In Indonesia itself, the journey of how the tahfiz tradition goes through three main periods, namely pre-independence, post-independence until the Reformation era (MTQ 1981). During the pre-independence period, 5 sanads were found to have played a role in the spread of the Qur'an tahfiz and were the source of the huffazas at the tahfiz institution / boarding school, among them K.H. Muhammad Said bin Ismail Sampang, Madura, K.H. Munawaar of Sidayu, Greece, Muhammad Mahfudz al-Tarmasi. Termas Pacitan, K.H. Muhammad Munawwir Krapyak, Yogyakarta and K.H. M. Dahlan Khalil of Rejoso, J Wave. Post-independence came the rise of a new tahfiz institution led by K.H. Muntaha (1912-2004 AD) Percentries of Al 'Asy'ariyah Wonosobo-Central Java and K.H. Joseph Junaidi (1921-1987) Bogor. Over time, the post-Musafqah Hifz al-Qur'an (MHQ) tahfiz institution was developed on the islands of Java and Sulawesi, from 1981 to almost every region in the archipelago.

The tradition of tahfidz (memorizing the Koran) is exist since the time of the Prophet Muhammad. which the Prophet had exemplified with his companions. In Indonesia itself, the journey of the tahfidz tradition goes through three main periods, namely pre-independence, post-independence to the Reformation era (MTQ 1981). In pre-independence, there were 5 sanad that had a role in the spread of tahfidz al-Qur'an and were a source of hufadz in tahfidz institutions/pesantren, including KH. Muhammad Said bin Ismail Sampang, Madura, KH. Munawaar from Sidayu, Gresik, Muhammad Mahfudz at-Tarmasi. Termas Pacitan, KH. Muhammad Munawwir Krapyak, Yogyakarta and KH. M. Dahlan Khalil from Rejoso, Jombang. After independence, a new Tahfidz institution emerged, which was pioneered by KH. Muntaha (1912-2004 AD) Pesantren Al 'Asy'ariyah Wonosobo-Central Java and KH. Yusuf Junaidi (1921-1987) Bogor. Over time, the Tahfidz Institute was formed after the Musabaqah Hifdzil Quran (MHQ) developed on the islands of Java and Sulawesi, so since 1981 until now almost all regions in the archipelago.
