Abstract

Abstract

This paper introduces SPWPM, an automatic speech recognition (ASR) system designed specifically for Indonesian medical dictation. The main objective of SPWPM is to assist medical professionals in producing medical reports and diagnosing patients. Deployed within a cloud computing service architecture, SPWPM strives to achieve a minimum speech recognition accuracy of 95%. The ASR model of SPWPM is developed using Kaldi and PyChain technologies—creating a comprehensive training dataset involving collaboration with PT Dua-Empat-Tujuh and Harapan Kita Hospital. Several optimization techniques were applied, including language modeling with smoothing, lexicon generation using the Grapheme-to-Phoneme Converter, and data augmentation. The readiness of this technology to assist hospital users was assessed through two evaluations: the SPWPM architecture test and the SPWPM speech recognition test. The results demonstrate the system's preparedness in accurately transcribing medical dictation, showcasing its potential to enhance medical reporting for healthcare professionals in hospital environments.

Abstract

The issue of decreased visual acuity in children, especially in primary and junior high school ages, has not been well socialized. Many children and parents still lack understanding regarding the risk factors associated with daily activities that contribute to decreased visual acuity. This study is an analytical observational research using a cross-sectional approach. The research was conducted on all students from grade I to grade VI of SD Unggulan Al-Amin, totaling 266 individuals, and all students from grade VII to grade IX of SMP Unggulan Al-Amin, totaling 120 individuals. Data were collected through visual acuity examinations using the Snellen chart at 6 meters and interviews guided by a questionnaire. Data were analyzed using the chi-square test. Among the students of SD Unggulan Al-Amin, six factors were found to have a significant relationship with decreased visual acuity based on the chi-square test. These six factors are reading position (p=0.001), frequency of cellphone use (p=0.000), duration of gadget use (p=0.001), gadget usage position (p=0.040), distance while watching TV (p=0.046), and distance from eyes to cellphone screen (p=0.019). Among the students of SMP Unggulan Al-Amin, eight factors were found to have a significant relationship, including reading position (p=0.00), frequency of cellphone use (p=0.000), duration of gadget use (p=0.000), gadget usage position (p=0.000), frequency of TV watching (p=0.001), duration of TV watching (p=0.000), distance while watching TV (p=0.000), and distance from eyes to cellphone screen (p=0.000). Decreased visual acuity was experienced by 56.8% of students from SD Unggulan Al-Amin and 18.3% of students from SMP Unggulan Al-Amin. There is a significant relationship between risk factors and decreased visual acuity, including reading position, frequency of cellphone use, duration of gadget use, gadget usage position, frequency of TV watching, duration of TV watching, distance while watching TV, and distance from eyes to cellphone screen.

Abstract

Hospital Accreditation is an acknowledgment of the Minister of Health through the Hospital Accreditation Committee (an independent assessment agency), that the Hospital has met the quality service standards constinously. Research was conducted on the topic of service quality and patient safety at the Sartika Asih Hospital Bandung (RSBSA) in 2019 and 2020. The purpose was to obtain secondary data on the implementation of quality and patient safety indicators, service complaints data and solutions offered, also data on patient satisfaction. In January to March 2021, about 450 respondents were taken to see their perceptions on hospital services based on the primary data. Hospital failure to meet minimum service standards according to predetermined indicators can lead to the failure of therapeutic contract. This is supported by the Hospital Law Number 44 Year 2009 Article 32 letter (q) which states: every patient has the right to sue and/or sue the hospital, if the hospital is suspected of providing services that are not in accordance with standards, both civil and criminal. Thus, a violation of the rules might result in a lawsuit. With the preventive and repressive legal protection, it is hoped that the patients’ rights to quality and safety can be fulfilled by the hospital.

Abstract

The purpose of this community service is to provide an understanding of rights and duties, which are two essential concepts in social life, including in the context of citizenship. In Indonesia, the rights and duties of citizens are regulated in the 1945 Constitution and various other laws. Citizens' rights can be understood as all that a citizen is entitled to, either in the form of authority or power. Meanwhile, duties refer to things that must be done as members of society. In general, duties are actions that must be carried out in order to obtain our rights. As Indonesian citizens, we have rights that must be respected and fulfilled, as well as duties that must be carried out as a form of our responsibility to the state and society. Based on a situational analysis, an issue has been identified: the lack of understanding among the residents of Manggarmas Village, Godong District, Grobogan, Central Java, regarding the rights and duties of citizens from a gender perspective. To provide a solution to this issue, the Community Service Team from the Gender and Child Research Center at USM will offer counseling to the residents of Manggarmas Village, Godong District, Grobogan, Central Java, regarding the rights and duties of citizens from a gender perspective.

Abstract

This study develops and evaluates a sentiment analysis model using IndoBERTweet to analyze Twitter data on Indonesia’s biodiversity policy. Twitter data focusing on topics such as food security, health, and environmental management were collected, with a representative subset of 13,435 tweets annotated from a larger dataset of 500,000 to ensure reliable sentiment labels through majority voting. IndoBERTweet was compared to seven traditional machine-learning classifiers using TF-IDF and BERT embeddings for feature extraction. Model performance was assessed using mean accuracy, mean F1 score, and statistical significance (p-values). Additionally, sentiment analysis included word attribution techniques with BERT embeddings, enhancing relevance, interpretability, and consistent attribution to deliver accurate insights. IndoBERTweet models consistently outperformed traditional methods in both accuracy and F1 score. While BERT embeddings boosted performance for conventional models, IndoBERTweet delivered superior results, with p-values below 0.05 confirming statistical significance. This approach demonstrates that the model’s outputs are explainable and align with human understanding. Findings underscore IndoBERTweet’s substantial impact on advancing sentiment analysis technology, showcasing its potential to drive innovation and elevate practices in the field.
