Abstract

Indonesia is famous for various culture that attracts many tourists from several part of the world to have a visit. Besides having numerous culture, Indonesia is flourished with different ethnics, too, such as the Javanese, the Bataknese, the Indian and the Chinese. Every ethnic speak with different language, but formally the national language is Indonesian language. In this study, the researcher, who derives from Chinese ethnic and resides in Medan, has taken interest in preserving her mother tongue which is Hokkien language. Hokkien language is an informal language which is used by the Hokkien speakers to communicate with one another. In maintaining language, the researcher focuses on the phenomena that happens lately, the researcher feels that Hokkien language is not important for some of the young family in Medan, they teach their children the other language that develops immensely throughout people life. Even though some still maintain Hokkien language, the researcher feels that children do not put any interest in speaking their mother tongue. This will give negative impact to the language existence. The problem in this study is concerned with factors influencing the preservation of Hokkien language. The presentation of the data described in qualitative descriptive method and this study conducted through field survey with interviews and observation. The findings revealed that there are two kinds of language maintenance between young speakers and old speakers. The former has lesser effort in maintaining the language, while the latter has stronger effort. Despite the difference, all of Hokkien speakers still make use of the language in their daily activities. Other factors are the language status of Hokkien language as the mother tongue as well as the identity of Hokkien ethnic, the pride of the culture, and the solidary among Hokkien speakers.

Abstract

The mixing code language between Bahasa and English as daily conversations in the millennial generation has a massive use nowadays. In this research, the background of that phenomenon will be analyzed by the accommodation communication theory approach. The objective of this research is to observe the accommodation process of this type of communication and how millennials habituate it to any other communications and interactions. The method of this research is qualitative descriptive. The informants will be chosen by using purposive sampling. The data is collected by interviews, direct observations, and documentation. The data analyzing technique in this research will be carried through several steps; data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion. The research result showed that the usage of the mixing code allowed by positive interpretations of English as a modern language than Bahasa. Pride and prestige of social status for its speaker also motivate millennials to speak it. Therefore, a lot of millennials try to fluent in English by mixing it with Bahasa in their daily conversation and try to adjust to those social perspectives. Thus, the process of accommodation of this mixing code communication takes place easier in millennial circles.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan kemampuan berpikir kreatif matematis siswa SMP kelas VII ditinjau dari tipe kepribadian dengan model PBL. Dalam penelitian ini, dipilih 8 siswa kelas VII B SMP Negeri 1 Demak yang berasal dari tipe kepribadian artisan, idealist, guardian, dan rational sebagai subjek penelitian. Metode pada penelitian ini adalah tes, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Tes penggolongan tipe kepribadian dan wawancara untuk mengetahui tipe kepribadian masing-masing siswa. Tes kemampuan berpikir kreatif matematis dan wawancara dianalisis untuk mendeskripsikan kemampuan berpikir kreatif matematis siswa berdasarkan aspek kelancaran, keluwesan, keaslian dan elaborasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa subjek pada tipe kepribadian (1) artisan teridentifikasi pada aspek kelancaran, keluwesan, keaslian dan elaborasi cenderung cukup baik, cukup baik, baik dan tidak baik; (2) guardian teridentifikasi pada aspek kelancaran, keluwesan, keaslian dan elaborasi cenderung cukup baik, kurang baik, kurang baik dan tidak baik; (3) idealist teridentifikasi pada aspek kelancaran, keluwesan, keaslian dan elaborasi cenderung baik, cukup baik, cukup baik dan tidak baik; dan (4) rational pada aspek kelancaran, keluwesan, keaslian dan elaborasi cenderung sangat baik. Serta secara umum rational memenuhi ke empat aspek kemampuan berpikir kreatif matematis, sedangkan tipe artisan, guardian dan idealist tidak memenuhi keempat aspek kemampuan berpikir kreatif matematis.

Abstract

Indonesia, which is known as an agricultural country, needs special attention in the agricultural sector. This is due to the warning of the threat of a global Food Crisis by FAO. In addition, there are capital problems for some actors in the agricultural sector. With one of the financial institutions that has an important role in advancing SMEs is BPR. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to examine the impact of economic growth in the agricultural sector on the profitability of rural banks in the Sulawesi Region. The research used quantitative methods conducted at rural banks in Sulawesi that have been registered with OJK. This study used as many as 14 BPR as samples. Data collection using the purposive sampling method has been registered with OJK and has complete financial statements from 2013-2022. This research uses Panel Data analysis techniques processed through STATA 14. The result of this study is that the GDP of the Agricultural Sector, DPK and CAR does not have a significant and positive effect on the ROA of BPR. NPL has a significant and negative effect on ROA. BOPO has a significant and positive effect on ROA. LDR has no effect and negative effect on ROA Then based on simultaneous tests of PDRB, DPK, CAR, NPL, BOPO and LDR variables have a significant effect on ROA.
